Hi all, I apologize if there is already a tutorial on setting up DFend to launch Dos games in Hyperspin already but I haven't discovered one yet...but anyway, I'm having some complications with DFend, It runs great outside of HS and RL but when I set it up in HS/RL and point it to the VirtualHD folder in DFend using the DFend module, I can get it to launch the DFend frontend but that's about all, I get an error that tells me "There is no game-record with the name C:\Hyperspin\Emulators\Microsfot MS-DOS\VirtualHD\bowl.exe. Another question I have is if I need an XML list to run the games out of DFend? If anyone has DFend working in HS/Rl and would be kind enough…

I have not played with mame in a year. Played with it as in set it up. I recently setup updated to .162 and I like it better than my older .153. I had a question about bezels. When I run mame and run a game manually though the mameuifx gui for ghost and goblins. It puts the bezel on and makes the video smaller. When I run in HS the video take up the full screen. Which I am not opposed to and looks fine by my standards however I got to thinking maybe there is a way to enjoy the maximum video size and have the bezel? My resolution is 1024x768. Not sure if that matters. My other observation is for vertical games with a bezel like Satan's Hollow the bezel is off …

Authors Note: Seems many people have moved passed the basics, and the questions are becoming more complex. So I'll leave the essentials below, and start putting the common questions up here. I have setup both guns As Device 1 and Device2 in the software setup. Mame sees them as the same controller Dual light guns is on Multimice is on Using mame64 from jumpstile's folder

Giga bro, Just finished setting up Taito X but still few games not loading example Daemon Bride does not load at all even after renaming the DB1.exe and placing the loader into the folder, no reaction at all. KOFMIR load but end up game.exe stop working than close screen. Power Instinct the commemoration halt at black screen Half Life 2 same screen halt at black screen. Please help me million thanks

Hi guys, It's horrible when you play mach3 or cobra or astronaut belt and you input are swapped: Up is down and down is up. I edit input per each game with daphneloader, few ones I want up/down invert I change controls. Out HS everything right but when I launch games via HL 3 daphne use default controls input.... Any idea?

I'm still quite new to emulators, but have been progressing my HS build and now realise I've always installed MAME from scratch in the past (due to inactivity) and don't know how to "update" my existing install. I'm currently running 0.161 x64 (on WIndows 8.1) and use RocketLauncher, RLUI and HyperSpin. Is it as simple as downloading the 0.162 x64 binary and only overwriting the "mame64.exe" file (and leaving the rest of my existing install unchanged?) I understand my roms would need to be updated for closer matching, etc. Is there also any reason I should hold off updating from a HyperSpin view? (eg. I know the XML is based on 0.161... will the RL AHK still work okay…

figured out how to do this, module for biz hawk doesn't have a way to so I thought id share this here in the config.ini in your bizhawk folder on line 994 there is an option to start fullscreen, just change from false to true seems simple enough but it took me a while to find so hopefully this can help some poeple im using bizhawk 1.9.1 by the way, not sure if this will work the same for other versions

Ok, after having close to 7 emulators properly set, my hard drive crashed and lost everything. Before I was using hyperlaunch and hyperspin, but now with RocketLauncher I have found problems with every emulator to set. I have no money to do hypersync, so this is all manual work. I am having problems closing out fusion when pressing esc key. Even when I go to RocketLauncher and change the exit key, it does not change. I'm tired and would like to know how can I exit fusion properly from hyperspin. HELP PLEASE!!!

These Jezze changes make a huge improvement to how it looks. However does anyone know what ShadowMask settings should be now and which shadowmask is best to use? I used crt_shadow_mask.png before, but now it makes it super massive on the screen.

I have GLSL shaders working perfectly for all my MESS systems using 0.160 and 0.161, except for Mega Duck. It doesn't seem to load them, no matter what the command line says. Does anyone have GLSL working with Mega Duck?

Hey Guys I am using Hyperspin 1.3.3 with RL. I finally got Sammy Atomiswave loading up games but it will not exit the emulator. I went into RL general settings/controls and set a new key to exit with hold for 3 seconds, but it still not works? I am not sure the issue anyone have a tutorial? On a side note yesterday was an awesome day, I got all the arcade systems with mame working, I now have 41 systems! I need to tweak some thing but it is coming along. Thanks Jim

Hi, new to this forum. I stumbled across Hyperspin on youtube by chance when I was searching for an emulator front end to add to my steam box. Love the look and functionality and really want to use it. I've been playing around with Hyperspin for a few days but so far have only been able to get the NES emulation working. Following youtube guides leads me to this forum where I should be able to download AHK file's and such but there is almost none on this site at all. The videos show tons of them for download. It doesn't seem like I can get these files anywhere else either. I've been searching Google all week. Is there a mirror or something where I can get these fil…

Trying to set up my Aimtrak lightgun in SNES9X. Superscope 6 works fine inder the input 'use superscope' However in Terminator 2: Arcade, I have to use the 'SNES mouse' and I get crosshair movement but it's extremely jumpy/jumps around the screen and is unplayable. I tried some of the other settings under the 'Input' tab but get no movement. I checked the .cfg file for SNES9X and didn't even see an entry for the SNES mouse. ***hmm just tried using the superscope setting and now it works but the primary & secondary fire is reverese (secondary fire is trigger, primary fire is left side button).... Hi Guys, I've been using Jumpstile's standard MAME builds for a while now. They're fantastic! I've seen MAMEUIFX mentioned more and more lately and I'm curious... For HyperSpin, where we are already using a UI/Frontend, what are the benefits of using MAMEUIFX vs standard MAME? Thanks!

Hello, I've got a problem configuring my THT 2P controller in Future Pinball. I've set up my controllers in XPadder and my mappings work fine (I've checked in notepad) But when I start FP, I can't play with my controller. As example, I've mapped the 2nd controller down with Enter key (pull plunger), but it does nothing in FP. Any idea ? Thanks

Is there a guide out there somewhere explaining how to use the MESS core in RetroArch? I haven't had much success with it, but I'd love to get it working. I've been putting the MESS bios files in a folder called "system" on the RetroArch root, but I only get a pixelated screen when booting a game. Thanks in advance.

Hello everybody I followed "GIga Guide's" instructions on youtube to set up my PC wheel. I added one game and can launch it fine through the PC Launcher module Settings. When I audit the games in HyperlaunchHQ it doesn't show up, but I can run them as well. I set "Skip CHeck" to "Rom and Emu" and played around with the "PC Game" Setting in HyperHQ. Also I added PC Launcher in the tab "Emulators" in HyperLaunchHQ with lnk as extension and a romdir with the shortcut to the game, not just using the global PC Launcher profile like in the video. My audit still doesn't find them though. As a last resort I added the game under "alternate Emulators" but they still didn't show…

Hello guys, Dolphin team just released a new video: Description: The first comment is interesting: Knowing that you can inject roms into a WAD file and open it with Dolphin emulator, it's a good alternative for playing retro games that dont work properly with other emulators!
