Taito Type X and Hyperlaunch 3.0

I just wanted to get clarification that Taito Type X is working fine in the New RocketLauncher...

In the PC Launcher.ini...I am pointing the script to the bat files

eg:

[super Street Fighter IV]

Application=C:\Hyperspin\Games\Taito Type X\Super Street Fighter IV\Super Street Fighter IV.bat

AppWaitExe=game.exe

I seem to be getting an issue where the game starts fine but after 20 seconds closes and the Hyperlaunch "now loading page appears"

Any help appreciated

well it may not be the answer for some but it works for me, just tested all the taito type x games and none had issues so guess its ok, works everytime for me.

I use eventghost for LOTS its really really handy

I use similar method when launching Half Life Survivor 2.0 to maximize the game infront of that annoying console etc

well it may not be the answer for some but it works for me, just tested all the taito type x games and none had issues so guess its ok, works everytime for me.

Get a program called EventGhost. Create a macro and call it anything you would like. Create an event and call it Task.Deactivated.game , for some reason Hyperlaunch wasn't closing for me on raiden iv etc when I closed so now create a batch file and just put taskkill /f /im HyperLaunch.exe , next in same macro goto add action, then system and start an application and choose batch file and tick wait till application is finished. Now again click add action, window and find a window (run hyperspin in background) and choose Hyperspin.exe and finally add action again, window, then click restore.

Hope that makes sense

Word Tutorial

1) Download and Install and have running http://www.eventghost.org/

2) Download and Install http://download.cnet.com/Bat-To-Exe-Converter/3000-2069_4-10555897.html

3)Load up Hyperspin and alt-tab back to desktop (keep hyperspin.exe running)

4)Create batch file called "game"restore.bat (without brackets) eg RaidenIVrestore.bat

5)Edit RaidenIVrestore.bat and just type Exit then save file

6)Load up Bat To EXE Coverter and convert to exe file eg RaidenIVrestore.exe (explained why in video)

7)Delete RaidenIVrestore.bat

8)Load RaidenIVrestore.exe it should pop up for split second and then close

9)Now load up your PCLauncher.ini file, go to your game in editor eg RaidenIV

10) Post under your game with it pointed to your created exe file eg PostExit=C:\Games\RIV\RaidenIVrestore.exe

11)Go to Eventghost

12)Create Macro and call it RIVRestore or similar

13)Find in log on left something such as Task.Activated.RIVRestore or something similar

14)Drag to your created Macro

15)Create Action, Find Window and choose Hyperspin.exe from list

16)Create Action, Restore

17)Save your macro

18)Go back into Hyperspin, load game and exit to test

19)Success! Go and grab a beer, you have earned it

20)Repeat for each game as required creating new exe and macro for each and in each game in pclauncher.ini

21)Note that I only use PCLauncher, I don't use DXWnd at all.

hmm works everytime for me. So you have Arcade PC Loader 1.4 and loaded RaidenIV Via the GUI? It created a Launcher.exe for me which loads and rotates screen

Just a note, I went through and tested all the games. They all work fine with just the first way EXCEPT for Shikigami no Shiro III

For that you need to make your macro in eventghost slightly different

1)Make your task as standard Task.Activated.SNSIIIRestore

2)Make Action Find Window Hyperspin.exe

3)Make Action Minimize

4)Make Action Wait 3 Seconds

5)Make Action Restore

6)Make Action Find Window Hyperspin.exe

7)Make Action Minimize

8)Make Action Restore

make that the macro and it works perfect

I'm the same RIV just wont run. Error "The Handle is invalid". I've changed compatiblilty on the launcher and game.exe and desktop composition but no joy. It must be either a GPU issue or more likely an OS issue.

Boomslangz, are you running XP? Iam on W7 64bit.

Going to try a different game.

Edit: Just seen from your vid your on W7, which version?

Maybe you have a different version of the game, if one exists?

Ok, this is bizarre.... Here's my Raiden IV update. (Thanks to Boomslangz!!!)

When I would start Raiden IV with the launcher I had it would just die.

I did *NOT* have the Arcade PC Loader 1.4 installed on my machine.

So, based on Boomslangz recommendation I just went and installed Arcade PC Launcher, and moved my Raiden IV folder under Arcade PC Launcher folder

Updated the Control config via the gui, and ran it. It actually worked. And has worked everytime since.

Based on the file timestamps, it doesn't look like *anything* was updated (other than my config bindings) so I'm puzzled.

But, at least it is finally running for me know.

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. So, Gigapig, give this a shot, see if it helps. I know it technically doesn't make any sense, but I'm done caring about anything making sense....

Boomslangz, Christmas has come early, Thanks for a great guide. Just tried Raiden III and it closes perfectly. I suppose that 1 event can be used for other games as well.

I only issue I had is my dirty desktop showing.

Yes your right it doesn't make sense, but I tried it.

It now has different behavior, it's trying to run (bless it) but I just get a white block where the game should be and a small window which says "A running program isn't com....." EDIT "Compatible with certain visual elements of windows"

I will plod on.

BTW... Boomslangnz. I see you have all the wheel art. Could you post it in a zip or something along with the themes? I have a bunch but I am also missing a few as well.
