Hello there. I have somewhat a complex question regarding Retroarch. Currently I use a lot of different emulators for different systems. Thanks to Hyperlaunch/Rocketlauncher, it's fairly easy to configure and get an overall good user experience even if I run into small problems here and there. So I'm wondering is Retroarch is something for me or if I should stick with my current setup that, well, just works. And as I work in IT, I learned the hard way that, if it's not broken, don't fix it. I'm not interested in Retroarch's superior visuals/shader system for emulators. This is just not for me. Hi folks I have a question; When I'm playing games in Mame, the bottom of the image comes slower than the top. (look at the street light in the video) Is this my graphic card (Ati 5700), my TV set (Samsung 32inch 100hz) or the emulator itself? Thanks in advance

I'm experiencing a really weird issue. I added SweetFX to Sega Model 2 and it's looks great. The problem is when I add a bezel, the screen gets darker and SweetFX gets all messed up. Turning off the bezel clears everything up and the game goes back to looking good again. I tried different resolution bezels and nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

When Amiga 32 CD loads full screen it flickers and is unplayable. If I switch to Full window mode, it works perfect. In the "Commodore Amiga CD32.ini" there is an option [settings] Fullscreen=true If I set this to false the games load without the flicker but only in a small window. I want it to load to the "full window" mode

Hi guys. I have a new problem with mameuifx64 159 official. This is a fresh install. Mame is frequently crashing upon exiting a game (E in my setup). The worst part is that it is also creating a blank default config when this happens. I can't find any info when I search. Please help me out. Thanks Junky

I just updated from 145 to 149 and tried mk4 but the player 2 fourth button which is W causes the game to get fuzzy. I read its a debug key in newer mame versions? Anyone know a work around so I don't have to change the button?

Hi Guys! Currently trying to run ScummVM from HyperSpin. I already have a couple of other Systems running fine, but I'm not sure on how to set up ScummVM. What I did: 1) ScummVM is running fine standalone, I have currently one game in it (samnmax is the short name, it's Sam N Max hit the road) 2) I downloaded the corresponding XML and deleted everything except samnmax from it. I've also downloaded the corresponding Default theme and wheel images, the wheel of Sam N Max shows up fine in HyperSpin. 3) As HyperLaunch shows 7z as the default extension, I zipped Sam N Max to samnmax.7z, set the extension in HyperspinHQ to 7z and set the rom path to the directory containin…

Hi guys, I've played around with ParaJVE (GCE Vectrex emulator) today. It works nicely, I was also able to add it to Hyperspin. It launches nicely as well. Just one strangeness is going on for me. I have two Namco Arcade Sticks hooked up via a Playstation-to-USB adapter on my PC. Usually, I have no problem using just one Arcade Stick on port one of the adapter (it comes with two ports) and plugging in the second one when needed. For ParaJVE, apparently, both Arcade sticks have the same internal "ID", which results in only the second one working in the second port. Hi everyone, can anybody help with setting Desmume up to work with the DS bezels. I've been trying for 3 days and can't get the screens to line up up with windows in the bezels. The emulator itself works perfectly it's just adjusting the screens to fit the bezel that eludes me. Thank you.

Hello All I am having some trouble with ssf and Im not sure what to do . I set it up in hyper laucher and I can right click on a game and select ssf and it runs mounts the game ok and plays fine .But when I try to load it in hyperspin I get a black screen . I have seen many posts about black screens but none that seem to have this problem Thanks for any help .

I was wondering if it would be possible for GB & GBA emulation to start with the startup sound and Nintendo logo on RetroArch. I've seen several times the Nintendo logo briefly before a game boots so it appears that the rest of the animation and sound is skipped. Is there a BIOS I need to place somewhere? If so which and with what filename?

Hi all, I'm getting a black screen error when trying to run different roms from various emulators. I went into Hyper Launch HQ and added the modules for the emulators so I'm not sure what the problem is. I got MAME to work perfectly. Here is the error I get for NES, SNES, etc.: Your module does not contain a "StartModule()" line. Please download a module that has one. Thanks for any help. I have a feeling it is something very simple.

