I know the subject has been brought up before however I have been unable to find a solution as of yet. I have a 15 button Elgato Stream Deck attached to my cabinet. My goal is to have the stream deck button functionality to work so that I can press a "go" or "exit" button on the stream deck and have it navigate through the wheels (to include exiting HS back to windows). I was able to get mame (directly) to work with it by editing the mame.ini file and changing the "OSD INPUT OPTIONS" - "keyboardprovider" from "Auto" to "dinput". Doing so has allowed me to access the service menu as well as exit games while playing a rom using mame directly. However with HyperSp…

hyperspin.exe suddenly wont open. I even tried reinstalling the latest version and temporarily disabling windows defender but I still get the same error. Anybody know what the problem is? It shows up in Task Manager for a brief second but then disappears.

Hi all Its been about 5 years since I've built a HyperSpin setup. I'm planning on a new arcade cab and just trying to catch up on any new school info when selecting a P.C and OS. The cab will be dedicated arcade only and am planning on just buying a cheap refurb P.C. - My first question is Windows 7 or 10? - The second is will an i5 with 8gig ram and external SSD do the job for such things as MAME and MODEL2? Sorry for the noob questions, just want some advice from the pro's before I buy. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I have video snaps for MAME from EMUMOVIES, but some have soft volume, some have loud volume, and some have very loud volume. Is there a way to control the volume for each snap movie (displayed during the MAME Wheel)? For example, could you designate a volume level in the Theme for each game? Speaking of which, is there a webpage/wiki/document somewhere that explains the controls available in the Theme.xml file? Thanks!

Is it possible to disable the ability to jump through the wheel by first letter? Moving the joystick left/right does this but I do not want that behavior. I just want up/down to move through the games. Sent from my Surface Duo using Tapatalk

I really need some help with this. I am attempting to install hypserspin to my nvidia shield. I am using an external usb devis to hold the files. When i click to open hyperspin i get "No hypersin data folder found! Valid locations are "/storage/uuiid/hyperspin, /sdcard/heperspin", or /storage/sdcard0/hyperspin" Please visit hyperspin-fe.com. Why is it trying to access my SD card when my shield doesnt even have a sd card slot. It should be accessing the external USB storage i added. I just cant for the life of me figure out who to ask for help on this. Thank you!

Hey guys/gals. I have been away for a while due to family life etc. I have an old version of Hyperspin,apart from it being a little laggy,and the wheel not stop spinning i have been getting issues with controls not working the User Interface. When i go into HyperHQ,it sometimes doesnt start (the Program itself) to change the controls. I was going to update my build with the latest Hyperspin update,but i just noticed that it states Windows now breaks Hyperspin, so im hesitant to install anything now....Has this issue been fixed? Is it possible just to download the HyperHQ exe and swap it over to see if it fixes my loading error of controls? If i was …

A bit of backstory: I loaded Windows 10 onto a Dell 9010 with an R5 230 GPU, with Calamity's drivers, everything seemed ok, until starting HyperSpin, and then when the theme loads for a Mame game (I assume other systems would be the same), the sound plays, but there is a 5 second delay to the video playing. Through searching i found the issue with flash/green videos/videos not playing etc (though i thought that had been fixed), but with the depreciation of flash, it is getting harder to get this installed and fixed. (we used to right click on a video being played in firefox, and disable hardware acceleration), but now we can't do that... There's 2 things you hav…

I’m using windows 7 and when I plug the usb from my aimtrak gun and start hyperspin it goes crazy causing the hyperspin wheel to keep spinning not allowing me to pick any gameconsole until I disconnect it. Can someone help me with this problem I would greatly appreciate it. If your up for the task you can remotely connect to my computer to see what going on. Also i have a dual boot system with windows 7 64 but and windows 10 64 bit. It doesn’t do it on the windows 10 side

I can't get the Dolphin, Sega model 3, or Sega Triforce or some of the games to work. The games run fine but hyperspin doesn't load the game fast enough. It just gets stuck in the "Now Loading" screen and then it loads after a long time. Can you please help me?

Sorry if there are instruction on this. I can't seem to locate them. Is there a way to enable debug logging with HyperSpin? Currently, my HyperSpin will sometimes abruptly just exit and the current log has zero data at the moment of the process stopping. Just the usual start up logging.

What does the startup script do in hyperhq? I recently added joytokey to work with mame arcade setup. In order for it to work, I had to change the startup script in hyperhq to point to joytokey. I noticed search option don't work after th change. Can I create a powershell script to start both startup script and joytokey and place the script in the startup path in hyperhq? So I can joytokey map to the search option? Or will it crash?

Hi all, I've been trying to fix my system for days and days. I cannot figure out what the problem is. I've read EVERYTHING on the internet. I've changed settings. I downloaded the newest HyperSpin. Games work perfectly if I launch directly from MAME or if I launch from within Rocket Launcher. But if trying through HyperSpin, I can use by stick (X-Arcade) to scroll through system and games, but when I attempt to start a game through HyperSpin no button or keyboard key will start the game. I have some Mame videos that I would like to play when the wheel is pointing to the respective game. I’ve searched the forum, but haven’t found how to do that—so any help would be appreciated. Also, if there is a source for simple artwork to go with the videos (e.g. the original cabinet art), please share where that can be found. I have the artwork from hyperspin, but it’s rather busy and large. Thanks!

I changed <enabled> from Yes to No on some games in my Mame.xml file (and removed the Roms only filter), and now Hyperspin gives me a “Mame.xml file is invalid” error. Another Newbie question: I have games showing up in the Wheel that the roms aren't there for, and I have games not showing up that I do have the roms for. All of the roms are located in the same place. I have the Roms Only filter active, but no other filters. Where is the XML file located for the Hyperspin wheel, and what is it called? I found a MAME.xml file and two MAME (Version) XML files in the Databases -> MAME folder, but none of them seem to be the right ones. Also, what events will trigger Hyperspin to redo the XML file (and ruin all of my work)? Searching, I found this post -- but it is archived (and so I can't reply to it).

I'm a newbie trying to get Hyperspin to work, so thanks in advance! Problem: I can get RocketLaunch to work fine. However, when I select a game in Hyperspin, I get a "Cannot find Launcher" error. Troubleshooting: - I go to the DOS command line in the RocketLauncher directory and type: RocketLauncher.exe MAME 1941 and it works fine. Hi guys! I built a brand new setup for emulation on my PC because the first one i used it was very laggy in HS wheels and so on. I downloaded the latest HyperSpin and RocketLaucher versions and done all it needed. Problem is; when i launch games using RocketLauncher all is fine, and the joypad i also configured with Xpadder works perfectly. But if i run HyperSpin, and try to launch, for example, a MAME rom, i can't do it any joypad buttons or keyboard keys i press. The wheels works well, so the animations, audio and video, so i can't understand what's not working in launching the games. I tried all i could, but i lost hours and hours without success..
