Taito Type X and Hyperlaunch 3.0

I just wanted to get clarification that Taito Type X is working fine in the New RocketLauncher...

In the PC Launcher.ini...I am pointing the script to the bat files

eg:

[super Street Fighter IV]

Application=C:\Hyperspin\Games\Taito Type X\Super Street Fighter IV\Super Street Fighter IV.bat

I seem to be getting an issue where the game starts fine but after 20 seconds closes and the Hyperlaunch "now loading page appears"

Any help appreciated

Yeah I hadn't really tried them to get a good feel for them. I booted up two games with an intel graphics card and they were working properly. So it is relief to know it is just down to my ATI card.

The follow games aren't playable for one reason or another with an ATI card. I have tested the exact same files on an intel graphics card with no problem.

Thanks for the heads up. I went through and was able to make Chaos Breaker work. I'm assuming Samurai Shodown is a similar graphics glitch as I can't ever seem to get past the loading screen.

Still not sure what to make of Taisen Hot Gimmick 5 and just about willing to give up on Beatmania 5.

I purposely left those 2 out of the tutorial, purely because of the control system they use. The same would be true of the Pop n music series, but it would be cool to make a dedicated 9 button controller for that game, but perhaps it not worth it. :)

Calamity Trigger with an ATI card is a no go. For the others, have you tried gigapig & langersld's tutorials?

Hi,

I have a strange problem with SSFIVAE, when i exit the game, the hyperspin resolution is in 640x480 and my desktop is in 1024x768.

So i see a little hyperspin + a part of my windows desktop.

(I had the same problem with raiden 3/4 but for some reason it's solved)

Someone told me to use ultramon to maximize hyperspin window to the desktop, but ultramon isn't free

How do you manage that ?

Anyone got any other tips for getting the sound working on the cut scenes other than installing a different codec? Or did you change the codec settings?

I've installed the suggested but it still does not give sound.

Edit: I used the codec installer, when I installed it I deselected the x86 codecs. So I might retry it with all codecs.

When it comes to codecs it is always safest to keep the x86 ones as well as the x64 on an x64 system. The x86 applications will revert to whatever the default was but of course it won't see the x64 ones so you may end up with no sound. Minor headache that. Also once you have added the other codecs in do a registry cleanup after reboot and a second reboot. Codecs can be a bitch especially audio. LAV filters also got me pretty annoyed at times as well. *chuckles*

Thanks urban.

No joy with reinstalling the lav filters, I also tried Klite codec pack, AC3 filter and ffdshow; made no difference. I really dislike installing these codec packs and haven't needed to for many years. :(

The Silent Hill Arcade cabinet has 5.1 sound. The missing sounds are prob being sent to channels that don't exist on the PC's that are being used to play this. Doesn't seem to be a way of changing it to 2 channel in the test menu (Esc key when using KSHG.exe)

I've spent quite a while working with this newer loader, and it does have certain benefits, like forcing a game into windowed mode, etc.

Here is the translated TTX.ini. The main part is at the very top "Loadermode=" then you choose a number from the examples above the entry. The additional features further down the ini, depend on which loader mode you have chosen.

If anyone has made changes to it, to get Silent Hill working without crashing, please post those, thanks. Mine didn't crash, but I haven't yet installed the codec.

Wow, thanks for that! Other than installing the codecs, I changed the width and height from 1920x1080 to something my monitor can handle (way down at the bottom - you have it set in yours to 1280X1024) and I put a 0 for the enable and show of FPS (to disable them). Pretty much what Klizine mentioned he did. I'll check again when I get home to make sure I didn't do anything else because I know I did open that Game Loader Config and was peeking around in there first.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get Pre-2007 Half-Life 2 materials (the 3 gcf files working). My brain is fried from today, so any guidance would be appreciated.

Unzip the main HL2 Survivor content dump "HL2AC.zip" (2.7 GB) - this will give you your main Half-Life 2 Survivor game folder

Download a small program called GCFScape and use it to extract the contents of the 3 .gcf files, they will contain the following folder structure:

source_materials.gcf = (root\hl2\materials\<lots of files>)

source_sounds.gcf = (root\hl2\sounds\<lots of files>)

source_models.gcf = (root\hl2\models\<lots of files>)

Copy the 'hl2' folder from each of those and paste it into your main Half-Life 2 Survivor folder (there will already be a hl2 folder in there. IMPORTANT: make sure you say NO to overwriting existing files when asked)

Extract the additional "Ben1066's fixed binaries" (17.6 MB) into your main Half-Life 2 Survivor folder.

Check my FTP folder for a quick/simple launcher (changes resolution to 1360x768 when game is running, hides the Debug Window, restores resolution & closes processes on exit)

Is there a way to make the TTX.ini in all English? I did notice it have some kind of request for a language ini so I am assuming it can be done, maybe? I tried to download some language.ini files but instead of ???????? they show ERROR.

I second this...be great to have the inglish ini file it asks...all i see is weird characters i couldnt even possible comprehend...even when drunk xD

i meant for Game Loader Config.exe just in case lol

Thanks for finding it and putting in the work to get it going! I had the usual troubles, but like gigapig, I messed with the TTX.ini file (no idea what I changed - made some good guesses I suppose) and am running it through the KSHG.exe, but want a cursor so I will try switching it tomorrow. Also, for anyone having trouble with it crashing, get the installer (exe) for those codecs. I did the ZIP which allowed for batch installs and had issues. Ran the actual installer, and viola!

Is there a way to make the TTX.ini in all English? I did notice it have some kind of request for a language ini so I am assuming it can be done, maybe? I tried to download some language.ini files but instead of ???????? they show ERROR.

Is there any way to add a second player? The config.bat has controls for both my guns and the keyboard but only an entry for 1P, no 2P.

When I added it to Hyperlaunch and tested it, I got an error that an entry was added for me to fill in. My PClauncher.ini had a new piece marked:

I just re-entered the path for the application and that did it, but why would it need it twice?

Yes mate, I have those codecs installed.

Still, at least I got RIV working in my bartop build thanks to the awesome Gigapig :)

If I can, I'll sort out the files and offer an alternative for those of us that cannot get the ftp standard RIV files to work.
