Hello everyone. I've just installed my first Hyperspin on my Nvidia Shield. Following Youtube tutorials, I've managed to setup the vast majority of stuff including the latest retroarch configuration. To avoid complications, I connected a wired, rather than wireless xbox controller. Retroarch for some reason detected it as a Logitech / Generic Xbox controller. I also manually mapped all the controller buttons correctly. I finally went ahead and ran Hyperspin. It seems to work perfectly with a gorgeous intro and menu system. However, weirdly, It won't let me start any games. Pressing any buttons on the controller will either show the Quit menu, Android About Box…

Hello everybody, Since the last update of the nvidia shield TV (Android 11) hyperspin no longer works. A message indicates that it is no longer compatible with this version of Android. Do you know if a hyperspin apk update will be made?

Dear friends, I do have Bandits no clutter collection installed on my Shield tv pro 2019, which is working great. I have added some games to the database, including roms etc., got that all working and I did learn a lot about Hyperspin (it's amazing!). But I do live in Europe and I have decided to change the themes of the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis to a Europe version. I did find some great themes around, including youtube movies and download links. Before adding them to the Shield, I have tested them on Hyperspin in Windows, and they are working perfectly. Hello all, I'm definitely late to the party since I am just now trying Hyperspin for the first time in 2024. I'm using it on an Nvidia Shield and have come to a roadblock in my journey thus far. I've been able to add quite a few systems to the wheel and have gotten most of them working (all manually since the downloads section is down) but, since I started with one of those builds that someone else uploaded (and left it a mess btw) I am trying to overwrite the existing databases for PS1 and SegaCD. The issue I'm facing is, even though the database xml is properly showing the games list, and the settings ini has the proper rompath/extensions/subfolders etc. Hyperspin …

Update: As @reznnate has recently introduced support for newer versions of RetroArch in the official version of HyperSpin this mod is officially deprecated. Please use the official HyperSpin version instead. Update 2: The last official HyperSpin for Android Beta version can be found bellow. Having said that, the beta version is suffering from several issues (No support for SAF, no ability to launch several emulators, suffering from some instability, etc). Unfortunately it looks like development has slowed down again. So, for now, I'm "un-deprecating" the modded APK - at least until a new official version of HyperSpin gets published to Google Play Store. Just a heads …

Just picked up a retroid pocket 3 handheld and have been struggling getting hyperspin to launch. I essentially just used the same folder I'm using for my Nvidia shield tv which works. The rp3 uses android11 which I wasn't sure was part of the issue. The last thing is that I'm not sure if the folder structure is correct for the build of the apk thats out. When I plug and mount an SD card to move apps and expand my storage, the internal storage folders almost change to just be the sdcard. So when I plug into windows to side load apks or transfer roms, the folder structure only shows as SanDisk SD card.. With hyperspin it opens and closes right away.. …

Hi, I've just installed Bandits no clutter 200gb hyperspin image to my 2017 nvidia shield, all is working good but I'm confused as to how I add a new system ( Atari 2600 ) as there are no tutorials that I can find. I have 900 roms placed within a folder called Atari 2600/roms, how do I get the system to show in the platform list? How do you download the artwork/music/bezels to the Nvidia shield? How do I set up a default emulator for a system? If someone could tell me step by step process that would be much appreciated Thanks

Hi, I bought a hyperspin system (8tb for nvidia shield) from here and after 6 months I finally downgraded my Nvidia Shield. I got to play for a few hours and then I turned it off. The next day I wasn't able to load the games anymore. It's says Warning - Attempting to launch invalid emulators something. Se attached pic. I need some help pls.

Hey guys, brill site. Now I am looking for some help, hyperspin is awesome but I am having some issues with both the dreamcast & mame emulations. out the box, both the mame and dreamcast emulations would throw up a black screen and pretty much nothing else, I did a bit of digging around on the net and some how come about setting redream up as the launcher instead of the stock one however now it will load within hyperspin it just takes me to the redream loader instead of starting the actual game. I've recently set up a prebuilt configuration for Android TV with some emulators that uses RetroArch and RetroArchPlus, and I've noticed that ones that launches RetroArch are working fine, but all that launch RetroArchPlus makes an strange behaviour. So guys, I'm trying to install HyperSpin on my Shield. This is the thing, I purchased an external HDD with Hyperspin for PC installed on it with videos, pictures, and every MAME game you can think of a while back. It works great on my PC, but I want to use this now on my Shield. So, I figured there has to be a way to install the android version on the shield, and then somehow point the directories to my external HDD with everything on it, since it is many GBs big and won't fit on my Shield cinema hd device, and so I can use the preexisting files from that HDD just with the android app. Is this possible? I know about Bandits 200GB build. What I'm trying to understand is can I get this to work over the network NAS vs USB drive or internal storage applinked? I'm currently using retroarxh to access my room library this way and it works great. I just don't know where does Hyperspin store all of its Metadata information (videos, backgrounds, etc). Is this forced to be stored locally on the shield? If so, how much space does that roughly take up? Or can I point it yo my NAS location and serve from there? Thanks in advance.

Hi, i work a lot to make my perfect HS on android from scratch ! I understand there is some feature that don't work like animated wheel with swf but what i don't understand is why reload background seems blocked on true with android settings ? With my pc no problem i set false and it doesn't happend, but when i switch my HS on my shield, every themes are on reload background=true. Is there a way to fix the only issue who stays in my way ^^ THX

Sorry, is it possible to make different rom systems work inside the same category on Android? For example a Street Fighter category with all the roms from different systems I found these pages, the first one is 3 years old and the second one I'm not sure if "Sub-wheel, wheel layout parameters (features not yet implemented) " is the same I'm asking.
