These are the ones that need to be fixed.  148.  So less than the 169.  I have been slowly fixing them here and there.  Zork ones have the names wrong in the official db.  Like I said a few were adds most are just renames.

My cab uses an ipac for joystick and 6 buttons per player. They are the MAME default keys. I always setup my emus to use these keys and then create the Xpadder profile to suit.

Hai Potts, i have the same config. but there are a lot of games that has a (cracker) intro with you have to skip with a key(witch is not default mame)

so...i think i have a wrong set then? strange if thats the case, because the xml with the wheel is matching...

Austin,

I have a WinVICE guide here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/2404-complete-guide-for-commodore-64-in-hyperspin-and-RL-using-winvice/

Although I do not use a keymapper or xpadder, you might take  a look at the guide.

I have it working in a bezel just fine.  What is your issue there?

Thanks,

Ron

So I now have v1 of my art setup... yaaaay!  But I do have a couple of questions for this system.  I am sure some of this stuff has been talked about before, but wiht the forum move its almost impossible to search for certain information.

     1.   What is the best way to set up controls for this system?  Did anyone master the 1-2 port issue and find any kind of work around.  If Xpadder is needed, what is the best config method?  I have seeen Gigs posts with his profile but nothing more was said that I can find.  Also since then things have moved on.  Has anyone improved or homed their settings?

     2.   Screen settings. I run a 16:9 screen.  With any others using these settings, has anyone managed to get a bezel to work?  I know the module settings give Offsets, but has anyone got this working, have some good numers to start with or even better have a template that works for them with numbers?

     3.     Also, with what Dime said ^^  is there a more complete Database or a way to make it more complete?

Other than that, this is some FANTASTIC work.  So much love here for this great ciomputer... Although I was a still a spectrum fanboy at this point ;)

Code Monkey and all around Command Line geek!

If you like what someone has said or done for you, be sure and 'Thank' them.  :good:

And if they changed your life, send them a Beer!    :beerglass:

I wish I could find the good thread we had where Brian posted the c64.ini and we discussed xpadder profiles and mappings. Just can't find it. Maybe it is gone or gigapig or someone can find it and link it

Ok I went through the 148 games my game plan is to do the following:

1. Rename stuff that needs to be renamed.

2. Remove stuff that needs to be updated I have sourced artworks for stuff to replaced

3. Delete duplicate games

4. Resubmit wheels for official to downloads section

5. Add a separate c64 addition wheels for any games that make sense to me like sex games stroke command lybia

6. Resubmit hl media to emumovies

7. Resubmit screenshots to emumovies.

8. Go back to adding in wheels.

Will take some time but it will get there. Imagine if I set all this up without the official db originally. Good grief.

The games that were removed were either extra disks, european versions of games that have a separate USA release and the official database is all about USA first.  The ones I have under my manual adds are ones that will have a separate wheel zip at some point.  The ones I renamed are just that artwork that got renamed to those names, I had a fair amount of extra disks.

Enjoy.  I already had all the existing artwork from the gold set renamed btw.

Boxes and screenshots over at emumovies updated as well /other/dougan78 On their ftp.

Dougan thanks for all the work on this system. I've grabbed all your work[emoji93].

Now that the official db has been released do I understand correctly that everything you've done has been renamed to match?

If so I see the box and screenshots are on emu as per your latest post...are the rest of your collection updated on our FTP to match where necessary?

Just trying to get up to speed [emoji469]

1. I renamed stuff that needed to be renamed.

2. I removed stuff that needed to be updated with USA releases and were not included in the Official DB

3. I removed duplicate artwork.

4. Wheels are resubmitted to downloads section (just today I added 2 more fixes)

5. I think the people who wanted the extra wheels for stuff already have them so I am not going to reupload the art for any of my own additions.

6.  Resubmitted the HL media to Emumovies FTP after fixing those. /HL Media Submissions/Dougan78

7.  Resubmitted the screenshot to Emumovies FTP after fixing those. /Other/Dougan78

8. Resubmitted the 2D Covers to Emumovies FTP after fixing those. /Other/Dougan78

9. Updated Post 1 to reflect all of these crazy new developments, official db getting released, etc

Long live C64 and enjoy.

Most everything was named properly. I just had 148 games that needed fixin. The emumovies stuff may still be uploading. It was 10 gigs. Quite happy.

You are on your own for sourcing games and naming. Official database makes that easy so not worried about that anymore.
