Hi, I am new to Hyperspin and Mame gaming. I have come a long way and have a basic setup working with mame roms. The problem I'm having is that when I'm playing and me and player 2 are hitting all our buttons at once frantically, some keyboard shortcuts seem to come into to play. Eg, mid fight the game lost focus and went to hyperspin asking to confirm exit. Or mid game, a volume bar came up and when I moved my joystick left or right it increases or decreased the volume bar (It looked like a mame volume bar?) I want to disable windows short cuts eg. Ctr + Alt + ? I am using an ultimarc ipac controler Thanks. DF

Does anyone know exactly what CHD's have been updated for MAME 0.172 - 0.173 ? I have info for the roms, just not the CHD's Don't need the files, just the info of what files need to be included in the update. Thanks for any info

On my phone so not gonna bother trying to search if this has been posted. But here is a new game to be added to the nes database. Rom is at bottom of page, it's a dump of a prototype that I believe is complete.

Hey everyone, I am looking to purchase a higher end pc and wondering if Hypserspin is compatible with Windows 10. I noticed that people were having issues with Windows 8 originally but noticed some are having no problem at all. Would you advise against purchasing a windows 10? The sole purpose would not be for Hyperspin but i would love to have it finally working!

Hi all, was trying to setup neogeo cd and use mame as the emulator as it seems like the best choice. The problem is that all the artwork and the database is not named according to mame. How do u guys go about setting up a system like this with all the artwork and a seperate wheel?

I have tried to get for example Nintendo Gamecube to show background images , but so far no luck. I have a folder called backgrounds in my Images folder and inside that I have put a .png image (1024x768) and named it the same as the rom. Should this not show up behind the game when i use the wheel in Hyperspin ? Am I missing something ? Do I need to set anything else in HyperHQ/RocketLauncher etc to enable it ? I am using Hyperspin 1.4 with RocketLauncher. Thanks for any info.

OK. My cab is 100% ready to go with MAME, Atari 5200, NES, SNES and Genesis. Everything I want. However, I'm playing around with the idea of adding some kind of pinball into the mix. I don't want to do a full-fledged HyperPin, I just want to do a decent 16:9 pinball setup and add it to the existing wheel. I know of FX2 and Arcade Pinball. I don't have Steam. What are my (free) options to add some kind of pinball to my cab? Can anybody point me in the right direction? Tutorial?

Hi there! I´m starting to enter the HyperList XML world. Until now, I just gave up on having extra information for each game, but since I found HyperList XMLs, all has changed. I´ve found that some lists have errors. How should I proceed to fix them? For example, on the SMS one (v1.2), Phantasy Star manufacturer is Tengen, when the game was developed and published by Sega. I don´t get what should be the manufacturer when developer and publisher aren´t the same, as I see inconsitencies. For example, Sonic Blast manufacturer is "Tec Toy"- The original game was developed and published by Sega, but Tec Toy did a SMS port later. Meanwhile, Baku Baku Animal is on t…

Hi all, I would like to know if there is the possibility of automatic recognition by Hyperspin or various emulators for inputs. Let me explain, I have 4 pad USB and 4 player buttons with relative stick connected to an i-pac 4 USB. I would keep the i-pac always connected, but in case I want to play one or more games for various systems with pad can I plug and play directly with it, or I must reconfigure everything all the time? If there is a chance (even a similar way to play with pad and buttons together) can someone explain to me how? Thanks.

Hey Guys, As we are all painfully aware... Emulating the Original XBOX is all but impossible. I am having to come up with a secondary solution, so I setup an original XBOX, put a 750Gb HDD in it, and have begun putting all my games directly on the drive. I set it next to my Gam3B0x and it's fantastic. I can just switch the input and BAM, XBOX games... However, it lacks serious visual flair! So I'm wondering if there's any kind of HyperSpin (similar) program that I can toss on this thing. I don't need much, I just want to see the box-art and game-play videos; instead of boring text names.

Hey Guys, I'm trying to figure out how to make Xpadder open and load a specific profile whenever I start hyperspin. I've succesfully gotten it to load profiles for specific systems, as well as specific games... but I can't figure out how to make it launch my default frontend profile... when I launch the frontend (Ie Hyperspin) Really appreciate any help you can give me.

Hey all, I have a system with about 50% of the ROMs in the database, but when ROMs only is checked in HyperHQ, clicking on the system in HyperSpin just reloads the main menu. Am I missing something?

Are you able to have more than one start program in HyperSpin? I currently have knewlife's main menu changer in my start programs in HyperHQ, but I also need to have joy2key start when HyperSpin starts. Would this be done with a bat file, or do you just put all your programs into the start program box?

Hi Guys, Sorry if this has already been answered but its driving me up the wall. After updating RocketLauncher when trying to launch a Mame Rom in Hyperspin I'm getting a screen pop up asking me what type of game i want as shown in the screen shot. I cannot select anything and cannot start a Rom, anyone have this issue and know how to get rid of it/fix it? Thanks in advance TigerSkull79

I am trying to setup a Magazines wheel. I have tried CDisplay, Soda PDF 3D Reader and Sumatra PDF Readers. All work fine and load the pdf.cbr files I have in RocketLauncher, but in Hyperspin it flashes up for a second then loads the image in the background. If I exit Hyperspin it is there full screen ready to view on the desktop. I have turned off fade in,bezels,7z etc but each one does the same thing. Any ideas appreciated Thanks

I am trying to setup HyperHQ to control the Hyperspin Wheel, but for some reason the Joystick ID's are now set wrong. Player 1 is now showing as P2, and P2 is showing as P1 Is there any way to reset this to allow the buttons to be switched back to correct Joystick ID's , and if so where do i reset it ? It all works fine on p2 controller but I obviously want it on P1 Thanks for any help

Hi all! I noticed that we have Daemon tools 10.2 available in downloads section, it reads 10.3 doesn't work, I was using a version prior to 5.0.1, so I tried 10.2 since in most cases, updating is always a good thing. When I installed 10.2, I then tried to load some Sega Saturn games to see how it goes. It worked, but I noticed problems compared to older versions. The module tells us that we have to point the Daemon executable to DTagent.exe and not DTlite.exe like it was before, so far, OK, but then when I loaded 3 or 4 different games I noticed I had to wait double the time or a little more for the game to start compared to what it needed in my older version of Dae…

Hello, newbie back for more help. If you saw my other thread, I was running an old MAME 148 version and having some problem getting settings to work so I decided to update to the latest 173 MAMEUIFX which really makes things easier to tweak. I got it setup and working in the emulator itself. However, when I try to launch a game while in Hyperspin, I get the black screen with the "Cannot find emulator" error message. The wheel's working, the games are all there but just won't play back. I updated HyperlaunchHQ with the new emulator path but it's still not working. I'm sure this is really obvious thing if you know what you're doing but I just can't seem to figure it out. I …

Hi guys. I'm in the process of building my first cocktail cabinet and i ran across "Hypertate" on YouTube. It look like something that might be great for cocktail cabinet since it's vertical style. Only thing stopping me is it's still using HyperLaunch. Just wanna know if anyone had any experience with it, since nothing comes up when i'd searched "Hypertate" on here. Anyways MODS can delete this thread if Hypertate can't be discuss here. Thanks.
