my system is a Nvidia shield tv pro v1.3 with 2 Nvidia wireless controllers (also attempted to used wired with USB cable to achieve but no success) As of retroarch nightly 7-11-2015, I unable to bind more than 1 controller; autoconfig does detect both controllers as "Nvidia Corporation Nvidia Controller v1.03"; the first controller as port #0 and the second controller as port #1 but second controller function as the same as player 1 instead of natively as player 2. I had also attempt to rebind the buttons for each player in the input setting, no dice there either. If I do look to see different devices are listed to bind, only one "Nvidia controller" and CAREFUL if you m…

Right folks, I'm getting into this Hyperspin thing now that I've got RetroArch running nicely on the Shield TV. I've tried following the numerous guides about the Android setup but what I want to do is start from a decent base and the strip out the crap and go from there. I've copied the full Hyperspin folder to the Shield and that got the interface up and running after some dossing I've found a base set of settings ini's for Android but anyone know what junk I can strip out of the Hyperspin folder if it doesn't apply to Android? I know obviously the EXE's and DLL's are no use but what else can I delete that isn't being used? Any help would be grand!

Like the title suggests, there are two new fba cores in retroarch: fbalpha2012_libretro_android.so and fbalpha_libretro_android.so. Anybody got the chance to try them? I tried a couple of neo geo cd games but unfortunately they crash

Hello everyone, first time here on the forums and I would like to say everyone has done an awesome job in creating hyperspin and the tutorials on how to configure it. Thanks to you guys I am able to enjoy retro gaming on my shield TV. So this weekend I was able to install and configure hyperspin and retroarch. I was able to successfully get the NES, SNES, and N64 in working order with the box art everything. I thought I'd do some fine tunning and remap the controller scheme. SNES works great didn't Ned to do anything to it, but didn't like the placement of A and B for both the NES and N64. I was able to remap the controller for NES, but when I hit the shield button to re…

Am I right in thinking that I can set up the whole look of hyperspin on my Windows tablet then once happy with it, copy the hyper folder with the setup to where I want it for access from my shield? I know I may need to configure an ini file here and there but is that the best practice for setting up on android?

Hello everyone, have come across an issue and would like some help: i have my hyperspin setup on an external drive. My shield tv is the 16gb one so i thought i could use the extra storage option and formatted a 128gb flash drive as adoptive internal storage. Now every time i run my hyperspin setup through my external drive, i also have plugged in the flash drive. If i remove the external drive, the shield tv gives me a message that the flash drive is not connected which i find very strange since the flash drive is still plugged in. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

I was following along with the guide at http://emulationguide.com/retroarch-guides-shield-tv/retroarch-configuration and trying to set up custom directory locations. I changed asset, autoconf, and config to something under /sdcard/ and then update assets, but then the controller stops working. I have done this before, maybe with 1.3.4 (but this was only a few days ago, idk if I updated to 1.3.6 in the meantime without knowing) successfully. So here's my first set of questions: - I have a keyboard hooked up but can't figure out how to save myself from this situation other than deleting the retroarch.cfg file and starting over. Is there an in-menu way to correct…

This is a weird glitch I didn't have originally.. and now I do, so something tells me I may have changed a setting I shouldn't.. Issue IF Retroarch app is loaded then going into Hyperspin, and try to run a game, all it does is load the Retroarch app. IF Retroarch app isn't loaded then going in Hyperspin, it plays the game HOWEVER it didn't remember any of the saved settings I set (overlay off etc..) You guys make any sense of this? It obviously isn't loading the settings file prior to the game. But it's real odd that if the app is running it won't even boot a game... Thanks

First post! I purchased a Shield TV a couple of weeks ago and have successfully loaded Retroarc (nightly build, not off the Play Store) and have it running ROMs off a microSD card. I'm just learning Retroarc, but have read quite a few tutorials and have already figured out how to switch the A and B buttons (a necessity for me). Just starting to toy around with shaders and am just blown away with how well Zelda can look on a 55" LCD screen with the right scalers. Just a few issues I haven't been able to solve: * I've installed Hyperspin fom the Play Store, as well as copying over Hyperspin from my PC to the root of my microSD card. In doing so, I've also updated m…

I'm attempting to map my Nvidia Shield TV controller in Retroarch. I've copied my Retroarc.cfg file to an SDcard and have been editing it on the computer with Notepad++, but have still having some problems: * Is there any way to clear a bind from within RGUI on the Shield TV? Right now, I have to remove binds via the PC by editing the Autoconfig.cfg. Would be so much easier if there was a method to do this from within the Shield. * I'd like to configure my controller identical to this guide, but... * I can't find a method to map the Nvidia button to RGUI. The Nvidia button doesn't seem to work inside Retroarch (doesn't register a bind). * I'm also having p…

Hi, Brand new to this, so forgive me if this is just a case of me being dumb. So I've tried to follow the setup process on the forum, thought I'd done it right - did the whole process step by step. So I reboot the Nvidia Shield TV, click on the Hyperspin logo - and all I get is a "Unfortunately, Hyperspin has stopped" message. I can't even open the app. I've tried then re-installing both Hyperspin and Retroarch but still not working. Anyone got any ideas, completely stuck :/ Thanks

Hello, I recently downloaded Mame4Droid reloaded 1.1 on my phone in order to play Bubble Symphony (Bubble Bobble II). However, it is one of those roms where a chd file is required, and an error telling me that it is missing rom or chd files shows up whenever I try to run it. So, I also tried the Bubble Memories game, and that one seemed to run just fine. I have attached snapshots of the files included in each of the game's zip folders. (left- bubble symphony, right bubble memories). I am missing the .rom files and an nv file in Bubble Symphony. I have looked everywhere for the chd, but cannot seem to find it. I have also wondered if Bubble Symphony is a …

Hi guys, hoping someone might be able to offer a clue how to fix this problem - so I can set up RetroArch no problem on its own, I've configured my gamepad, set a different bezel for each core, set up custom viewport sizes for each bezel etc., all works perfectly, however if I start a game in Hyperspin then bring up the Retroarch settings and configure everything the same way it reverts to default settings as soon as I exit Retroarch. I can't see why it doesn't work, I've turned per-core settings on, I've set it to save settings on exit etc., but it goes back to default settings every time I exit. Thanks for any ideas.
