KlopjerO Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Just a question...what's new? | My themes / downloads | Get the MS-DOS Wheel sound pack | Get your MS-DOS game themes here | Get the MS-DOS wheel set here | My YouTube channel | WarcrafT - Lord of the clans |ZeroJay's Ultimate DooM archive
gigapig Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Just a question...what's new? Good question. I would not want to just dump this new version over the old and you need to know if it works with RocketLauncher first.
thcdgaf Posted January 14, 2016 Author Posted January 14, 2016 the tutorial will cover the basics and controls as well which controls are you referring to ? i have no experience in other controllers but ps3 and xbox 360 controller so...as far as i can go with that unless someone wants to add to it im fine with that also and good question gigapig im checking it out ill keep you posted on results i got old one just in case...
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 It was what brought the Reicast core: Still very much playable on later nightly 1.2 builds but this was the official release to bring out the Dreamcast core Stable Simply Austin's YouTube
Styphelus Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Reading the changes, I'll skip this one. It comes with Dreamcast and 3DS support but the dreamcast core is slow and the 3DS emulation seem to be very flacky at this point. Some minor PSP improvements for those who use PSP through Retroarch (I would recommend PPSSPP instead) and availability for Mac ox, Wii and a bunch of other consoles. My Retroarch is running properly and I have no desire to reconfigure everything again.
rikoos Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 My Retroarch is running properly and I have no desire to reconfigure everything again. Same here .... It took ages to get it right so before there are really major enhancements i'm not upgrading ;-) LocationPuttershoek Funny, The Hague here ;-)

One person even stated their Shaders no longer worked. That would really be bad as I love my CRT shaders Are you an HTPC user? Turranius Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Can you use setup the keyboard as a controller yet without fiddling in INI files? Twiztedtechs Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I will be waiting for this tutorial. I have it all up and running but have no idea why it all works other than austin said it would. Would be good to know how it all works on the newest update.
damageinc86 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I'd also like to be able to have the menu toggle button be only on the keyboard. It defaults to the xbox guide button, which I use for RL Pause feature.
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I will be doing a updated guide for this. Been wanting them to release something that would make me upgrade from the previous.... To be honest I thought Dolphin would have come first hehe! But anyways, now it is and it's self updating I think it's time to get it sorted. The shaders and everything still works, including KB control. It's just the config layouts and file structure has changed so using older versions with this will not work... Not easily anyways I have been tempted for a while now as the standard DS emulator has also been significantly advanced. It's the best emulator by far for that system. But I been making do with the older one... Time to get with the 2016s... Innit! Hehe Simply Austin's YouTube

kelvos Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Let's see if this version will work in my cab. All the other versions crash before start. (win 7/64 home edition)

Metalzoic Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Does it still use that deco font? And how does it smell?
