shilmover
BTW, do you really need heat sinks that big?
chriz99
you can also use the "star heatsink" (posted in this thread)... 5-7cm diameter, 1cm height. if you prefer "invisible" mounting, you have to go with the small tower heatink. don't forget that the cree high power rgbw led generates up to 7watt. if there's no cooling it will fry in minutes. chriz99
they are insanely bright even at 50% load. It was just a first test without ledwiz-control. I can't say when it's going to be released, I am just a beta-tester. It's Manofwar's code and he will release it when it's done.

shilmover
BTW, What are you going to use for the rotating light(s)? I have a couple of cheap ones that I picked up a while ago for the kids for fun, but they are very noisy.
chriz99
yes, the cheap ones are very noisy. I will use the cree rgbw-leds for the rotation effect (blinky). which rgb-leds are you using, any links?

I will use the cree rgbw-leds for the rotation effect (blinky).which rgb-leds are you using, any links? You will just flash them? THe LEDs I am looking at are these. Thinking of buying a bunch to save shipping and offering them to others on the board at cost. Any interest in that? http://cgi.ebay.com/3W-High-Power-RGB-Led-6-Pins-1pcs_W0QQitemZ260685932940QQcategoryZ66954QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D10%26pmod%3D380284277736%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D4790049389093230330

chriz99
BTW, does the LED-Wiz have a common annode or cathode? you need common anode led. 1 "plus" wire to the ledwiz voltage bank and 3 "minus" wires to the ledwiz outputs.
