Rain Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Free File Synchronization Utility For HyperSpinners Let me first start by saying hello to everybody, and that I hope everybody is doing well today. I have been working with a rather large company on creating software; but they pulled the plug on the project when they decided that they couldn't pay. The application was dubbed Pineapple Sync, and some of you I have already spoken with about the application for the rest of you, you still have no clue what it is yet. The application is a file synchronization utility application that will let you keep your files in sync between multiple PC's, FTP, Azure, Amazon and local file systems. This utility was originally designed to synchronize files across a company network, but needless to say the companies ambitious hopes were bigger than their funds. The company was unable to pay for the application and therefore after 90 days the source code become my sole property. Using Pineapple sync you can basically run your own private DropBox service (server machine required of course), seed torrent files using multiple PC's across a network and keep all of your data up to date with incremental backups. The application was originally slotted to be sold as either a company license ($1,800) or a personal license ($325); however I personally have no plans on making profit from this application, so I thought that it would be in my best interest to just release the application as freeware to all HyperSpin gold and above members to help assist in transferring files to remote machines (ie arcade cabinets.) The application can safely be released to the general public after another 14 day waiting period. If you are willing to help me test the project and finish up the application please feel free to let me know via this thread. I have attached a screenshot of the program to give you a basic ideal of what it looks like. Thanks guys!
