Hey i am having an issue when i try and start Hypersync. I downlaoded the newest version and ran the update, now i get Bootstrapper 1.0.0.0.0 Status Verifying Windows Media Player Version.. Thats all sat like this forever no matter how many reboots. Deadly Posted September 18, 2013 Share Posted September 18, 2013 XP is no longer a welcomed OS around here so you have a choice. Upgrade your OS/PC or start manually updating everything. To be honest, I think it's a wise choice for them to stop any support - after all Microsoft only gives an OS 10 years of support. To be honest, upgrading manually blows. You'll have to go folder by folder on the FTP and select not to overwrite files to save time. This way is immensely time consuming for you and is the "old school" way of updating and thus why Hypersync was created. Under HS FTP you'll find what you need under Gold Member Downloads Under EMU Movies FTP you'll find what you need under Official Seriously, if I were in your shoes I'd upgrade my OS to Windows 7 or 8 and be done with it. Able to successfully log in on both accounts and i have triple checked my paths to be correct. But the is the error i get on my log. I am looking in my folders and I don't see any boxarts except the one that came with HyperSpin. Is there a way to reset HyperSync and have it re-download everything ? I'm logged into both HyperSpin and EM. I have pointed the Hyperspin folder to my root dir "E:\Hyperspin" and the downloaded folder to "E:\Hyperspin\Media". I think I have everything setup correctly that I know of, newb just starting out. I looked through the forum and tried to find someone else having the issue but no luck. Do I have something outside of HyperSync setup incorrectly? I apologize in advance if it some obvious setting I just can see. skribe Posted October 30, 2013 Share Posted October 30, 2013 Have you gone into the media configuration menu and added the systems that you want it to sync? The systems won't be linked just because you've added them to HS or HL; you have to add them in HyperSync in order for them to sync. In the main HS window, click the button that looks like an arcade cabinet. Choose the system to want to configure on the left hand side and go through the settings. It *should* automatically link it to the media directory for HS as long as you're using standard names and directory structures. My method for new systems is as follows: 1) Select the system and tell it "Yes" when it asks if I am sure. 2) Update the database, also clicking "Yes" when prompted. 3) Click "Default All" to turn on all of the default sync options. 4) Turn on the intro video syncs. 5) Leave media configuration and sync the system. So I'll continue using the FTP with my gold member access. In my opinion, It's not fair to require a platinum account just to use the hypersync tool, which is "only" a tool that permit to download files you can download somewhere else on FTP or on emumovies. Actually, the new comers are way better and so much more productive than me, (mattedsmith, etc) at least they can do flash animations which I can't. But I'll probably do themes again soon. I've been at setting up Hyperspin for months now and after solving all the problems on my own up until now, I am truly stuck. When I try to sync, it gives me this error message : Database Error Could not find proper database for system I can't figure out how to change it or where to go to do so.
