I've been using Hyperspin for many years and love it. I'm pretty decent at theme tweaking and creation but I surely don't know everything. I would like to display game cartridges and boxes with a slight tilt. In Hypertheme, they look great. I see the R values in Hypertheme and see them in the XML. However, when they are displayed in the theme, they are just upright completely. What am I missing?

Cheer up people! While you wait for the Uploads section to return, here is another obscure system to add: Required: MAME 0.258 or newer Watara TV-Link is not an independent system but an adapter for the Supervison to connect to a television. It's a good idea in theory and (possibly?) beat the Nintendo Super Gameboy to market but it doesn't really "enhance" the Supervision gaming experience. Attempted enhancements include: removing LCD ghosting, increasing the resolution and size of the screen and adding color. That all sounds great but the "color" only being shades of blue makes the games very hard to see. Emulation of the Supervision has already correcte…

This is my best attempt to gather all my full system uploads and instructional posts into one thread. There have been several discussions within upload posts, but this thread might be a better (more visible) way to discuss or ask questions about this project. I have also included other related member uploads. Thank you for all the support, assistance, and contributions! I will be testing every update to MAME core and listing compatibility the best I can. MAME SOFTWARE LIST SYSTEM MAME VER …

LG DIGITALezLG (MESEN Core) A bundle of NES games released in some models of LG Electronics TVs around 2008. Most games are actually bootleg versions of popular NES games, with lots of aesthetic changes (and gameplay changes in some cases). There is an exclusive game: Quick Brain. Games are played with the TV Remote and the controls seem a bit sluggish but to be fair, I'm sure it was on the original remote. I've split up the multigame using duplicate roms and autoload save states. The select button has been disabled on each individual game so the main menu can't be accessed but the full compilation version is still accessible for the "authentic" experience…

In HS if you try to use a fullscreen animated swf background inside a theme it will tends to stop. Here's a workaround to have an endless looping .swf background inside a theme without continously reloading it. It will scroll even when you are moving the wheel. Basically Background.swf loads C:/HyperSpin_1.5.1/dark13/Shared Components/BackgroundLoop.swf , here's the code. You can change the path of the file inside the .fla and create a new file that reads a different path. No animated .swf included, just create a 1024*768 animated background and test it. Use Background.swf inside a theme. var bk_request:URLRequest = new URLRequest('C:/HyperSpin_1.5.1/dark13/Shared…

Your Sega SC-3000 setup is wrong! Well, technically its wrong, but I am probably to blame. Long ago (8 or 9 years?) when I was a young HyperSpinner, I attempted to make a Sega SC-3000 setup for the community. Unfortunately, the only games I could find were Sega SG-1000 carts that were also listed as SC-3000 compatible on the box. The inclusion of two Sega BASIC carts and Sega Music Editor (which are not games) was the only thing that set it apart from the SG-1000. I regret it because: 1. It does not represent any game exclusive to the SC-3000. 2. Its completely redundant if you have the SG-1000. 3. It has become widely accepted as offical and is on mo…

Upload Here Yes, this is a clone of the SG-1000 released in Japan and Taiwan but I'm focusing on the Aaronix version of the SG-1000 II which had a different game library. The Taiwan region SG-1000 games released for the Aaronix SG-1000 II have many (unoffical?) MSX ports unique to that region. Other games are based off different versions the roms on the Japan region releases. So there are at least subtle differences in most of the Taiwan region games. Aaronix also released an 8kb Ram Adapter for MSX ports requiring 9k of RAM. Game that require 8kb adapter: Yingzi Chuanshuo (Legend of Kage) Yǔzhòu zhànshì (Star Soldier) Tanke Dazha…

So I got Famicom Family BASIC cassettes to launch directly to game using RetroArch MAME core. Download Setup I cant simply share a setup that is completely pre-configured so I will attempt to explain the process. Whats needed: Run either Famicom or Famicom Twin System with Famicom keyboard enabled. A Famicom BASIC Cart must be loaded and Cassettes loaded and played with Tape Control Feature Ini file must be created with auto/save load states enabled. Auto load states must be made “read only” Lets begin: Using the files from my “Famicom Family BASIC” upload add the system as you normal…

I started a simple RCA Studio II setup and discovered two other consoles that are not (technically) clones and have exclusive games. RCA Studio II (1977 USA): Original black and white console with additional homebrew games Download Soundic Victory (1978 Australia): More powerful Studio III model 2-Color re-releases of some Studio II games with two exclusive 4-Color games and a multi-cart. Download Toshiba Visicom (1978 Japan): Even more powerful that Studio III 4-Color re-releases of Studio II games with three exclusive 4-Color games. Download All carts boot to a blank screen with no o…

Hello, I need help to understand where should I configure the display of themes. The themes of the systems are systematically displayed in 4:3 even if I download the 16:9 version. I see a lot of videos on youtube with themes in 16:9. It's nothing serious but all my boxes or carts are displayed very big and instead of having to resize everything I would like to know how to make sure to display the themes in 16:9. FYI I'm on screen with a resolution of 3840/2160. Thank you

I just finished making Themes/Setups for most of the Fujitsu FM series of PCs/Console. I wanted to collect it all in one post for future reference GUIDE FOR SETTING UP FILES IN RETROARCH(MAME): I ran into some issues I couldn't solve and I wonder if they are limitations of MAME or if anyone could offer a solution. 1. I could not assign Port Devices (Machine Configuration) per game. For example: Marty is setup with 2 button joysticks in Joystick port 1 and 2. Any game requiring a mouse in port 2 had to be placed in the Towns UX setup. Any game that required an uncommon or unique device port configuration was not included. 2. I could on…
