sandman7793 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Anyone have a compiled version of the 7800 theme ? Can't seem to compile the psd. Thanks He created one for 7800. Also what do you mean by compile the psd, can you explain? A boy stuck in a mans body
jaZz_KCS Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 I am very happy to see that the thread i stumbled upon a few months back is still there and also living inside. Just as I was about to rant in other theme threads with dead links about ppl who might still have the files, I stumble upon this old beauty that I watched eagerly back then and though was still semi-dead. Not to mention that now I have so more time for art workx at the moment so I might just jum in and help out myself. Thing is, are those psd files I found on the FTP also somehow importable to GIMP? - as thats actually my weapon of choice when it comes to art workx. Other than that... I would hereby declare my utmost joy and respect to Styphelus for continuing this package. Eagerly awaiting more updates and now off to try out the already existing ones... jaZz_KCS
sandman7793 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Actually you could open psd then switch all files to png then import. But hypertheme is set up for psd. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk A boy stuck in a mans body
jaZz_KCS Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Ok, sorry , but I am not new to HyperSpin - Hypertheme on the other hand I have never used. Does HyperTheme make work with psd files, I reckoned it was some kind of PhotoShap export file for a whole project or smth. So I could open them up in Hypertheme - change the format? Produce other files, get them together again?
THK Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 To open a .psd in HT, the layers have to be named correctly: (this is the layer order, they don't have to be exactly like that order in the .psd) Artwork4 Artwork3 Artwork2 Video Artwork1 Background (the bg needs to be exactly 1024x768 px or it'll show correctly in HT but gets screwy in HS) ..........................back with a vengeance........................
sandman7793 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Also there's a tutorial on the home page for hypertheme, which will get you started, will also show you the naming convention. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk A boy stuck in a mans body
marcade Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Are all of the displayed themes on the first page available ? There are only a fraction of those themes on the ftp, anyone care to share the FULL set, please ?
jaZz_KCS Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 There is no full set atm. The original author of this project vanished, and the person taking over did not complete it yet. The themes available in gibbawho's and Styphelus' uploads folder are all that is available atm. There are *.psd files in gibbawho's upload folder which you can use for templates... There are 27 themes done in Styphelus' upload folder... BTW: Do I have to use PhotoShit in order to rename the layers in the psd files in order to be able to use them in HyperTheme, or can they somehow be opened with GIMP too? It seems that the layers are not named correctly in the psd's at the moment since nothing happens when you import them to HyperTheme.
jaZz_KCS Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 To open a .psd in HT, the layers have to be named correctly:(this is the layer order, they don't have to be exactly like that order in the .psd) Artwork4 Artwork3 Artwork2 Video Artwork1 Background (the bg needs to be exactly 1024x768 px or it'll show correctly in HT but gets screwy in HS) So I have to make sure that the layers in the psd files have that name, but they dont have to have the exact order?
THK Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 So I have to make sure that the layers in the psd files have that name, but they dont have to have the exact order? Yes, HT will place them in the correct order. I tend to make a copy of the theme .psd and rename the layers in the copy and remove all the left over layers. The layers will in exactly the right place, so I lock them before adding the video and adding the animations. Take note that the vid border will only show up once you add a video. Always set force aspect ratio to both for borders made in photoshop. (ones made in HT will adjust to the vid size, unlike .png borders) ..........................back with a vengeance........................
Styphelus Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Sorry for the absence. I've been working on these and all I can say is that Christmas will be here soon. Just be patient. Just 2 more weeks.

jaZz_KCS Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Sorry for the absence. I've been working on these and all I can say is that Christmas will be here soon. Just be patient. Just 2 more weeks. I will just make two or three themes for the time being - planned to do more but since I read this, I am very excited.
Styphelus Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 No point really! I have them all pretty much done except for some of the less known handhelds - that includes main menu and system themes as well as artwork resized properly. I can start uploading them tonight if you are in that much of a hurry. They are all good and working - some I've updated the background and tweaked them a bit. I took my time because I was uploading some in a hurry and they weren't so good. These are good and final. Are you particularly interested in some specific themes? It's easier for me to upload them than for you to create them.
relic Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 thanks sty these will sure make a perfect christmas present 100%

Styphelus Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Ok...check my folder on the FTP There are currently 29 themes. Some say "untested" because I still haven't set that system on my arcade but they are fully working. I've updated the ones I had done previously so please update them all on your end. Artwork - I was planning on uploading all the re-sized artwork but someone told me that the people who created all the original artwork might not like that, so I just included a sample for sizing purposes...sorry! All artwork was found either on the FTP here or at the Emumovies main download section. MAME is not up yet - I was leaving it for last but it will be up in the next few days - promise! There will be more themes soon. There are still 14 or 15 themes left to do (mostly handhelds) and I plan to add some additional ones as well. Going away for Christmas (last minute planning from the wife) but I'm taking my laptop and will be creating more themes. If anyone wants to go ahead and create the remaining ones, by all means go ahead. Have fun...
dragon57 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Looks like you uploaded to the old ftp, right? I thought the new ftp should be the target for new files. Am I confused? Regardless, many thanks for all your work!

Will most likely become my new stardar becasue they are that awesome. And kudos for planning upon completing it with MAME and the uncommon handhelds also in the workx. Looks like you uploaded to the old ftp, right? I thought the new ftp should be the target for new files. Am I confused? Regardless, many thanks for all your work! I will check the FTP later. I thought the old FTP Server was down now?
