SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 To go with my video releases to try and get as many noobs trained up from zero to pro on hyperspin. I have been releasing systems pre setup with all the art and bits the will need to be complete. I was trying to get some help on this back with my Unified Systems thread. However didnt get much feed back so I got stuck straight in anyways. Styphelus did however help me out with his pack of themes.. much thanks for that! I have then bastardized all his themes and edited them to fit Cart, Box, disc and custom wheels. I made it so people can choose between 4:3 and 16:9 ratio and edited to not only fit this ratio but also to fit nice within each of their respected themes. A complete set Now, I also took it another stage further. I also included all the Fade, bezels, Databases any anything else each system needed to be complete. And to make it even more easy, I placed each bit of art into a Directory structure that could be just dragged into anyones Hyperspin setup..... A DRAG AND DROP COMPLETE SYSTEM!!! So in theory, everyone can have a complete setup for every system by just setting up the emulators. No need to hunt, rename, resize, just pick the style that you like that suites your monitor.... then drop it in your Hyperspin and booom... all done Now I think this is what Hypersync is for... but its not, its neglected which is a real shame So there you go. If your interested in the packs just take a look at the vids. I am still updating them and working on those... even though some are released. It just a case of re-uploading the files once edited. I have done over 80 Systems so far all complete and all following a kind of theme. I do not share anything like vids or anything you can already get from Hypersync. So all users will still need all the memberships. All I am doing is knocking 2 years and a whole lot of reading, learning and pain off peoples time it takes to get a Hyperspin System up and running. If anyone has art that they would not like in these packs just let me know. But in each and every pack I give thanks to everyone involved in making them and reiterate the importance of keeping all this free. I do not want to post direct links to these packs as it may ruffle some feathers. But I have made sure that they are free from emus, bios files and all that stuff. If you would like them then give me the nod and I will happily share with you all. Maybe we can work on them together to make them even better??? Anyways... you take care... and God Speed!! futurelovecraft Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Is this on the FTP? I like the idea. I haven't posted much here (reading/downloading, getting my setup in shape) but I have been working on scraping Steam using python to gather every game's "header" jpeg (for wheels) and every games "max quality" webm video. (Unfortunately, the "Steam wheel creator" app is no longer functional) A complete Steam wheel set is already complete, and I am currently scraping these max quality trailer videos. My plan is to automate the process of scraping Steam for new content and hopefully make keeping a complete PC game wheel set closer to plausible.
warpig Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 This sounds amazing and must have been an incredible amount of work for you. Please share via the FTP, I'm sure every Hyperspin user would appreciate this. Thank you.
