Hi, I 'm building my bartop . I have been a user of MAME for PC and I 'm a little confused with the Hpyperspin . My questions are: 1º If MAME emulates different Platforms and Hiperspin emlula more or higher quality? 2º Hyperspin need different emulators are installed one by one by searado , is this an advantage that better simulation graphics and sound? 3º Where I can download the emulators and roms ? I hope you can help me, thank you very much

Hey guys this might be an easy one for you to answer but I have a rom that is from the EU region and the xml database I have is only for the US version. How can I add this EU version to my database? Is it as simple as renaming the rom the US version or do I need to add the EU version to the database? I have Don's tools and know you can rename roms to match the database. I also noted you can generate your own database for your roms but I'd like to keep the database I'm currently using and just add roms to it when necessary. Cheers

I tried to rename a c64 no intro romset in order to match them with the boxart pack but dons renaming tool doesent worked. It dosent recognized any rom.

Hi, everyone! So I have spent 20+ hours setting my buddy up with a HS rig of his own. A PC and a monitor upgrade for his arcade cab. He has been running MAMEUI on Windows 95 since 2000 and I told him it's time to visit the year 2016, lol It is version 1.3 of HS and everything looks absolutely beautiful... razor sharp! Only thing is, the game wheels scroll a bit too fast and it is tricky to "nail down" and select a game sometimes. Is there any way to adjust the scroll speed? I don't have this issue when running my HS rig, the wheel speed is perfect and easily maneuverable. He has a HanaHo Hot Rod CP and I am wondering if that might be a factor? I don't kn…

Hey Everyone, I am not sure if this is the place to ask this but I have just setup my hyperspin for the first time. I have all of the mame roms zip and chd files. I have also taken the standard XML file and edited it down to the games that I want to show up and synchronize. What i am wondering is, is there a program that will compare my XML file to what I have in a specific folder containing all of the zip and CHD files and only move over the files that are present in the XML file to a new folder. That way i can consolidate the amount of space I am using and clean the fodler up from 30000 files down to about 600 files. Thanks for the help.

So I went to upload a theme and it seems very confusing. Do I upload it to Main menu Themes or 16:9 Themes? How about the system theme? Does that one require a screenshot as well? Also, is it possible to replace files after? I've been creating a DOS wheel and wanted to upload what I have but can I delete that file and replace it with a newer one in the future containing more wheels?

Hello, I am trying to build a Hyperspin set up using only "No-Intro" romsets but seem to be having problems getting them to match up with the CRC values in the Hyperspin XML's. Taking the Atari 7800 as an example: I downloaded the Atari 7800 .dat files from DAT-o-Matic I then got a 100% match of roms that match the CRC values in the .dat file using Romulus I then downloaded the Hyperlist XML for the Atari 7800 and used it with Dons ROM renamer to rename my roms based on the CRC value ...trouble is the CRC values in the no-intro dat file are completely different to the CRC values in the Hyperlist XML file. Does such a thing exist? I have a DS and from experience about 90% of the games don't actually use the touchscreen or it is entirely optional... playing on my cab is obviously going to make a touchscreen hard, but I recon the rest would work just fine...

Hey guys, Im building an arcade cabinet, which is about 90% complete, minus the computer/hyperspin/emulators/roms. Im very handy when it comes to building stuff but i am completely computer illiterate! ive been reading on this forum that people are very against people selling "plug and play" hard drives, which i now completely understand why. You guys put in alot of hard work to have someone steal it and turn around and make a profit off your sweat, not cool! Just started with hyperspin this week, my goal is to create a cabinet like all you have. However, I want to get the software part down first. I went through the videos and tutorials. I have hyperspin setup along with rocketlauncher. I have it working with my mame rom set along with the Atari 2600 emulator. What I want to do now is to create an 'Arcade Classics', that I will only have the mame roms that I usually will play. I went into HyperHQ and created the wheel menu, however I am not sure what to do next. I would imagine I would not copy the roms into the 'Arcade Classics\roms' directory. Hey gang, Bliss-Box is going to be making a few appearances this year at various gaming conventions. more on that here http://blissbox.freeforums.org/conventions-t393.html I though it would be really cool to have a full hyperspin set up working with the 4-play. Though not sure on the ethics here and how all of that would work out. Will gaming conventions let you play any game roms? I'm sure there are some grey areas there. If someone shows up with a laptop running HS with tuns of images/videos/roms what that fly?

Hi, Hyperpause works fine when I exit with P or ESC I find myself in a freezeframe of the point of the game I entered Hyperpause. To get back to the game I have to enter Hyperpause again. After Leaving it the 2nd time the game wakes up again. Does somebody know why? Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

Hi, I would like to upgrade my pc from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Do you know if Hyperspin will continue to work correctly with the new O.S.? And do you know if there are emulators that don't work correctly in Windows 10? If I might have problems, I continue to use Windows 7... Thank you!

Hello, I have the full TOSEC Game (ROMs/files) for the commodore 64. I generated my own XML in HLHQ but the xml doesn't show genre type. I also downloaded from hyperlist the XML and Genre xml but a lot less game files. Is there an easy way to 'merge' or add Genres to my full xml file I generated? Tried using Don's Toolset/ merge and generate list, etc... but didn't have any luck :/ Any help is appreciated. thomas

Hi, Newbie pulling his hair out trying to set up hyperspin. I have a set of Mame roms that I have set up in Rocket launcher. I am able to do an audit that finds the roms and launches the games. When I go to hyperspin to launch the game I get the following error "make sure your paths contain a backslash on the end" and it wont launch the game. In hyper hq I have rocket launcher set to launch game and have zip as the extension.

I have been using virtual jaguar for the last two years and it does an ok job. I have just seen that RetroArch will do Jaguar. Has anyone used retroarch to run Jaguar? How does it do? I tried one game and the sound was pretty funky using retroarch but ran fine using virtual Jaguar. I figured I didn't have the audio set right in retroarch. This will be the first time I ran retroarch so I'm still a noob with this emulator.

Hi, A couple of years ago one of the coders of NullDC Naomi bugfixed that emulator for me so that Virtua Tennis 2 runs perfect without any crashes. Does anyone have a module (AHK) for me for this emulator? I now use an AHK i made myself but it only launches the games that is named in the configuration file (INI). Or can someone explain how to set up another emulator like demul for which there is a module available? I remember that there are different rom formats and i have never gotten demul to work.

Who would like to see a lite version of hyperspin? One which is very easy to setup with few options. No hyperpause, fades, etc. Just a few steps to enter a system, choose the emulator path, choose the module, choose the rom path. Then in general options you can choose the general media path, database path, key configuration and some other few minor stuff. I prefer a fast, stable and simple to setup system above a complicated one with 1000 of options i never use. Till this day i do not understand why there are two config programs (hyperHQ and rocketlauncherUI). Questions to the makers of hyperspin. Is it possible to make such a lite version.
