I love the "illusion of more depth" with the lowered playfield. due to the more punchy LED LCD screen (better contrast and black levels, punchy colors) there is not much glare from the lights. The look and feel is just awesome.

furthermore you can adjust the intensity/brightness of the RGB LED flasher very easily to your desired level.

cheers

looking good, i assume you can dial it back a little to reduce the spot effect? that said once its up ontop of the cab, it will look different also.

sweet, anyway of putting a clear led into the bottom side/edge of the plexi so you can make the entire thing glow around the edges?

hey it may only take 1 in the side of the pexi to illuminate through the entire substrate so you get a glow on the edge.. just a thought :)

I think 54 LEDs are enough illumniation :D

Well, of all the things I never expected to see you write Chris. :D

Looks awseome mate.

One thing a guy suggested to me for another project was to put an additional bit of plastic between the leds and the front as a diffuser. Go over it with a heavy grit bit of sand paper to score it up a bit so that the light is spread through the plastic. Worked a treat.

Chris,

Seriously I can't wait to see videos of your cab running and playing, and at the right angle please :smokin:

Do you have a good address where to buy a knocker, and a plunger (with all his components) in Germany?

hey arngrim, here you'll find a list with nearly all pinball shops (german, europe, usa, worldwide)
