Taito Type X and Hyperlaunch 3.0

I just wanted to get clarification that Taito Type X is working fine in the New RocketLauncher...

In the PC Launcher.ini...I am pointing the script to the bat files

eg:

[super Street Fighter IV]

Application=C:\Hyperspin\Games\Taito Type X\Super Street Fighter IV\Super Street Fighter IV.bat

AppWaitExe=game.exe

I seem to be getting an issue where the game starts fine but after 20 seconds closes and the Hyperlaunch "now loading page appears"

Any help appreciated

OK all you Taito Type Xperts,

I have one that's been bothering me for awhile and want to try and tackle it again. Tetris the Grand Master.

No matter what I've tried it's always displayed expanded and I can't see the entire screen. When the game launches it changes the resolution to 640 x 480. This happens in or out of Hyperspin. This is what I see:

They only way I can play the game is to alt-tab to the desktop and change the resolution. Changing the resolution to 800 x 600 is still to small. The next option I have is 1024 x 768 which is a little to high and show a portion of the desktop but I guess I could live with it.

I've done quite a bit of searching but haven't seen anyone else who's having this issue. I don't have the issue with any of the other type x games. This was happening when I had my ATI card and persists with my new Nvidia card so I don't think that's the issue. I've tried downloading the game from several different locations but Tetris displays expanded for me. I have all my taito games running with Pclauncher and not DXwind.

What do you think would be the best way to tackle this one? A post launch call to change the resolution? Some event ghost magic?

Right working through event ghost. I can create the game restore.exe.

However when I double click it, it disappers from my folder and doesnt show as a running process in event ghost!

guys anybody could stretch KOF98UM to fit screen ?

This is how messed up this system is. But I haven't rebooted for a while.

Just tried KOF98UM and I just get a black screen. For no reason.

Hey for that....its an antimalware / antispyware/antispyware deleting this file...check those program logs etc

Right working through event ghost. I can create the game restore.exe.

However when I double click it, it disappers from my folder and doesnt show as a running process in event ghost!

No luck there, same issue with the other exe's. Always displays expanded view @ 640 x 480. What resolution does yours run on? Yeah, I think I'm the only person with this issue which is more frustrating.

ok , now it works fine but when press esc to exit its just exiting the emulator but hyperlaunch still running and i should close it manually

what should i do ?

Right. Have EventGhost up and running ad Raiden3 and 4 seem to exit jsut fine with no freezing.

However the other three games all cause Hyperspin to freeze on exit and require alt tabbing.

I've included a screen from eventghost. Anyone confirm that its structured ok. Thanks.

What desktop and restore frontend settings are needed in hyperlaunchhq?

I'm surprised that works at all? May be I'm wrong?

You have "Task Activated" set. In Boomslangz video you need to pick "Task created"

One step I missed was actually running the exe that you create. Boomslangz does this in the vid

but it's easily missed and he doesn't really emphasis it. You have to run it so Event Ghost to pick it up.

Also, I only remember creating 1 macro and I used it for all games, you have made 1 for each. Again I may be wrong

so someone else may need to confirm that.

I made 1 exe file (RIV) and pointed each game to that.

I would use a separate macro for each game if I wanted some other fancy stuff happening with that specific game.....

Giga, no problem with you saying that at all. Everyone is in solution mode just trying to help topple this conplex setup!

I just followed the steps written on page 34 of this thread moreso than the video itself.

13)Find in log on left something such as Task.Activated.RIVRestore or something similar

20)Repeat for each game as required creating new exe and macro for each and in each game in pclauncher.ini

Not at my pc at the moment but have a hunch as to one possible reason those other three games in particular are still freezing on exit.

Typo in the postexit path that I haven't corrected.

My event ghost setup could still be muck of course!

Fingers crossed thats it anyway!

Update:

There was a typo with the postexit path for the last three games. Gigawings now not freezing however Homura and Shikigami are still freezing on exit.

Interestingly both of these have a Windows message pop up while loading and running.

"The colour scheme has been changed to Windows 7 Basic"

If that worked for you, then that's great. I had a feeling it had to be Task created as any other method didn't

work for me.

I have my "Number of Posts to Show Per Page" count set up different so I get more posts per page, so mine is on 20 pages instead of 77.

The highlighted entry wont work it will need to be the bat file.

I don't think that should give you that error but change it anyway.

Ok. change of pace for a bit as those last few games still freezing for me in Hyperspin.

Is Daemon Bride up and running? I have the rom but don't see any files over on djvj's folder (bat, gamew.exe etc)

It works fine. It may be that this was found or released at a later date. But you don't need

any bat files for that one, there should be a loader in the folder "xb_loader.exe" which will run the

game. If it's not let me know.
