Rain Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 So, as you may already know I have been actively programming HyperList 2.0 for quite sometime now and am very close to releasing it to the world. However, before I do that I just want you all to know that I am hosting an on-line party this coming Friday where users can test out the new EmuMovies, HyperSpin FTP replacement utility. I will also be showing off HyperList 2.0 to the world, and talking a little bit about its power and what it can do to change the way we think of gaming. When developing HyperList 2.0 I did so from the perspective as a gamer vs. a desktop application developer. Therefore, you will see a lot of new features within vs previous versions; so expect the unexpected. Below is a short list of what HyperList 2.0 can do for you. Create databases for any systemCreate by genre, rating, developer and more [*]Allow users to write gaming reviews for any game in the database [*]Allow users to easily create and manage custom game list [*]Upload gameplay videos, screenshots and write comments on a game [*]View gaming manuals, technical information regarding systems or games [*]Stay up to date with the latest emulators for each system [*]Automatically be notified whenever updated databases become available [*]And, much more! HyperList 2.0 is the pinnacle of my HyperCareer (as it were) and I know that it will be enjoyed by thousands of users seeking the latest most up-to-date information for their favorite gaming systems, and their favorite frontend. Now, on another note: I am in need of someone to come up with an official HyperList 2.0 icon as well as a banner which will be used in the application itself. So, if you are interested in showing the world your HyperList 2.0 logo please feel free to do so here on this forum, and the community can decide on which one they want to use. Please keep in mind that the new HyperList 2.0 logo and icon should reflect the Internet and cloud based applications, light and colorful are essential to this task. Thanks everybody!

djvj Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Are the new databases going to be released in conjunction with the release of HL 2.0? No, these will trickle in as we can update them. Rain Posted October 8, 2013 Author Posted October 8, 2013 Yes DJ is correct, HyperList 2.0 will not be an immediate usher in for new databases. However, it does mean that the "crucial" framework will be laid out so that the new databases can easily be created by the HyperList administrators. I would like to get HyperList done well before any new lists come out that way we can fully test the functionality, add new features and so forth. Thanks for all the positive reinforcements guys!
jeanvion Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I'm really looking forward to see how hyperspin 2.0 works Rain. If you are so enthousiastic about it then it must be a great application! If it will have the same impact as hypersync than it will be a new ground breaker once again making the life of users more simple. Seeing you (and other dedicated ones) do all that work makes me want to join in to help out where possible, I am a system engineer who like to devote some time. Expect a PM soon!

Polemicist Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 If real life issues didn't get in my way right now. Do you have a time in mind for this party? Hard to accept an invitation without the party location, time and knowing what present you want.
RodentVienna Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 i am seeking for like forever for user freedom in end2end ful-fledged db creation. This seriously is the best piece of news in my HS user career Rain, mind having me have a backend access logon, for education purposes? NDA, drop of blood, anything you'd like to have for security (you name it); let me please see it thanks Alex
Deadly Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Really thought you were MIA Rain. I had posted a question in the Hypersync threads and it's still unanswered which is typically not like you. Noticing a lack of your presence around here made me wonder if you were going to become one of those "God I miss that guy wondered whatever happened to him" people. Looking forward to the new changes. Between you and Djvj - man I just haven't been disappointed!
sandman7793 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 You must of missed his post then, a month ago he said he was going to have to take some time off from the forums. He still pops his head in every now and then. Sent from my Galaxy S4 sporting the new lifeproof case! now Free A boy stuck in a mans body
Rain Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 Just posting a quick little update regarding what has been done thus far for everybody. Completed: View system statuses (ie, total number of games, update version) View individual game information (ie, release year, mfg, user comments, screenshots, preview videos) Download databases for a systemFilters supported by mfg, year, locale, user rating, emulation statuses, control type [*]Create custom databases for a system Easy to use pick and choose control for effortless custom database creation [*]Dynamic DAT generation (used to create DAT files for various purposes) [*]Search the database (search the entire HyperList database to find games based on a multitude of criteria) [*]Write game reviews for any given game within HyperList [*]Join in on system discussions, game discussions as well as emulation discussions [*]Report incorrect data directly to HyperList administration staff [*]Show off your HyperSpin pride as we unveil the HyperSpin gamer tag (HyperTag) (Displays last game played, total games played in your signature post) (Ability to link HyperList to your Twitter or Facebook account to show the world what you've been playing in realtime) [*]Much, much more. Once again allow me to just say thank you to everybody involved in this project. It has been in the works for a little over a year now and it is finally all coming together very nicely. I would like to remind everybody that we are still looking for talented artist that would be able to assist in the creation of icons, logos and other various artworks (as we cannot release without an icon lol.) To give you all an idea of what HyperList 2.0 will look like and to help out my fellow artist in the creation of the above mentioned I have obtained permission to release 3 screenshots of HyperList 2.0 (keep in mind the final version of HyperList 2.0 may not look exactly like this, and certain features have been cut from the image to keep them a secret until the official launch date.) THK Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Awesome. Hate that I don't have the time to do the icons etc atm. ..........................back with a vengeance........................
