Hello all, Ive been trying to add PCSX2 to my hyperspin cabinet, but am struggling with performance issues. The PC is a Dell Optimplex dual core 3.7Ghz, 4Gb RAM, 250Gb hardrive, but does not run games anywhere near playable. Ive tried following numerous PCSX2 setup guides but to no avail. The first game I tried ran OK, "LOTR, Aragons Quest", but other games such as "Baldur's gate, dark alliance", "the getaway" and "GTA" all run choppy and/or extremely slow. I guess I have a few questions, firstly, is my computers spec up to running PCSX2 at all (according to the minimum requirements section on the site it should be?!) , if not what is a good spec to…

So, I've set up WinAPE and have my GX4000 roms all ready. I can load them, no issues, but i get to a blue screen saying READY which I have no idea how to get past. I'm sure that i'm missing a config somewhere or I need to type a command but I can't find anywhere what this should be!! The RL module also gets me to the same place, so must be doing something wrong... Anyone able to give me a hand? Thanks

I have the Amiga setup using WinUAELoader and it loads most games cleanly and simply. The fly in the ointment is the exceptions. A few games don't quite run right on my system and I'd like to make modifications that apply just to them. For example: Stunt Car Racer & the TNT version have flickering graphics on the track. They need some CPU or RAM tuning (I've had them working without HS). Skidmarks - I'd like to load a uss snapshot instead of using WHDLoad with all of the mouse controls skipped. I cant seem to get clr mame pro to work properly, by following the instructions.... I don't have a dat file or know where to get it so I followed what it said from setting one up by selecting the mame.exe to create one, then it tells you to hit update and the program gives me a error and doesn't move from 0%....any help would be appreciated

[sOLVED] bulbousbeard's first response did the trick. Thanks for your help you guys!! I've looked everywhere, but I couldn't find anyone with my exact problem - so here I am! I recently setup Sega Model 2 in my HyperSpin setup (following Simply Austin's tutorial). Setup via RocketLauncher using the Sega Model 2 emulator, everything works great from HyperSpin until I exit the game. I exit by holding my Xbox 360 Guide Button down for 1.5 seconds (via JoyToKey, simulating Alt+F4) and it goes back to HyperSpin.... but my controller input doesn't work. Hi I love running my Mame games through RetroArch, love the shaders and filters and easier to set up in my opinion. I was wondering if there was a way however to disable the nag screen? Is there a script made to tell it that they have already been seen? Everything is perfect except for this one little annoyance. I've done some web searches, and have found actual MAME version recompiled with no nag. I need it in retroarch? Thanks for all your hard work guys I appreciate it.

I downloaded Mame No-nag version from here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/files/file/11087-mame-x64-0169-no-nagdirect-inputhi-score/ However, I have autosave turned on, and when I play a game for the first time, it gives me the nag "Error: Failed to Open File for Load Operation" Is there any way to disable this message? I don't mind the one telling me a save state is loaded, but this particular one is quite jarring - especially if I have friends over! Thanks

Ive been working on my hypserspin build for a couple of weeks now ( after ditching gamex ). Ive got the latest set of 0.169 roms and artwork. Ive downloaded mamuifx 0.169 from the downloads page, but noticed it says nothing about hiscore. Is there likely to be a version with this, or is there a way I can add the hiscore.dat ? Very wet behind the ears with confirguring mame so any help appreciated. Gary

Hi this is my first post, for a couple of months now i have been creating my HyperSpin setup. There is one emulator that keeps bugging me. This is Dolphin. I want to use it for gamecube emulation, my problem is: When i choose a game from within hyperspin the screen turns black (as it should) then Windows error comes up from: dolphin.exe is not responding. When i run the same game from the emulator instead of using Hyperspin then the game runs perfectly. I tried Dolphin 3.5 and 4.0 both of them have the same problem. I know years ago it seemed like a pain in the ass getting certain mame roms to work with mame.... and I remember using MAME on my soft modded Wii.... it was more than a pain to find the right rom sets that worked. Ok, so I don't have a 169 SET as of yet and haven't really been looking too hard (I'll get one sooner or later) for the time being I do have a 161 SET and I have been using it with MAME 169 Emulator and so far the games I've tried all seem to work fine so my question is how much has changed in the actual ROM SETS from 161 to 169?

So i finally am playing my hyper spin and I must say it looks great! Only issue I have at the moment is the cheat codes in Retroarch are not loading.. I hit f1 load them up but they do not work... any idea? I have heard it depends on the core? I am using BNES... anyone help? I gave heard that retro arch cheat system is broke, is there a way to load cheats another way (without leaving HS or using a mouse to go into settings) I wanted my system to be seamless,,,, and not have to brose with a mouse etc, i am so frustrated with this right now, almost a year to set it all up and now this.... Can I have Game genie load up like on the original consoles? then load a game? …

hello, i have a problem with some of the namco games running at 99% frame rate (ie pac land ,metro cross). i am using the latest mameuifx 169. i am trying to run hlsl ,which i think is the problem. i used my on board graphics card to run glsl before because of this problem. i have just brought a gtx 750ti and done a fresh install of mame and would like to use hlsl if possible. thanks my pc specs should be powerful enough i7 3770k 16 gb ram asus sabertooth gtx750 ti

Is anyone running Sega CD with Fusion? I can run the games fine outside of RL but in RL.. the emulator pops up with .crm not a valid file name or something. my files are in .iso, .bin, .cue Gonna play around with it.... I can run the fine in RL with Gens... but Fusion seems to look much better

My understanding is, the original code for Monaco GP was done through some type of chipset back in the day — so it was not capable of emulation in MAME — but now that it has been re-programmed/re-created by the genius known as "gee cab" (as brought up over in this thread and referenced on this site), why can't it finally be ported to run in MAME? I played it (the gee cab PC version) and it's really very cool! Be nice to have this in MAME. Is there even a chance?

This is a weird problem I've never encountered before. Since upgrading to oldhag270's no nag .168, MAME will only accept inputs from my primary, connected keyboard. Xpadder inputs do not register. Is there a configuration file I can edit to enable inputs from any connected device? Thanks.

I've updated the WHDLoad pack of games and demos to version 2.5 for use with emulators or real amigas here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=68704 I've previously made a rom pack out of the 2.3 package for use with Hyperspin/RocketLauncher (WinUAE) so I figured I'd update that pack with a new database as well. These games have been publicly available for quite some time over at the English Amiga Board and the policy there has always been to remove things when the copyright holder complains, so its pretty safe to grab.
