A simple Hyperspin test showing some of the interface and emulation (Retroarch), with some RocketLauncher management behind the scenes. Needs some tweaks, like some cropped video that should fit the overlay, etc., but it's really solid as it is for emulation in general. Also, since the recorder switch modes between the frontend and the game play, it doesn't look as smooth as it is, but it gives the idea, not counting the shaders that don't look right in the video recording, but looks beautiful in normal usage.

I got my Ninja Warriors widescreen theme Halfway done (Background, Romstar logo and video overlay finished, now just need to redraw game logo and characters). This was what I came by earlier. Just wondering if someone's got a marquee to put in high res out there, Let me know.

Afternoon to All! Hope someone can help, i'm a complete n00b regarding Hyperspin lol I bought a Hyperspin system from a seller in the UK, he is sending me a SFF PC wih hyperspin installed, said Hyperspin is configured to be used with an Xbox 360 wired pad, which is fine by me. The question is that can i buy any other controllers that were built for the Xbox 360 (like the arcade pads or the fighting gamepads) and would it work as soon as i plugged it into the hyperspin setup or would i have to configure that pad to every single emulator in the system? Any help into this would be appreciated, thank you

Hi all, looking for a bit of advice. I've got Hyperspin set up just the way I want it. However, I'm having a few issues with certain systems not running at full speed, namely Dreamcast, Atomiswave, Gamecube and PS2. Apparently my PC isn't quite fast enough to run them at full speed. They're close but they chug at times, especially Atomiswave. I'm running an i3-6100 with 8gb and a Radeon HD 6450 with 1gb on board ram. I'm looking to upgrade just enough to play those systems at full speed without spending a ton of cash. Would upgrading the ram make a bit of difference or should I just upgrade the video card? How much of an upgrade would be necessary? Don't want to cause an…

Hi, Im using Samurai Shodown (TTX) on my cabinet - works great. I was reading somewhere that there is a newer version out with controls you no longer have to hex edit and support for a higher resolution? anyone seen or can confirm this actually exists?

OK guys thinking to add some more taste to my cabinet by attaching system control pads like SNES, FAMICOM , SEGA, ETC Which route should I go with? original modified pads with Blitz or use 8bitdo wireless one? Will I have trouble losing the ID position, mappings , etc, if I use wired or wireless each time I run different emulator ? What are your suggestions?

Hey Guys, So I finally got my HS all set up and working mint with loads of classics and many new games but wait.. I feel sad sometimes playing? WTF? I am located in Canada and have been reading a lot lately about copywriter laws, downloading old games etc.... I am wondering everyone's thoughts? From what I understand in the USA items are copywriter protected for 70 years! Not sure what it is in Canada. Many people have claimed that if the items are no longer sold in store then it is not infringing anyone, however on reading the law it differs. Opinions? any legal people on here? I want to play my classics etc. but do not want to feel guilty about it. I get not d…

I feel constantly depressed whenever something bad happens to me. Like that one time when I was criticized for being an asshole about complaining that the PCSX2 module not working for me. Then after saying that the Xbox ruined gaming because it started the trend of consoles becoming PCs in disguise, I was also told that "You have a shitty attitude" and because I complained about being suicidal over it, the thread related to this was locked. But here's the reason why all this isn't dramatic at all........... I am high-functioning autistic and I suffer from depression whenever somebody criticizes me and gives me a bad reputation. And whether it's on forums or not, I al…

Hello, fellow spin members! Been a long time since I've been on Hyperspin. My last build was back in 2015. The site has been totally revamped since then. Anyway, I'm hoping to get some advice from fellow MAME cabinet builders. For starters, I'd like some recommendations on controls, buttons and parts. I'm about to make a 4 player cabinet for the first time. The last cabinet I build was a 2 player and it was my first. I used X-Arcade/X-Gaming parts which worked but was highly frustrating. My biggest gripe was that they mapped certain buttons to auxiliary keys such as Alt, Shift, Ctrl, etc. This caused many headaches configuring certain emulators because the alt key would w…

Hi! I am a newbie at emulators, and I have no idea what Im doing ;-) But I wanted to try out Hyperspin, and first of installing MAME. However......all the games I run are soooooo blurry. I have been trying different settings inside the mame emulator, but whatever I do, nothing seems so change. I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 and a ASUS ROG pg278q 27" gaming monitor. What can I do to get a sharper image?

Over on the facebook page I posed this question? <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Ftherealhyperspin%2Fposts%2F1807042705973897&width=500" width="500" height="193" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true"></iframe> What current game deserves to be in a cabinet. This was inspired by the release of Cuphead because of the style of gameplay which resembles that of the old arcades of the 80's I got over 2,723 views currently. it an interesting question because of our growing in the age of arcades. Games like Cuphead would benefit with a Ar…
