Styphelus Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 @ Jazz_KCS That is why I included a file with sample art for each theme so you can resize everything properly to the same size of the artwork I included. Unfortunately the artwork from hypersync does not follow one consistent size. Your artwork will have to match my samples in size to look proper. That's what the theme was designed to do. Unlike the movies, Hypertheme does not let you set specific sizes for art, so they have to be re-sized separately. Use fotosizer (fotosizer dot com) to batch resize the artwork for each individual theme.
Styphelus Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Do you guys want me to upload the re-sized artwork for each theme? It will work perfectly with the themes but I don't want anyone complaining that I've uploaded someone else's work to my FTP folder. However, please note that I haven't setup every single system on my end, so the artwork may not match the latest hyper lists exactly in some cases (Wii, Wii-U, PlayStation and all the latest systems). You will have to do a little bit of work as well for those systems. If everyone is ok with that, I'll start uploading the artwork.
AshuraX Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Good job styphelus! Playstation and the other themes are good for me! (Just wii,wii U not tested) Does anyone have Catridge art for master system, released by donnei (?) in styphelus artwork zip archive? epetti Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 @epettiIf you would like to see the wheel at all times, just modify the Mame main menu theme and change the artwork layers so that Artwork3 is available. That will give you a static arcade cabinet and just change the movie and marquee instead of one that fades out and in when you pick a game. The marquees are plenty good enough for my purposes. Not that familiar with theme editing, though. What exactly do you mean by making Artwork3 available? I don't want it to fade out like it's currently doing. I opened up the theme.xml and Artwork3 is listed there. Is there a specific tag in there I need to change?
Styphelus Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 @epetti I created a MAME System Theme just for you that doesn't fade. It's in the MAME folder called "Mame (System Alternate No Fade)". This one is static and just cycles through the movies and marquees. Had to move it to the side so you can see the wheel. Otherwise it blocks it and you can't select your games. Let me know if that's what you were looking for.
Styphelus Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 I started uploading Re-sized artwork. Just extract them to the proper folder. it will take a while to upload everything so be patient (plus I need to do Christmas shopping so don't expect updates everyday) Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, Atari Lynx, Atari Jaguar, Mattel Intellivision, Turbografx-16, Nintendo NES, Nintendo 64, Sega Master System, Sega 32X and Sega CD are up and ready to download....more will follow.
Iggy Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Keep up the good work Styphelus! Your work is very much appreciated!!! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Sega Saturn Japanese Wheel Project: COMPLETE!! If you have FTP access, find my name and grab the set now!!!
Polemicist Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Don't rush dude. Family comes first. Hobbies are way down the list.
jaZz_KCS Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Awesome, every day I check Styphelus' FTP Upload folder theres something new. He's producing themes faster than I can implement systems! HELP!
Styphelus Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Re-sized artwork for Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo Gameboy and Sega Dreamcast are up. They are not complete but at least it's something. Extract to the proper folder and you are good to go. Re-sized GameGear, Genesis, SNES and Neo-Geo to go up tonight. Only doing this because apparently re-sizing artwork seems to be a hard task for some. I will do the ColecoVision Theme and than take a break for Christmas.

BTW, I haven't looked at the FTP since your very recent updates. Are you upadting the Set 3 folder? Or a new folder? Just want to make sure that when I finally get the time to continue I would find the most uptodate stuff
Styphelus Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Update everything - sorry about that. There is only one folder now with the final version.
gigapig Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Tell tiny Tim you won't be home this Chtistmas. Taking a break? Is Hyperspin closing over Christmas? Nobody leaves until it's finished, Bob Cratchit. Enjoy your break Sir you've earned it. And a very merry Christmas to you and yours.
potts43 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Update everything - sorry about that. There is only one folder now with the final version. Thanks for the tip. I had already downloaded set 1 & 2 but then your new folder confused me. Should I delete the folders set 1 and 2 and download the new lot?

Should I delete the folders set 1 and 2 and download the new lot? If you only want to use the system themes and main menu themes then go ahead and download them individually from the new unified folder. If you want, you can also download the psd files for HyperTheme and Artwork files to use with it if you want to edit them, but be advised, the psd files and artwork zips are huge. You dont need them if you just want to set up HS with the themes and not edit them.

I need to look at what's there now

Styphelus Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 New Uploads: Game Boy Carts (Resized) as well as SNES and Genesis Artwork (Resized) to work with the system themes. Again, not totally complete but it's a good start. Have fun!
