langersld Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I just wanted to get clarification that Taito Type X is working fine in the New RocketLauncher... In the PC Launcher.ini...I am pointing the script to the bat files eg: [super Street Fighter IV] Application=C:\Hyperspin\Games\Taito Type X\Super Street Fighter IV\Super Street Fighter IV.bat AppWaitExe=game.exe I seem to be getting an issue where the game starts fine but after 20 seconds closes and the Hyperlaunch "now loading page appears" Any help appreciated
EnterNow Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Mr Gigapig does seem like an oasis of knowledge alright! kilzine, being a non platinum member would I be right in assuming I won't have access to yours or anyone elses ftp?
gigapig Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Queue Mr . gigapig! ! But seriously I can't remember where on earth I got mine or made mine... but I can put it up on my ftp if you want. You rang?? Without ftp access Enternow is going to have a struggle, even the older way of setting these up you need ftp access. I'm sure it's possible without, but it may be a pain. Your alternative to the "Taito Type X Files" on the ftp is something called "Game Loader All RH" which is very good but has a learning curve. You can normally just drop that in your game folder and run the Game Loader All RH.exe, some games require the TTX.ini to be tweaked, I may one day get round to getting a setup pack together using it for both full screen and bezel. To help you get started here is my xml which you may be able to copy and paste. <?xml version="1.0"?> <menu> <game name="Arcana Heart 3" index="true" image="a"> <description>Arcana Heart 3</description> <cloneof></cloneof> <crc></crc> <manufacturer>Examu</manufacturer> <year>2009</year> <genre>Fighter</genre> <rating>AAMA - Yeah I figured as much. Not to worry, I'm going to reg soon enough as I need a TON of themes etc, now that I'm finished adding systems & games (ttx aside)...so I'll avail of the ftp in due course. Thanks very much for your xml, very much appreciated!
krazyscotsman Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 First, let me thank everyone for the work that has been done on TTX. But I'm having all kinds of problems getting it to work. I can't seem to get these games to work following Gigapig's tutorial; well I can get Raiden 4 to run but it's horizontal instead of vertical on my screen and it does not play full screen just in a window. I can get all the games to run using Game_Loader outside of Hyperspin and I can get the games to run if I point at the Game_Loader exe in Hyperspin including the game closing correctly; again the games run in a window with black bars and the fps counter is in the corner. Is pointing at the game loader a good way to get these games to work? If so, what's the method to use full screen and to setup the keys? I'm using an IPAC keyboard emulator. When I try to do it mapping to the keyboard keys using ttx_config, I can't seem to map any keys. I'm not sure if I'm running into all these issues due to the game sources, I'm just an idiot at this or what. Thanks for any help.

Can I ask, did you use the Taito Type X files first which the guide was designed around? You must be pretty unlucky to not get anything running what kind of system are you running? Gameloader will use different fade titles if required, you will akso need a different control config and you may need to edit the TTX.ini to get the games to way you want.

