Let's use Asteroids Rev. 2 as an example: Cocktail cabinet built with an X-Arcade type controller set-up. The "[" key button is set-up as the insert coin in Mame. All my buttons on my cabinet have been assigned in the Default.cfg file to MAME so that, for example, "[" is insert coin 1. All my non-vector games work great with my button assignments in hyperspin. When I load a game like Asteroids in MAME directly, the "[" button works fine. But when I load it through Hyperspin, the "[" button doesn't work at all. So I went into TAB and looked at the insert coin key binding and re-assign it to my "[" button and it states it's "5"? So I click it and hit my butt…

Ugh- If you have TOSEC roms or even put roms in separate letter subfolders (A-L), which is important for emulation from SD cards on other systems like the Wii or a MIST FPGA, it takes FOREVER to map rom paths. The ability for RocketLauncherUI to recognize subfolders like HyperHQ is my number 1 feature request and wish for this world- even over world peace! HAHA It taunts me more in that each folder is never remembered so that you could save time by adding another path and then arrow down one. A DREAM would be A Drag and Drop system where you hit the 'add rom path' button and a box opens where you can drag a directory in it, and it will search all subfolders for…

Hi, Does anyone know where I can get Crylen's transparent background ? I am trying to complete my main menu wheelart, but only have the Crylen border but its not transparent. I used to have it but I lost it along with AutoKustom on a hard drive. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hello, i have a 2tb version of hyperspin downloaded from a website. I am going to add mugen games. I have edit the database and i can see the game in hyperspin. When i start the games i added it loads them but in background. I have to connect a keyboard and bring it in front using alt+tab. But in mugen games preloaded with the version i downloaded it brings them in front automatically. What am i missing? Thank you

Have you guys tried leaving HyperSpin on overnight or for 24hrs+? I'm hoping to achieve a setup that can sustain long periods of being powered on but with the FLV video transitions I eventually get the grey exclamation crash (memory related). I may do away with the FLV transitions all together for stability but before I do that I wanted to see if you guys have any tips, tricks, or particular hardware that allows you to run extended sessions. I'm running an i5 rig with 8GB ram and a GTX560ti. Grey exclamation crash anywhere from 4 to 8 hours after starting Hyperspin. Slightly longer with flash hardware acceleration off.

What happened to the Taito Type X db? There used to be a bunch of additional games like Arcana Heart, Beat Mania, Contra Evolution and so on. I'm sure they probably got split into some other categories since they weren't really Taito Type X games. Anyone know which ones? I still want them all in one DB. Emumovies called them Arcade PC but that seems to be gone from their site as well.

I've configured RocketLauncherUI to set HyperSpin as the default frontend. I've also gone into the HyperSpin Settings.ini and set "Hyperlaunch_Path=E:\RocketLauncher\RocketLauncher.exe." I have no problem launching games directly from RocketLauncherUI, but when I attempt to launch the game in HyperSpin, I can browse games, but when I click Start to launch them, nothing appears to happen. I've taken a screenshot of my HyperHQ screen for SNES and attached it here. And here is my directory structure... Everything is on the E drive: E:\HyperSpin E:\RocketLauncher E:\ROMS\Super Nintendo Entertainment System\roms I'm using relative paths as I would like …

So I'm making another wedding gift... don't know if anyone remembers my Wedding NES system haha. I started messing around with the intro video I made and decided to make a hyperspin intro as well. Certainly not as good of quality as many others I have seen but I enjoyed making it I am no artists or a pro at making videos thats for sure. I stole a remake of a zelda video and modified it. I'm a huge zelda nerd though so for other Zelda fans I hope you enjoy it.

I've installed a few emulators (bluemsx,FreezeSMS) for this system and can get them to run outside of RL but not in it. I am currently using FreezeSMS and works on its own and when I launch through RL I get a core.dat error that say to rename it to core.exe then when u rename it to core.exe it says it requires it to be the executable instead of the normal exe then if u make that the main path for the emulator it says it has draw and direct x problems. Any help would be great.

As you guys know there have been some updates to HLSL in mame recently and I couldn't be happier with the changes. For a while I was really obsessed with CRT royale in retroarch due to its excellent shadowmask blacks and other things. Well now that HLSL has been improved these new settings I dialed in definitely rival the CRT royale shader. Well, I like it anyway I found the default HLSL shadowmask looks good on my laptop but on my arcade's 30" monitor the little "pixel" effect looks really weird - especially on titles like Outrun where you have a solid blue sky. So I'm using JoyToKey to control Hyperspin, but when I launch HyperXMLspin, it doesn't use Rocketlauncher and the JoyToKey profile for Hyperspin is still active. Is there anyway to get HyperXMLspin to launch with Rocketlauncher?

Is anyone using a steering wheel to control Hyperspin? I was hoping to use the steering wheel to move through the games and the accelerator to select the game in much the same way that you make selections inside games such as Daytona and Sega Rally etc. The problem is that when I attempt to configure it, setting my steering wheel as an analogue controller I find that moving the steering wheel will get the Hyperspin wheel spinning quickly and I can't seem to stop it. Do I need to go back to the idea of selecting games using digital controls/buttons?

So.. I love VJoy for what it is, however some games/programs hate it. The usual undesirable behavior I run into is the game detecting a joystick giving "UP" or "LEFT" constantly, disallowing menu navigation, controller re-mapping, etc.. I was trying to configure some PC games this morning (Crawl and Guilty Gear Xrd) and finally got FED UP with it. After doing some research, I found a solution. DEVCON (Windows Device Console) is a tool out of some Windows SDK kit (read more here if you're interested). I'd like to use Vjoy for Mortal Kombat 9, Injustice, and a couple Sega Model 2 games (for multiplayer - Daytona, Virtual On etc). Is there a way to launch Vjoy for single games, then have Vjoy close when you close the game? I'm using HyperLaunch HQ 1.1.1.1 Thanks!

I have Hyperspin set up with Daphne, Mame, Sega Model 2 and Naomi. Everything works great except Naomi. When I start DEMUL and load a rom outside of Hyperspin, it loads in full screen with no issues. When I launch a game through Hyperspin/Hyperlaunch the game starts in a window and then it will fill the screen but it still looks like a window with the title bar on the top of the screen. Game works great but it's not a true full screen. Any ideas on what might be the issue? Thanks

I've watched the official tutorial videos but I'm still confused about which program to use for certain tasks: RocketLauncherUI or HyperHQ. Even though I've set the rompath for each Emulator in RocketLauncherUI, it doesn't appear that these paths are being updated in the HyperSpin Settings folder for each system. So, I have to open up HyperHQ and specify them... But this seems like double-work? It doesn't seem like RocketLauncher is really connected with HyperSpin... Are these competing platforms? Should I just pick one or the other?
