When using a CRT television - ya know those silver-cased babies from the early 2000s with lots of inputs - is there a preferred method for connecting the PC? I've read about people using VGA>S-Video adapters with good results but wouldn't component video lead to a better image? There's a few threads I found out in the wild that talk of a Component YPbPr output PC video card but I can't seem to locate any decent models.

It looks like there's existing xml files for subcategories under MAME but how do I set up my wheel to take advantage of this sorting method? With over 3500 active MAME titles on one wheel it would be great to have them split into subgenres for easier navigation. I tried searching for a solution on the forum but the only things I could find were a bit antiquated. Thanks!

Everytime I'm trying to open a rom on n64 or any sega system, hyperspin freezes and I can hear the rom running. Once I hit escape it goes to the rom and I can play,but then I must hit escape again and it takes it out of full screen then I have to close that window to get back into hyperspin. Anyway I can fix this so when I open the rom it loads instantly, and when I escape it goes directly back to hyperspin?

Hi, I'm having problems with dons hyperlist generator, for some reason it isn't finding any roms at all for any of my emulators, mame and n64, it shows that I have artwork and themes but no game, I've checked all folder paths in hyperhq and they are correct, everything to do on the hyperspin side of things works perfectly, just can't get past this list generator, any help please I really want to get rid of some of these games that I don't want Thanks Just thought I'd add an update here for anyone who might be having the same problem, I never did get dons list generator to work I have no idea what the problem was, I did find this though http://hyperspin-fe.com/oldsite/in…

Hey guys, I appear to be having a problem with Hyperspin and Hyperlaunch. Hyperspin starts fine, but then when I go to a game and hit the start key, nothing happens. I have looked on taskmanager, and it looks like, when I do hit the start key, Hyperlaunch starts for a second, and then exits. However, nothing changes on the screen. Hey I tried like 10 different versions on DD roms and all of them start out ok but when there are 2 or more guys on screen it lags wicked bad. And no other Roms do this except for Gauntlet dark legacy Please help

Im assuming the path has changed, I had a hard drive going bad, copied and transferred to new drive, Hyperspin starts up ok but whenever i choose a game on any system it comes up with a error: CANNOT FIND HYPERLAUNCH EXE I read to change the settings for path location but cant find the Hyperspin settings???

I have just added a pc game to my HS setup, it was Resident Evil HD. I used the gigaguides tutorial, everything was going well until I load the game. The game launches through HL via the rocket tab, HS starts , game loading screen then the error appears ahk_pid 13244, but the game is running in the background.... Does anyone know how to fix this error? I am trying my hardest to learn all this, getting there slowly,the tutorials are great btw. Just the odd error I get thanks in advance

Hi...I have a question, let me say im new to the Hyperspin systems. I have a Bartop aracde machine that I have been using for the past two years and I would like to start adding games and other systems. It has the older version of hyper and launch on it. So After taking the back off the back it has a very tiny hard drive 60 gig only so im very limited. I started building a new system on my laptop and its becoming over 60 gigs so I was going to get a External hard drive and use that. So what Im wondering how can I use a external harrdive via usb? Hello everyone. Have a new hyperspin setup with xbix 360 wired and wireless controler (testet both) runs on windows 7 x64 with 8gb ram and an amd a8 7600. When i start hyperspin und press any direktion on the analog stick the wheel spins forever. if i set up and down in hyperhq on a button from the controler nothing happens. Only when i use joytokey map tha analog stick on keystrockes the wheel runs fine. Can anyone help me? I want a ntive controler to spin the wheel.

I had hyperspin / hyperlaunch and Hyperlaunchhq set up and working with xpadder. I used joytokey to navigate the front end. So i could exit emulators without having to hit esc on the keyboard. And for each system i had xpadder setup for each one. I recently upgrade to the following versions of hyperapps. My hyperlaunchhq.exe is version 1.1.1.2 My hyperlaunch.exe is version 3.1.0.4 Beta My hyperspin.exe is version 1.3.2.0 Seems that even after making and testing profiles hyperspin, hyperlaunch and hyperlaunchhq cannot find the profiles to load. Hi Lads, as I had the extra RAM in pc I upgraded from xp 32bit to 7 64bit. I copied hyperspin to external HDD then copied back, however, I have two issues that are wrecking my head, and can't seem to figure them out. 1) I have an ipac2 and had it working perfectly before upgrade. How to I assign the enter\exit key to match the hyperspin? For the life of me I cant remember. 2) When I launch mame within hyperspin I get a blank screen with sound. It works perfectly outside of hyperspin. Version I am using is mameuifx. Again had no issues before upgrading. I shouldnt have bother with 7 and keep xp, ah sure, you live an learn :-) Thanks lads.

Hello, I got some pms a few weeks ago that my mame xml was gone from the hyperlist, I went there and they were all gone! ?? I downloaded some of the mame genre xml files and placed them in the database folder with the mame.xml file, although hyperspin says no genre.xml found. Do I need an overall genre.xml file that points to the individual genre files? Are the genre files designed to be their own subwheels rather than genre lists within a subwheel?

Hi guys, Everytime i go into my Sony Playstation wheel i get an error message like this - "Can not find Genre.xml". I have a custom Sony Playstation.xml with only a few games, and don't want any genres, i just want it to display my games properly. It works on all my other wheels with custom xml so i dont know why this is the only one freaking out. Using the latest hyperlaunch 2.25c =). Does anyone know how to fix this or perhaps disable the genresystem for the Sony Playstation wheel? /LALLA

Games work everything. im looking for a way to program my arcade controls to exit an emulator instead of having to hit esc on the keyboard.