I tend to be an unlucky person - started loosing my hair at 20.... that's pretty unlucky. I tried a new set of downloads which have worked much better as you can see below. I'm still unsure how to configure any of them. I'm wanting to use my analog inputs (arcade controls configured with MAME default keys) if possible. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, SLI Nvidia 480 GTX, 8GB RAM. Here's the status on all the individual games with strictly using your files. Again, all games work using a launcher. This is linking the application to the bat file as described in the tutorial. GigaWing - launches in a window and runs horizontally. Is there a way to rotate the window and have it full screen with black bars oppose to seeing the other windows in the background? Raiden III - launches in a window and runs horizontally. Is there a way to rotate the window and have it full screen with black bars oppose to seeing the other windows in the background? Raiden IV - launches in a window and runs horizontally. Is there a way to rotate the window and have it full screen with black bars oppose to seeing the other windows in the background? Super Street Fighter IV AE - Appears to load and gives this error "JVS ERROR 0000: LIBRARY ERROR". I've only been able to successfully launch this game through a launcher. Not sure what to do for this one. Street Fighter IV - Appears to load and gives this error "JVS ERROR 0000: LIBRARY ERROR". I've only been able to successfully launch this game through a launcher. Not sure what to do for this one. KOFXIII - Seems to work 100%. I know this is a dumb question but how are the keys defined for these emulators and do analog devices. KOFXII - Seems to work 100%. Just need to figure out keyboard configuration / arcade panel configuration. KOF - Maximum Impact Regulation - game starts playing intro video and then minimizes to desktop. When click to return to game, the game closes with a Windows error. King of Fighters '98, The Ultimate Match - Seems to work 100%. Just need to figure out keyboard configuration / arcade panel configuration. BlazBlue Continuum Shift - goes to black screen and gives "I/O ERROR" BlazBlue Calamity Trigger - goes to black screen and gives "I/O ERROR" Arcana Heart 3 (not sure if I'm pointing the application at the right thing, I have it pointing to game.exe since no .bat file was in the files) - Nothing starts. Finally receive a hyperlaunch error "waiting for AH3..." Battle Fantasia - a windows briefly pops-up (looks like cmd prompt) and after a period a Hyperlaunch screen appears "The was an error waiting for the window Battle Fantasia..." Chaos Breaker - Seems to work 100%. Just need to figure out keyboard configuration / arcade panel configuration. Homura - Seems to work 100%. Needs to be rotated 90 degrees counter clock and go full screen. Also need to figure out key configuration Power Instinct The Commemoration - Seems to work 100%. Just need to figure out keyboard configuration / arcade panel configuration. Spica Adventure - Seems to work 100%. Just need to figure out keyboard configuration / arcade panel configuration. Shikigami no Shiro III - Seems to work 100%. Needs to be rotated 90 degrees counter clock and go full screen. Also need to figure out key configuration Samurai Shodown - Edge of Destiny - Seems to work 100%. Just need to figure out keyboard configuration / arcade panel configuration. Taisen Hot Gimmick 5 - Seems to work 100%. Just need to figure out keyboard configuration / arcade panel configuration. Tetris The Grand Master 3 Terror Instinct - Seems to work 100%. Just need to figure out keyboard configuration / arcade panel configuration. Trouble Witches AC - Seems to work 100%. Just need to figure out keyboard configuration / arcade panel configuration. Otomedius - Do not have any files for to test. Still looking for the following games so I haven't tried any configurations yet. Contra - Evolution, Suggoi! Arcana Heart 2, Super Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter AE 2012, Silent Hill The Arcade. I know this is a long one, but I was trying to be thorough. Thanks for all your help and the work that's been done on TTX.
gigapig Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 You haven't watched the guide have you I think you need to watch it again and follow what to use to launch them. Most use a bat file, the vertical shooters use a specific exe, which you will see has a blue and white icon. Controls are simple just use the pad_config. I can give you a torrent link to the games your missing. All but AH2 will require a different setup as they are not included in the guide. We can discuss those last.

I'm definitely prone to half listening and reading.... That would be great if you could send over the torrent link. Greatly appreciate it. I think I know what exe you are talking about pointing to but I'll go back and watch. I'm always trying to squeeze configuring my system around my family and wife; I'm sure I'm not alone but becomes difficult to concentrate on all the steps... so I wouldn't be surprised if I did miss some steps along the way. Thanks for your help.

