Hey Guys, So I stumbled across a fantastic data cash of every MS-DOS game ever (or so it claims) Anyway, I never really played with DOS (outside of my DOOM 2 CD back in the day) and I'm not sure how to set this up. I setup DosBox on the computer, and have it auto-mount my GameDrive (X:\ in this case) I set it up in Hyperspin as the default Emulator for system: Microsoft MS-DOS But now I'm sort of stuck... The zip files that contain the games seem to be the contents of the floppy and CD-ROM... so it's like I have to install them... but (using Ultimate DOOM as the example) It's not letting me install to X:\Games\Microsoft MS-DOS as there are no spaces allowed.... If I do a clean install on the SSD w/ Windows 7, would I only need to copy over the Hyperspin folder with all of its contents? Would there be anything else I would need to config besides the bios? Is this the correct order in which I need to prep the new SSD? 1. Format SSD to NTFS 2. Install Windows 7 3. Install Bios 4. Transfer Hyperspin folder to SSD (c drive) Did I leave anything out?

So I have hyperspin and everything running and can use the my joy sticks and arcade buttons when in MAME, but when I am in the main menu and going thru the games they don't work or do anything I still have to use my keyboard. I apologize if there is a post about this already. Also side note how do you set them up in retro arch. The pic shows what the buttons do, from how I understand this.

Basically just a screensaver but one that plays videos instead of shuffling pictures. I’m thinking this is how it will work. There’s a AHK function called TimeIdle (https://autohotkey.com/docs/Variables.htm#TimeIdle). After X milliseconds, a random mp4 video in a directory like G:\HyperSpin\Media\Nintendo Entertainment System\Video. Every configured system has it’s own Video directory. After X number of minutes, the process playing the video (wmplayer.exe?) should be closed and a another random video should be opened. If any key is pressed, the process should close. Seems simple enough?

I've had no issues for 7 months then all of a sudden I go to play the arcade and after clicking the HS exe, I get nothing. I can see the spinning on the mouse but nothing actually starts! I go to task manager and it's def a background process but not under programs that are running. I can stop it but still no luck. Any ideas? Basically the program says its running but I can't see anything and I've checked all of my monitors. so weird.

Not sure where best to post this, sorry if in wrong place... So I did some searching on Vertical games, Vertical monitors, Portrait monitors, rotating monitors, and I have not found yet what I'm looking for, which is basically this: I have a cabinet that once upon a time had a 27" CRT horizontally mounted that was 4:3 aspect ratio. I want to put an LCD in there to fill up as much of the physical space as possible with as big of a displayable picture as possible. Putting in a standard 16:9 LCD monitor can fill it up in the horizontal direction, but vertically it is still wanting. 16:10 monitor does not help much. Is it possible to do the following: - mount …

Has anyone gotten Donkey Kong Remix to work in HyperSpin? For those that don't know, it's basically a hacked rom - I have the rom, coco3, etc, but I'm not sure how to get a standalone rom working, nor what Emulator would run it. I'm assuming RetroArch would but so far, no luck. Same goes for another hack called Donkey Kong Deranged. And a video about Donkey Kong 2K. I know ROM talk isn't allowed but this is how it was obtained if you legally own it -

Is it possible to use the bezels in MAME artwork , but when no artwork in MAME to use the RocketLauncher default bezel without setting them all individually ? I know it can be set to use RocketLauncher and set false for individual games but not this way. Any ideas ? Thanks

Hey folks, as topic says i am seeking to build a system to be able to play some of my fav classic games (NES, SNES, SEGA, AMIGA, ATARI, ....Playstation, N64, etc...etc...all).... idea is a four player cabinet (with a steering wheel control option as i have one packed up for a while which i may incorporate)... i have been looking around on the forums and saw some awesome projects you guys are doing... right now i am scouting around for the best way to achieve this using the most durable hardware and software i can get my hands on...

Trying to make my hyperspin a controller only based application for ease of arcade use; however, I am noticing that the scrolling is very difficult with controller (it goes way too fast). Any idea how to slow this down significantly? I figured there would be a setting in HyperHQ

Hi, Is there a screen capture software that will record actual gameplay in Hyperspin ? I have tried Camtasia, Snagit so far, but they just record black screens and sound only when I launch a game on any system on the Hyperspin wheel. Thanks in advance for any info

When bezels are enabled the game comes up in a smaller size screen rather than full screen with the bezel. You have to press alt+enter to get it to go full screen. Any ideas ? Works fine full screen without bezels enabled Thanks in advance ps, I am using latest rocketlauncher 1.1.0.6 and PCSX2 1.4 emulator and 2.19 module

Hi there, I've been getting my head around Hyperspin and think it's an amazing piece of software so, firstly, a big thank you to all the contributors for creating such an amazing program. I've got a quick question though. I'm trying to set up the ZX Spectrum with the top 100 games. I bought ROMS for the speccy years ago and I'm happy to rename them to title required by the Speccy XML. However, the speccy XML has 1000's of games in it and I only want to see the games that I own. I realise I could manually edit the XML but don't really want to do this in case I decide at a later date to add a ROM into the folder (if the XML is in tact then simply dropping a …

Hi all, I have looked long and far and having trouble with this. Have hyperspin working with lots of emulators but wanted to use steam for games to play through there. Since this is an aracade cabinet I don't have internet connection to it. I can download the games on another PC if needed with steam, and the copy it over. However, I don't know how to launch these games using hyperspin then. Is it possible to do this? Or am I out of luck for games like SSf4 etc Thanks

Hey all, when upgrading Emulators are there any problems having multiple versions in order to test if it fully works? What's confusing me specifically is that the RLUI Emulators list only has 1 entry for things like MAME, RetroArch, MAME/MESS, etc. I'd like to upgrade RetroArch, use MAMEUI instead on some of the systems since MESS is supported, test a new version of MAMEUIFX, and so on.

Anyone know if any of the following will happen or is in the works of being completed? -Dons FileRenamer (working with XMLs to rename ROMs and their subsequent child folders) OR -DAT files in the works where I can just use CLRMAMEPro if the DON Renamer Tool never gets done or is too buggy ANYONE with NFO about this please let me know. Hey guys, I have a weird problem going on that just started today. I go to launch hyperspin and nothing happens. When I open task manager I can see it there running however. I left it and about a half hour later it booted up!?! anyone know why this is happening? thanks
