If you wish to contribute, please post in the official PS2 Wheels Project topic: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?21260-WheelArt-Sony-PlayStation-2

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have uploaded all the wheels I've collected over the past year for convenience, also did some myself and cleaned a large number of them as well. Credit goes to the various wheel makers around here. Enjoy.

Im currently DLing the complete PS2 set... gots me some hard drives just for that! I have been copying and hunting PS2 art since the dawn of me doing this. I will upload to the FTP too. I wont merge them as I aint been through to test any yet.

Be aware I have not sorted any of this out, But they seem legit with the naming. There may be some missing gems in there that could help as I have been downloading them one by one and grabbing art form various sites. Once my Download finally finishes of the games I can sort it out a little more. Around 2500 wheels so far

If someone could PM me a XML for the system I can start merging everything together and renaming it all... Im getting good at this renaming now ;)

EDIT: While Im at it, I will upload my Cover art and Disk art too. Currently 2200 covers... although many dupes but good quality, and 366 disk images. All going into Eooodares Folder if you can use them. My internets not the best so may take a while :(

Unfortunately the xml I have is probably quite outdated. I'm sure someone else around here has a newer one. As for artwork collecting, well this is just a wheels collection. I wouldn't trust art from other sites to be up to HS standards. Must be within 400x175px for starters. Even many in this set need to be redone someday, lot of messy ones but they'll do for now.

Actually if you have wheels that you're not sure about regarding quality or whatever, just put them in a sub folder before uploading. Then they can be checked over separately without accidentally overwriting anything I may have fixed or cleaned.

UPDATE

Just finished going through and removing a bunch of duplicates I came across. Overlooked them before due to similar names and some having dashes. Also fixed quite a few up and removed a ton of ugly trademark symbols. I may have missed some but it's a big improvement.

So go ahead and redownload.

Ok, I downloaded and merged yours with mine. Seems I only had an extra 10 wheels or something. Total of 1594 of 2602. However I do have like 2200 and I have not renamed them yet.

Could you tell me though... is there a way to make fake files for every game on that XML? Im sure I have seen this done and it would kut my workload being able to fool my programs

I have no idea how to make fake files from an xml, sorry. Not sure what you mean to be honest. Just dummy files with no extensions or something?

Hey kyoken, yeah just put finished wheels in my folder and add your name to the credits folder if you like.

Yeah just to make txt files for each game on the xml. It makes my job much easier to rename big sets like this. I can use fatmatch... dont get me wrong, not to trust it and its guesses, its just much easier to tick boxes than it is to type entire names for 2500+ games. Then all I have to do is read and look at each image for a double check

Use this application: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?22533-Yet-another-feature-rich-Hyperspin-rom-amp-media-manager

I have just matched the Gamecube wheels to my set with it.

Simply select the system then click "check". Next, go to the "Matcher" tab and you can choose your rom name, then a .png file and click "associate"

You can even filter by roms that have no media etc. then when you are done, go back to the Summary tab and move uneeded wheels to a subfolder.

Simples.

There are still hundreds of wheels missing especially if you include European or Japanese games. In this set there are only 69 finished Pal wheels for instance. According to THIS list, there were 726 European exclusives released for PS2. So you can imagine just how many wheels still need doing in total and there is nobody currently working on them.
