Taito Type X and Hyperlaunch 3.0

langersld

Question

Posted

I just wanted to get clarification that Taito Type X is working fine in the New RocketLauncher...

In the PC Launcher.ini...I am pointing the script to the bat files

eg:

[super Street Fighter IV]

Application=C:\Hyperspin\Games\Taito Type X\Super Street Fighter IV\Super Street Fighter IV.bat

AppWaitExe=game.exe

I seem to be getting an issue where the game starts fine but after 20 seconds closes and the Hyperlaunch "now loading page appears"

Any help appreciated

For the love of god, and to save my sanity, can somebody please point me in the right direction to get SSFIV AE working with 2 players please?

I've tried numerous versions, patches, dances, prayers and nothing seems to work.

EDIT

I'm close, I'm nearly there, got it loading but some error kicks it back, I'll sort it, woohoo

Just another fix for anyone using a 2nd monitor for Marquee Images

You will notice that when loading any of the verticle games, it wipes the image black on marquee when it rotates etc. This will not do obviously.....

Again, created using Eventghost.

1)Create batch file again, type exit and save as RIVMarquee.bat

2)Convert to exe

3)Run exe

3)In PCmoduleINI under game put prelaunch=(point to created exe)

4)Go to Eventghost and Create Macro

5)look at log and drag the Task.Activated.RIVMarquee down to macro for the event

6)Create Action then Eventghost tab and Wait some time (2 seconds)

7)Create Action, then System, Display and choose Change your wallpaper (Centered and choose your image obviously)

8)Save and test it out...works beautifully now

I have Raiden IV rotating the same as in boomslangnz video, any idea how to rotate it the other way so that it fills the entire screen ?

I think you would have to do something custom and use the ol' Display.exe or iRotate method that is part of the DXWnd module.... In that module, you can see the rotation is hardcoded at 90 degrees, you could lift that piece of code change the degrees to suit whatever you needed...

You don't need to use the original file with dxwnd. You could just use it with PCLauncher if you want to run it sideways.

It loads once perfectly every time I reboot, but every time after that I get a white rectangle in the top left that does nothing until I click on it which then says the program has ended and needs to close.

dxwnd is the try rotate verticle, the launcher.exe etc automatically rotates as well. Do as HillJackBob said

You can't be closing the correct app when exiting, I assume you still want it to close game.exe

If your intending on rotating your display (I think I asked you about this before) use pclauncher and point to "game.bat".

If you want to rotate the other way then maybe you need to use irotate.

Will try your suggestion tomorrow :)

I want to get full screen with the top of the image to the left.

I'm almost there I can taste success. It's not as reliable as using the launcher.exe in as much as it doesn't load perfectly every time but this I can cope with. What I need now is some way to flip the screen, my monitor rotates clockwise which means the top of the image is at the bottom of my monitor. I was trying the dxwnd method so I could get it to rotate correctly but I couldn't even get it to load this way.

Once it has loaded using PClauncher I have tried firing off an ahk to rotate the display but it crashes straight away. Any ideas?

Edit

I'm done, spent waaaay too much time on this system. I'll play raiden IV like the rest of you :)

That's a shame, you were so close, but it is 1 game of many.

I was just about to say, you would need a prelaunch script to to fire up iRotate and flip it (CTRL+ALT+DOWN).

My monitor rotates clockwise.

iRotated.

It does look cool playing it like this.

That looks awesome :bawling:

I just can't get it to work, the only way I can get it to work at all is by using RIV_Launcher.exe that was produced by ArcadePC Loader. Any other way of loading causes it to lockup (white rectangle in top left corner).

Edit

And once again I'm trying via dxwnd, now it loads homura instead wtf! I have all paths in hl and dxwnd set correct.

That was done by cheating a bit. Flipped the screen with iRotate and then ran the game from "game.bat" played perfectly but sadly not through HS. I would need powers of scripting to do that.

A prelaunch script to fire up iRotate and flip the screen. Then the game starts, then a post launch to return the screen to normal.

That's how it would work in my head, but reality is something else and something I'm not familiar with.:)

Perhaps Boomslangz can magic it up in Event Ghost?
