Hey all, First post. I've got a bunch of Atari 2600 rom's that the names don't match the hyperlist. In an attempt to regenerate the xml database I'm trying Don's Hyperspin Tools. However, it doesn't find any of the games. My Atari 2600.ini looks like: [exe info] path=D:\Hyperspin\Emulators\MAME\ rompath=D:\Roms\Atari2600\ userompath=true exe=mame.exe romextension=a26 parameters= searchsubfolders=false pcgame=false winstate=HIDDEN hyperlaunch=true and I'm using the latest Hyperlist for Atari 2600. Any ideas or would another tool be more useful? If I can't figure it out I may just write my own that uses the checksum to do the match. I find all the various to…

Over recent weeks I've been receiving more and more messages from folks about roms matching the CRCs we have in databases. I never mind helping people get setup, but I think there are some points that need clarifying here... A CRC (as we use them) is a code generated by performing a calculation on a file. If two files are exactly the same, as in they are a bit for bit match, the CRC code will be the same for these files. We add CRCs to game list databases to aid the process of matching game roms to the entries in the database. Note that these are to aid the process, and they should be used as such. Hey guys....serious question here. So I have seen quite a few people here over the years that have made cabs using LCD screens. So.....how are you guys dealing with the input lag when playing? I've been playing my cab for three years now, and can definitely notice it and it sucks. CRT is not an option for me, as my cab is designed for 16:9 Screens. I thought about Gsync, but the largest widescreen my cab will take is 21.5 and I can't find a Gsync or Freesync monitor that small. Not to mention I'd have to upgrade the video card too. So I'm stuck in between a rock and a hard place that's ruining my experience. Thoughts?

I'm planning to buy a Virtual Drive program to mount CD-ROM/DVD-ROM based games to use with HyperSpin and RocketLauncher. I'm using Windows 10 and i would like to know if someone can recommend me the best deal. Ok the problem I am having is the videos for the system's on the main menu are working I can hear them and see them but the box where the video plays has the video in a small sorta Wide screen format it looks weird almost like if I had the Aeon Nox theme installed which I do not I attached a screen shot of the problem i am having all my systems are like this on the main menu would really hate to have to delete everything and restart over I have allot of time into setting this up thanks in advance for any help....

Im sure its probably something basic ive missed but when I try to launch a PS2 game via HS nothing happens. It doesnt launch from the Rocket Launcher menu either. Its working direct from the Emulator itself (PCSX2) , but just not from Hyperspin or RL itself. Any ideas guys?

I'm using HyperSpin with RL to emulate about 30 different systems. For uniformity sake, I prefer Retroarch as the main emulator. I know RL has MultiDisc support for PSX Mednafen cores but when I try to swap discs in Sega Cd or Sega Saturn for example using retroarch's mednafen or genesis plus x cores through RL's MultiGame feature it won't work. Is bringing up RetroArch from within HS the only way to swap discs with these cd-rom based systems and most others? Seems really cumbersome.

I can't seem to figure this one out. I have my MAME hyperlist set up for hyperspin. All games are selectable and launch perfectly through hyperspin, but when I want to skip games by letter (moving joystick left or right to select alphabetically), only the apostrophe (') and the numbers 1 and 2 show up. What can I do to get the entire alphabet to show up with my hyperlist? I'm scratching my head on this one. Any help is appreciated.

Hello! I would really love some help getting a playstation 3 emulator (PSeMu3?) working in hyperlaunch. I have added the system(playstation 3) in hyperlaunch HQ, but there are no modules? I have tried searching google and the forums, but nothing really comes up.... Happy Easter everybody!

Hey guys. I have some amiga roms that have multiple files ie. disk one and disk two but I only have one entry in the database. Do I need to create a new entry for disk two? If so I need to edit the database xml using notepad ++. I havent done that before. Is it straight forward or are there instructions somewhere? Thanks!

Hello everyone, I have recently (through numerous issues) finally got Hyperspin and everything involved with it running it way I wanted it too. But while setting controls for NEORAINE 32 for the Neo Geo CD system something happened. After adjusting the settings I no longer had controller support for my XBOX 360 controllers and then all games had "Can't Find Launcher" once they tried to load. Any ideas on what I messed up? Thank you.

I am late to the game but I just started working on the whole hyperspin arcade thing. I was messing around a little and i loaded the emulator but when I go to test or play the rom for SNES, it tells me the roms are missing ini files...? I apologize in advance, but I have no idea what it's referencing to! Thanks for all the help and kind words!

Hello, Is there a third-party software with the feature to display different game- and hyperspin specific statistics, such as: total installed systems in Hyperspin, total number of games and games in each system, total time played and time played per specific game and so forth... I know there is a statistic file in the "Data Folder". But what i would like to have is a small software to use this informations in a comfortable way. Does anybody knows something?

I'm thinking about adding a "gambling" wheel to my setup with a handful of poker, slot, and other types machines using MAME 0.180. Does anyone have a list or a link to info around the best, or favorite, english language games out there? I'm having a hard time finding much info, and sorting through the huge list of ROMs is proving to be a huge pain in the butt. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I discovered Bezels. I find them amazing.. but there is one issue. I had major issues starting up my mame games with bezels - then I noticed that it can be my window resolution. I tried bezels from another site which weren't 16x9 and they work perfectly. But when I tried with 16x9 bezels my computer just frooze. I have signed out through ctrl+alt+del like 7 times .. it was kinda heartbreaking. Please help! How do I change HYperspin to start in 16x9 ? Im using 1024x768 atm ! in HyperHQ.exe - windows resolution .

Hello, I was just curious if my new alienware alpha R2 will run hyper spin well enough? What about ps2/wii type of games? Hi guys. I thought I had this all setup but now rocketlauncher is sending me to the mame emulator main memu screen rather than launching the game I'm trying to. I have skip checks set to rom only as it says to in the module and match rom extensions to true. Any ideas? Thanks Bruiser
