brolly Posted May 3, 2014 Share Posted May 3, 2014 Just wanted to say that the reason there's no .153 XML yet is because catlist.ini wasn't updated to this version yet so I'm waiting for it, usually never takes this long. If someone wants to test the games without genres/ratings and provide those to me (I can send you a list with the games that need to be tested) then I can finish the XML in no time. All that stuff you posted I read directly from MAME's listxml I don't have access to my machine where the MAME roms are so won't be able to test them. All that actually run (netmerc does not run at all, just a black screen) are Casino games with no vulgarity, violence, or anything sexual in them. Played each game for about 5 minutes through mameplus_0.153r5133_x64. boohiss Posted May 12, 2014 Share Posted May 12, 2014 You will want to use .151 version of MAME.exe, XML, and rom set all together. If you start mixing versions up between the three, you are likely to get at least some games that do not work. MAME .153 was a major release that brought many changes, but it's up to you if you wish to update to it or not. Just stick to it all matching the same version for MAME to work best.
