Reingold
I'm going through my first Hyperspin setup, and this application has been great! I have a few questions, which will hopefully help some new cab builders as well.Hyperbase reads all of my systems, but it doesn't seem to pick up on all of my databases. I've read that these databases are pre-set, and that you will be able to read local ones in an upcoming patch. Does that mean certain systems, like PS2, are unavailable in Hyperbase? I've noticed that there is no listed info in the database for PS2.Thanks so much for building this and appreciate your help!
fr0stbyt3
Whoa, I know this is beta and all but this seems a little excessive. This is after a reboot, run once, close application and repeat. Please submit a bug report, I need specs from your system. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
fr0stbyt3
Which folders does HyperBase use to determine which systems to populate? I did a fresh install of a dummy Hyperspin, added all the database folders for the systems I wanted but It only populates the default Hyperspin systems.Does the database xml match the folder structure you have? BlackPredator72
If the custom icons for HyperBase is complete (I still need 210) I think I like those as my Main wheels for HS too. I really like those wheels with name and picture of the console/handheld. Are JayC and THK still working on the remaining rest? Where are those icons located on my PC? And what is the status at this moment for HyperBase? Is Beta 3 coming or are we going to see a RC/RTM version?
JayC
Yes, I'm still working on the icons/banners but have been stuck in DOS art projects and sorting HyperVault lately so I haven't had time to work on them, but they will be made Just curious how can you be missing 210 when there's just 200 in HyperList? JayC
Will those obscure systems even be available in HyperBase? I now have completed Icons/Banners for most console & handheld systems except a few that I didn't have system logos for. Don't have time to redraw the logos myself right now so I'll wait for someone else to make them and then add them to the set. Not sure how the arcade systems should look...consoles/computers/handhelds are easy but cabinets are a bit too big to fit in a small icon. Maybe I'll fix the computer systems first. suspendedhatch
I hope that HyperBase Live will go the way of RocketLauncher and become frontend independent. LaunchBox has a similar function but not on the level of what you guys are doing here. Be nice to be able to use this instead. As the authors of the flagship program, you guys would have the authority to standardize the folder layout external to the FE folder. I'm keeping HyperSpin even as I'm setting up BigBox. Be nice if they played along. Even RetroArch has moved into the FE arena utilizing carts, boxes etc. Why should anyone devote themselves to a single front end if we could easily set up and manage multiples? Each new front end would be encouraging people to contribute art and assets to EmuMovies and all of us would benefit.
RobertCGouge
I am a little confused. I downloaded and ran as admin, for 2 hours it was just on a screen that had a logo and a loading bar. Am I missing something?
JayC
Did you run it from the desktop icon and not from the install folder?
RobertCGouge
I ran it from all 3 places. Each time it results in the same behavior.

fr0stbyt3
Hey! As always thanks for the work on this project. Any chance of a progress update? First off, I dig the avatar. Second, yes. I suppose an update is warranted. I took a break for a few weeks to get the new place together. Here are the things I am working on for the next release: HBL Debugging If the app doesn't load, i'll give the user a few options to try to fix it. additional logging to assist with debugging option to auto-send bug report from the debug screen EmumoviesGlobalize video quality setting. In each console have it be either sync or not sync. Then in emumovies settings page set what quality you want. XML ValidationCheck "main menu.xml" on HBL startup. If new systems are there or if any are missing prompt user to see if they want to update settings file. HBL Admin Initial release File upload Create Update Edit on all media
uplinkpro
Might not be a bug, or a feature, so I guess this would be a feature request. I run my entire setup from a NAS box I have mounted as a Network Drive. However the application does not allow you to add network drives as a source it would be an awesome addition to allow that. Also a portable install I could run would also be great but not as useful.

So expect a few more features aimed at that crowd.
kroton181
Just a quick note to all, for what it's worth. When I first installed HBL, my webroot AV decided that it would quarantine the main app from the HBL root directory (didn't tell me at that time). So I initially tried to run from the core directory and got the spinning logo no action issue. Once I realized what had happened and added HBL to the exceptions list of my AV, it performed as expected. So note to new players... Always check what your AV software is doing when you install a new program or you could find yourself running around in circles. Keep up the great work guys. Yeah, unsigned exe file will get you every time. This is an issue that will persist for beta. The final version will have a different launcher, so that won't be an issue. Thanks! Tribe Fan
Extremely excited about this app! Windows Defender is reporting it as a trojan, but just to clarify, this is only due to it being an unsigned exe? Also, are there any plans to support RocketLauncher media? Amazing work guys! There have been some changes to the sync back end and so the Hyperbase beta is no longer working. Please wait for further announcements from the Hyperbase team.
