So my tax return has come in and now gone out in the form of the i7 4770K, the overpriced (but awesome) Gigabyte Sniper 5 and Corsair H100i cooler and the first thing I fired up was Dolphin, an older build, and Mario Kart DD at stock settings, 5760x1080, Max internal res and 4xMSAA and it preforms flawlessly. I'm blown away by it because I came from a 1st Gen i5 750, It may not be worth upgrading though if you have Sandy bridge, and from the reviews not enough of a jump if you have an Ivy i7. Over at the dolphin forums however, there is talk that because of the AVX2 instructions, it's a real boon to emulation, and for the very limited testing I did after finishing the b…

I've just seen it and it's awesome I love the idea of the neural handshake (2 pilots, controlling a fecking giant mech is brilliant) despite the crappy review but "professionals" it's not meant to be taken seriously and it's actually got a hell of a lot of back story which I actually understood Main complaint (for me is none really This is a guilty pleasure)

Dunno if this has been discussed already, but if you haven't seen it. SEE IT! Indie Game: The Movie available on: -Official site: http://buy.indiegamethemovie.com/ -Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/207080/ Docu movie about the last months leading up to the release of SuperMeatBoy (my all time fav indie game). Also featuring Fez & Braid. I'm only halfway through at this point, but just thought I had to share. It got so excited I had to play some SMB again and buy a SMB & Dr Fetus T-shirt finally! (last time I tried to order they weren't shipping to the Netherlands, but to my surprise they do now!) Anyway, I'll say it again: Watch this gem!

I'm just wondering if it's possible to force PC games to run at a lower resolution than they natively support. The two games I need to do this on are Cave Story and Guxt. They are the only native PC games on my system, and I would very much like if I could make it so that they ran at 288 by 240, in order to get them to work on my arcade monitor. Many thanks!

Following the integration of HyperLaunch in 3DArcade, though it's not necessarily related, I made a program that will convert an existing HyperSpin main menu wheel into a 3DArcade Selection Set entry. With it you can, but are not limited to: - Have a standalone 3DArcade setup that uses the exact same structure/roms/medias as the existing HS setup. - Integrate 3DArcade as a HS wheel entry and enjoy the 3D part of it, with the above advantages. Here's a video of the process: (the available/current version has a GUI, an "infinite" progress bar and options to select default arcades and skins.) - "@\Databases\Main Menu\Main Menu.xml" is converted to a "HyperSp…

It's almost that time. Unfortunately I had to miss the last year (or two) of California Extreme, but I'm really going to go out of my way to make sure I can go this year. Anyone else plan on being there? http://www.caextreme.org/ The event is going to be on July 13-14 in Santa Clara, CA.

Charity Drive For My Kiddo's Puppy Recently our baby had to have massive surgery and she is still in the vet, she lost all of her puppies during the accident. She had a partial miscarriage and is in need of even more surgery. I am not begging for help, but if anybody could help out with this I would be forever in their debt, as I simply cannot afford the vet bill, and my only other option is to have Tiny put down, and I really don't want to do that - I am between such a rock and a hard place. I'm not sure how I can break it to my kids after loosing so much already (those of you whom know me, know what I'm talking about); I just don't know how they will cope with thi…

I posted a similar topic for HyperSpin in the unRAID forums. I figured I would do the same here. I'm going to go out on a limb that most of the HyperSpin users also like using other specialized software (i.e. media centers, firewalls, etc.). For anyone who is unaware, unRAID is "an embedded Network Attached Storage server Operating System specifically designed for digital media storage". unRAID is a solid NAS platform that is distinctly differnent that tradition RAID solutions in the fact that you can mix/match different sized drives. Add the fact that it has fantastic community that support it (much like HyperSpin) makes it aces. If you need a NAS solution, give …

I know it's not my place to post this but have you seen the new EmuMovies.com layout? It is amazing in my opinion, much smoother to read and as if EmuMovies could get any cleaner Circo found a way to do it! I know that Circo is working hard on the interface over there, and it really shows. Let's head on over to EmuMovies.com and show our support to our fellow brother in arms. On the topic of support, did you know that Platinum members get 25% off at checkout for an EmuMovies.com membership? So, if you have been putting off upgrading or signing up your EmuMovies.com membership than now is the perfect time. With the release of HyperSync 3.5 having an active EmuMovies.…

I cant give advice or support with HS as im still learning myself and im crap with designing themes and whatnot but I would still like to help this great community with what I can. Im a serving police officer in the UK so if anyone has any police/crime related questions or queries feel free to ask. Anything about procedure or process or even the odd cheeky questions about tickets. Hypothetical or real and no subject is off limits.

This looks similar and possibly competing with Ouya: http://www.gamepop.tv/ It is basically the BlueStacks emu, but in a box and for your TV. When an emulator creates a console, it has me wondering if this is the new fad?

HyperSpin Is Dead (The Musical) By: Rain Warning: This may make your ears bleed! I have been thinking back on the dozens of posts that I have seen stating that HyperSpin is either dead or dying, so that got me to wanting to pay my respects to such a great frontend that has been here for years for me. Such a great community, honest, hard workin' folk but I guess it's time to move on and pay my respects to an old friend. Goodbye HyperSpin, I hardly knew ye'! A beer for all the homies who we lost along the way! The Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IogrCv_d-o Lyrics He said I'll program 'till I die, They told him you'll forget in time, As the forums s…