I'm on the verge of giving up trying to get Zinc to work through Hyperspin but I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. Games work fine through Aldo's Front End and any other front end I've tried but I can't get them to run through HyperLaunch HQ or HyperSpin I'm using djvj's ahk 2.0.2 and if I try to run Cool Boarders Arcade Jam from the games tab in HyperLaunch HQ I get the following message:- "Cannot find Rom "67" in any Rom_Paths provided: "I:\Games\Zinc" with any provided Rom_Extension: "zip"" The Rom path is correct and roms are named not numbered. Any help will be greatfully appreciated Steve

Hello all. I have scoured the InterWebs and every method I have found fails. In my attempt to get all the Sega Dreamcast games running and figure out what emu to use for each, I ran across a snag. I have some games that have CCD or CDI file extensions and cannot figure out how to convert them successfully or get them to load in an emulator. Does someone out there have any suggestions? Or know where I can find GDI versions of these roms (PM only please)? Getting an error everytime i try to load something in MAME through Hyperspin, coming up as "No Defualt_Emulator error. Dunno if im just missing a file or what, but its becoming a HUGE headache for me. I have all other Cart based systems working, with video, wheel, etc. Mame theme, wheel, video, etc all work. Just doenst load the game. Please help, thanks

Hi, I got Daphne all set-up using the guide. No problems. But when I run Dragon's Lair from Hyperspin or HyperlaunchHQ I have a black screen between a lot of scene changes. When I run Lair from the Daphneloader I dont have these black screens. Anyone an idea what to change to get rid of these black screens? cheers, Daan

I have followed gigapigs video guide for TTX to the letter but strangely it still will not work, when i try to launch it wants a rom extension (which we all know it doesnt need) so if i ADD a rom extension (bat for example) i get the message 'pclauncher does not require a rom extension, please remove the rom extension... so i remove it and it looks for one again....

I am using the latest hyperspin and latest hyperlaunch hq ive set up pc games as a virtual emulator,using PCLauncher as the module, pointed to the games directory, games are found in hyperlaunch but when I attempt to launch the PC Games wheel hyperspin closes down!! Now ive never experienced a complete shutdown of the FE before! any ideas how I can fix this??

I have Hyperspin set up, and it is working fairly well, just trying to get out some of the kinks here and there. The one that is bugging me the most right now is that I have all of the main MAME games that I love, but I am having a difficult time getting the various Mods of those games to run in Hyperspin. Let's take Street Fighter 2 Championship Edition as an example. I have a ton of different versions of this game that I would love to be able to play and enjoy all of the differences, but Hyperspin seems to only display the ones that it wants to, not all of the ones that I have in the ROM folder or in the Mame.xml file. All of these games are listed in Hyperlaunch HQ…

I completed a fresh install of hyperspin but I'm not sure I have done it correctly as when I load fusion it states it cannot find the fusion ini file in an error message, I have checked hyperspin and the fusion ini word documents have populated the emulator information in the hyperlaunch setting directory but not in the hyperspin setting directory. I could populate the hyperspin fusion setting ini file manually but if that is the issue why has it not populated itself when I used the hyperlaunch HQ GUI setup? is it because when I first loaded hyperspin hq it did not ask for the location of the hyperlaunch exe file like it used to on earlier hyperspin versions I have tried.…

I am trying to get games to load in STEEM for the Atari ST. I can open the STEEM emulator no worries and it has "Disk A", "Disk B" and the "Trash" at the bottom. But when I open HyperlaunchHQ and try to launch a game, it just opens up the STEEM emulator to the desktop every time. Now I am a super noob in reguards to the Atari ST and old computer systems so I know it's probably just a setting i need to set but there are quite a few settings in STEEM and I have no idea what 3/4 of them do. Is there another emulator I should be using for the Atari ST or do you guys need a screen shot of all my settings to help me figure out whats wrong? Thanks -Mike

Hey everyone, I am having some troubles with Mednafen. I downloaded the latest version (Mednafen 0.9.38.2 - February 16, 2015) on two different computers and get the same problem, which is that the mednafen.exe wont execute at all, it isn't even listed in the task manager. The first time I moved the contents of the zip archive into my emulators folder and ran the exe, it created a few folders and files but didnt run the program at all. Anyone else having this problem or am I doing something wrong? Thanks -Mike
