I will try to keep this guide up to date with the latest versions of HyperSpin and RocketLauncher. Also I'm adverse to making videos, because I don't want to make a new video every time something is updated, I find it easier just to edit a pic and text guide then recording a new video and editing links. Starting a new thread to hopefully list all of the clones, bootlegs, hacks & prototypes that may be worth un-cloning (starting with MAME 175) Much of this was done previously by scottjen26. I went through and updated it, re-formatted it, added a bunch of games, removed others that no longer apply, added the Manufacturers so it's easier to make changes for people with Manufacturer wheels, made a database and added additional 2 Player game info. I'm waiting until I can dedicate a few straight hours to getting it done right and not having a system in a state of flux where nothing is working. I might just eventually have to break down though and start the upgrade to RL in pieces. That being said with the ability to choose the emulator at a game level, I think this really opens up the opportunity for some amazing custom categories. My first thought for me is to make a master list of all aimtrak compatible games and systems and create a master list. UPDATE .... I have just installed Windows 11 HOME EDITION onto a new SSD (version 24H2) and all was ok, UNTIL a security update November 21, 2024—KB5046740 (OS Build 26100.2454) Preview stopped Hyperspin from working. It's now safe to say that if you want Hyperspin to continue working .... DO NOT update to Windows 11 (version 242H)

Got an issue with adding games to favorites, been googling this subject for hours with no luck.. When I add a game to Favorites by pressing the Favorites key (setup in HyperHQ) and then view favorites, a get an endless wheel with that Game, I added Ms PacMan first which I could scrolling endlessly thru the favorites listing all Ms PacMan's.. So I went and added Galaga and again, endless amounts of Galaga.. I scrolled for quite a bit to see if Ms PacMan was will there but nothing.. Anyone have a suggestion where I should start to debug this issue?

Hello, I'm brand new to hyperspin 1, I finally got 1 system going (Sega Genesis), everything works, games show up, they launch, controls work. It took me a long time to get everything working. Now I'm just missing the media. Seems like I need to go Platinum and use something called HyperSync but I've seen some posts that say it's no longer working. I was hoping someone could verify if it still works. Also looking for any advise on how to get artwork if HyperSync is no longer an option.

Hello! There is an option in HyperSpin/RocketLauncher to hide all games that doesn't have a ROM installed like LaunchBox, instead of showing all the games in the database?

Hi, have just purchased a Arcade Cabinet with Hyperspin, it seems to go straight in to "all games" when i turn it on, but all those games seem to be arcade games, no NES, SNES etc.... if i "go back" from the "All Games" the wheels then give me options of "all games", "football", "gun games" etc... I want to be able to add SNES, NEW wheels etc... but unsure how to do this Ive accessed Rocket Launcher and can see on the left almost every game system, and when i click on the roms list, they are all green, so all the systems are there and roms, but just not showing in Hyperspin. I also dont seem to have "hyperHQ" anywhere? Any assistance appreciated...

Now that I got HS running again I need some advise on getting artwork media for software systems like Atari 2600, the Nintendos ect. I accidentally deleted the artwork dealing with this Windows update issure. I tried my old Hyper-Sync but it no longer works with HS, I believe the server is long gone. Does this mean I have to painstakingly refill each artwork for by hand for each system? How do you guys fill your artwork folders for new systems you add nowadays?

So I had a hard drive die on me and now I have to rebuild my arcade machine. Unfortunately, I loaded up windows 10 so now my hyperspin wont load and I'm having troubles finding the fixed files (assuming thats my issue). Does anybody out there have a link to the repaired files? Thanks. Jimbo6

I got an arcade cabinet awhile back that has an XP PC in it running hyperspin. I am wanting to migrate the games to a fresh install on an older alienware desktop running win10. I am new to arcade, although I do have some experience with retropie. I'm pretty sure I found the roms in hyperspin (C:\hyperspin\Emulators). I also found some roms in C:\Maximus Arcade\Emulators. Is there anywhere else I should look for roms? Also, it currently uses a Ultimarc ipac four for the joysticks and buttons. Is the mapping for that programmed in the board or is it setup in the software somewhere? If it's in the software, where is the mapping located so I can move it as well without having…

Hello. I'm a long-time user, and my setup consists of individual PC fighting games on the main wheel, and all my arcade games in a MAME sub-wheel. I launch all the PC games through a custom script that does various things to integrate the games into my arcade cabinet environment. However, I can't figure out how to set up the main menu in the same way I have the MAME wheel set up, where I only need one settings file for all the games. Instead, I need one for each game and they all call the same launch script. I replicated the MAME setup on my Main wheel, the syntax in the database xml file, etc., but I think Hyperspin only expects to launch wheels or standalone ap…

I cant get hyperspin to launch a game. If I open a cmd prompt and past exactly what is in the log file it will launch the game exactly as expected. Log file attached. Issue seems to be with hyperspin. If I launch with rocket launcher it also works fine. Any suggestions? log.txt

Ciao, tryed to put sxs.dll on the folder but when I click on hyperspin.exe nothing happened. If I check in task manager I can see hyperspin proccess start and then close. Any idea? Thank you

I built a driving mame cab that has no joysticks, I had a old version of hyperspin that worked with encoders i hacked together from a ball style mouse for the steering a old keyboard i soldered wires to the feather board for the buttons and a microsoft sidewinder i used for the gas pedal. Everything worked well but the computer was slow and the project was over 10 years old so i thought i would start from scratch. I upgraded the pc and bought a u-hid from ultimarc. Everything works well but unfortunately the steering wheel that uses the mouse x axis like the old cabinet does not work. The hyperspin wheel just spins forever. Can someone help? For some reason I cannot find the search function for the forum. I'm trying to find alternate intro videos for hyperspin. In case I'm not using the correct terminology, I want the video that plays when Hyperspin starts/launches. Hi all, Has anyone managed to get this working in Hyperspin ? I tried this bat file but can't get it to work using PCLAUNCHER module ... shadPS4.exe "D:\Hyperspin\emulators\shadPS4\ps4 games\CUSA00319\\eboot.bin If I remove "D:\Hyperspin\emulators\shadPS4\ps4 games\CUSA00319\\eboot.bin, the emulator opens fine using the bat file, so it must be an error somewhere in the line ? Any help appreciated
