Hey hey everyone! Quick question for all you folks that are smarter than I am. I'm currently running HS 1.3.2 and I saw that the latest (non-Beta) update was 1.3.3. So I thought to myself, "Self...you want the latest and greatest stuff. You're good enough, smart enough, and gosh darn it...people like you." It was at this point that I downloaded and extracted the files (ignoring the false positive trojan shenanigans). But then when I checked the HS.exe properties...it says that it's still 1.3.2. What gives? I'm sure I'm missing something. But what, I don't know. Thanks for any light you can shed on this :-)

Hello, I was looking to emulate Gamecube games for hyperspin. However, it would appear that hyperspin does not have gamecube in its database and such. Is this true? If so, how would I add gamecube to hyperspin?

Hi, I have been trying to download the HyperSpin installation zip from the Downloads section for a few days, but it just will not work. I click on the Download button and then I am taken to a second page where I click once more. Then a 90 sec countdown starts. When the counter reaches zero and one would expect the download to finally commence, I am taken to a blank page. I have reported the link as broken and waited a few days and tried again but with the same result. Either I am stupid or there is some sort of error with the download function. So I have been researching like crazy! I want to do this the cheapest and best way possible. But I had a couple of questions. So from my research.. I am going to build my cabinet from scratch. It will include an old computer I have and a screen. ( How is an LCD vs old tv? I heard some people like using old tv's better?) Also going with a I-PAC2 board and making my own control board. ( Does anyone have links to the best places to buy the controls? Single buttons and track ball? Anything I am missing, input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

My xarcade is assigned alt, ctrl, etc which are already hotkeys for nulldc. Does anyone have a AHK I can use to reassign those buttons to ones that will be recognized?

Hi there. I just set up DS emulation through hyperspin simply because I could do it. The DS has always been one of my favorite systems. I use xbox 360 controllers for all of my emulators. Now that everything is configured, I'm wondering how some of you use it. Do you always keep a mouse nearby to access the touchscreen, or perhaps program a controller to interface with the touchscreen? Do you play only games that don't involve the touchscreen? I'm hoping to make it somehow usable from my couch, but for now it seems like I'll just stick to games that don't involve touch. Thanks!

Hello, Based on searching for solutions and my own experiences you will have wiimote connectivity issues unless you: 1. Open dolphin emu 2. Go into the settings and check the "continuous scan" option 3. Open up a game 4. close game 5. Go back into settings and uncheck "continuous scan" 6. You are in the clear until you CLOSE the dolphin emu 7. Repeat process when you decide to game again So... I am looking for a way to open the dolphin emu and exit out of games back into hyperspin WITHOUT closing the emu altogether. A while back mek1 shared a FM-7 theme and in the pic there were wheels and videos/pngs. Anybody have these? I do not see them in his folder. I PM'd him and waiting to hear back but not sure how much he visits the forum. The thread has been erased with the site upgrade as far as i can tell. See pic below. PS: I have a .ahk file for FM-7 (using XM7 DASH english version). WIth help from spotUP as well. It loads disks, multiple disks, merged disks, tapes. Trying to configure tankstick for nulldc and there must be a conflict b/c player 1 stick registers but not all buttons respond in game while player 2 responds and registers. I would like to change the keys assigned to player 1 stick so they don't interfere. How would I do this?

Hi All, First off I should say thanks. This is a great community and I've been having a lot of fun working on my project and cannot say enough about how helpful everyone has been. I've been tinkering for weeks now and I feel like I'm getting to the point where I know the ins and outs of the system (incl RL) very well. So I've been toying with the idea of creating a separate wheel for small-kid-safe MAME games (pacman, frogger, etc) since I have several small children at home. For me, time/effort is not the issue... my number one priority is easy of use (from a cabinet perspective) followed closely by having the separate wheel feel natural within the system. It occ…

Hey guys, so I just went to add the Chicuelo theme to my hyperspin. I noticed that some themes were missing, however, such as Sega CD. Is there any way to find these, or did the creator never fully finish? Also, I am finding it difficult to find global themes. Does anyone know where I can find any? Thanks.

Hi, I was wondering what would be the best way to break mame down into systems. Example MAME - all mame games to search though PlayChoice10 - Just playchoice 10 roms Is there a way to have the playchoice10 wheel look in the Media\MAME\Video for matching videos so i don't have to copy them to Media\PlayChoice10\Video? The only way i have found is to put the PlayChoice10 list as a Genre and sort them that way. I have a complete mame folder and i would like to have sub wheels by system. I would like to do this with only editing XML files and not duplicating data or splitting up media data. Is this possible?

When I turn my pc on, the marquee light comes on every single time the pc starts, the monitor barly ever turns on. I can sometimes unplug the monitor from the powerboard and plug it back in, turn the pc off and on and things like that and it sometimes works. I have seen a few posts that say there is an updated "module, ahk file, media or database" for available for a certian system, but it looks like it is only available on the ftp. Do you have to have platinum membership in order to get any updated file? For example... Mame is on 0.160, but from what i can tell the database that a normal member can download is .145, or .155 i think. It seems like everthing that is allowed to be downloaded is from 2 or so years ago, but there seems to be updates that are being made. With the new site change, will the older databases, modules, files, etc... be updated too? I plan on getting membership in the next month or two, but …

Hi there I am looking for a new Home Theatre PC to run Hyperspin.