krazyscotsman Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I completely understand that, and in those small moments you have you want to get it up and running as quickly as possible, by clicking every exe in the folder Exactly! I had time this morning to go through the tutorial. And I'm happy to say that I have the majority working in Hyperlaunch. Here is the problem children. Arcana 3 - stays in a window but runs and is playable. KOF98 - launches and plays some of the opening video but then minimizes to the desktop with sound running. Once I click the application (minimize) to maximize it; it closes and windows displays a Windows Error regarding the launcher crashing. KOF Maximum - launches and plays some of the opening video but then minimizes to the desktop with sound running. Once I click the application (minimize) to maximize it; it closes and windows displays a Windows Error regarding the launcher crashing. Super Street Fighter IV - goes to black screen appears to load but then displays JVS ERROR 0000: LIBRARY EROR Super Street Fighter IV AE - goes to black screen appears to load but then displays JVS ERROR 0000: LIBRARY EROR Not bad for just re-watching your tutorial. Thanks again for your help with getting these running and getting the missing TTX games.
gigapig Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Arcana Heart 3, run the ttx_ config I think it is, for setting the controls. There is a check box for full screen. The KOF games that minimise, remove the fadetitles for those. If you have the 2012 version of SSF, you should perhaps just use that one, I have a patch you can use, which will give you the 2 player option and unlock extra characters. You just drop the files in the directory and run the included bat file (loader.bat I think.) The patch may be in my ftp folder.
krazyscotsman Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Got everything working on Arcana Heart 3. Still no luck with the 2 KOF games. Both KOF start up, play video and crash to desktop; I've tried removing the fadetitle but that didn't seem to do it for me. I also downloaded the updates for Street Fighter IV AE but I'm still receiving the same errors for both Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV AE. That error being the JVS Error. Not sure if my location for the files have anything to do with it, but they are not on the C: drive; they are located in G:\Hyperspin\Emulators\Taito Type X folder. I tried pointing the application to the load.bat file as well as the fighter.bat files. Any suggestions for these ones? Thanks again for your help. Greatly appreciated.
krazyscotsman Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I'm still having all kinds of problems with the Super Street Fighter IV games and KOF Maximum Impact. I was able to find a different set of the TTX games including Super Street Fighter AE 2012 along with all the other games I was missing (Silent Hill, Contra, Half Life, etc). I had no problem getting Arcana 2 up and running thanks to Gigapig. The Street Fighter and KOF games work outside of Hyperlaunch without issue. Regardless what I try with Super Street Fighter games, they all go to a black screen and give a JVS ERROR. I've tried using the loader.bat, the game_name.bat, and linking directly to the .exe files. I've tried all exitmethod settings with and without fadetitle. I'm at a loss. Any thoughts on what I might be able to try or a different launcher that might work with hyperspin. I have found one other person on Youtube with the exact problem I have with the games. KOF error is different, the game starts normally playing the opening video. Once the video completes and the game should go to the "start screen," the game crashes to desktop. With KOF Maximum if I remove the fadetitle, set exit method to default, and if I bypass the intro video, it will go straight to the game and can be played without error... so I suppose it is working but I wish I could figure out what is causing the crash to desktop. Could it be a V-sync issue? If so, is there a way to fix this in an .ini file? Are there any batch files for Silent Hill, Contra Evolution, Half Life 2, and / or Matrimelee Matsuri? If not, is there a launcher that is required in hyperlaunch, or fadetitle(s)? Thanks for all the help getting me this far.
gigapig Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Matrimelee Matsuri is just another name for Power Instinct I think. There should be a bat file for it or maybe you can copy one across; but that will depend on the files you have for Matrimelee Matsuri. Contra has exe, windowed or full screen, you need to enter service mode and set the clock. Co trols can't be changed you will need to remap them. Silent Hill, you use the exe called something like All Gameloader RH. Did you find the SSFIVAE files in my ftp folder? I'll Dropbox them. Kof, I will look into, I know one game had a problem with the intro movie, perhaps its in the module notes.
krazyscotsman Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Gigapig - Thanks for all your help. I will take a look at it after work. Again, can't say thanks enough.
marxkemp Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 What would be the controls for Contra (AMContra_full)? F1 does work in service menu, and enter to change the settings like the clock, but cant find the other buttons (for example instert coin). Also when starting game mode, the game runs very slow and when i close the game wit Esc. The folder 'capture' has a lot of screenshots. Strange strange strange. Going to walk my dog to clear my head and try again later ps gigapig = awesomeness
gigapig Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Thank you, you're way to kind. We are all awesome here. Here are the controls which you will have to remap as they can't be changed. P1 Controls: WSAD: Movement J: Shoot K: Jump U: Change weapon Enter: Start P2 Controls: Arrows: Movement Numpad1: Shoot Numpad2: Jump Numpad2: Change weapon NumpadEnter: Start Other Controls: Space: Coin Escape: Exit game O: Step one frame forward (press P to resume) P: Pause/Resume F5: Complete current stage F: Advance forward (if player at left edge of screen, will kill them) X: Shakes background, unknown purpose N: Change difficulty settings (use LCtrl and LAlt to adjust) M: Kill Player 1 (lose 1 life) Numpad9: Kill Player 2 (lose 1 life) F8: Slow-motion F11: Save game data during play F12: Unknown, but screen goes black and sometimes
marxkemp Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Lol! Touched almost every key on my keyboard, offcourse not the spacebar! Thanks! I would go crazy without this community!
Dime333 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Sorry if this has been asked Before. It's hard to find info about version types. But is it possible to play Street fighter IV (Not super or AE) in 2 player mode somehow? Different exe maby?
gigapig Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Sorry if this has been asked Before. It's hard to find info about version types. But is it possible to play Street fighter IV (Not super or AE) in 2 player mode somehow? Different exe maby? I don't have one, and I don't think I've seen one anywhere.
Dime333 Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 I don't have one, and I don't think I've seen one anywhere. OK. Thanks.
krazyscotsman Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Gigapig - Thanks again for the help. I've got Contra running but it does not exit smoothly. It does exit, but it leaves the CMD window open that I have to close via mouse. Is this normal? I'm assuming I'm missing maybe the Fadetitle or need to use a different Exitmethod. Do you have a Fadetitle for Contra? The only way I've gotten Street Fighter (any version) to work has been by linking Hyperlaunch to the the All Game RH loader. Otherwise, I receive a JVS Error. I'm working on my arcade on my home computer and then porting it over to my arcade computer. So, I'm going to try these again once I move them over to the arcade computer. Otherwise, I think I'll buy the Street Fighter PC game and just launch from Hyperspin. Thanks again Gigapig for all the help. Truly appreciate it. BTW, do you have any favorite TTX themes that you are using?
njgsx96 Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 The only way I know to play Street Fight IV in 2-player mode is to get it for the PC, which is what I did. if you can play the Street Fighter series in Type X, you have enough power to play the PC versions.

I just wanted to get clarification that Taito Type X is working fine in the New RocketLauncher...
In the PC Launcher.ini...I am pointing the script to the bat files
eg:
[super Street Fighter IV]
Application=C:\Hyperspin\Games\Taito Type X\Super Street Fighter IV\Super Street Fighter IV.bat
AppWaitExe=game.exe
I seem to be getting an issue where the game starts fine but after 20 seconds closes and the Hyperlaunch "now loading page appears"
Any help appreciated
