hey guys in my journey across the web i found that people are working on drivers for the chat pad adapter for the xbox 360 controller i think it'd be really cool to use it for things such as save states and exiting the emulator but it seems really complicated and iffy http://www.videogameperfection.com/2013/11/28/xbox-360-chatpad-and/ https://code.google.com/p/chatpad-super-driver/ check it out and let me know if you know anything about it or an easier way to do it. etc it seems like they haven't worked on it for a year or so maybe this will be useful for some one else maybe some one else is good enough to pick up on the code or someting :]

Not sure what's going on guys? If it's just me just let me know, I don't flame or anything. But I'm no longer a media creator according to my tags? Do I not make anything for Hyperspin? This of course could be just an administrator error. Or it could be something with a more cryptic meaning? Maybe I watch too much x files hehe Its just I seen a lot of people throwing dummies and teddies out their prams lately so would like it confirmed. Happy gaming all!!

I am seeing a lot of people using RetroArch. That's cool, "whatever works for you" is common theme around these parts. But can someone actually explain to me why they use this? I mean, the emulators work already... RocketLauncher works already... Hyperspin works already... How is introducing yet another 3rd party software into the picture a good idea at all. Am I missing some amazing feature or something?

Anyone concerned with the following statement in the Windows 10 user agreement? “We will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to protect our customers or enforce the terms governing the use of the services.” Are they talking about private folders in my hard drive o the cloud?

I need help monitoring what's being downloaded on my home network. Long story short, I've been noticing a huge increase in my bandwidth. Daily average went from 6Gb/day to 13GB/day. I do have my sister staying at my house for a while and while I suspect it's her, I need a way to log in the usage on each device and show it to her so she can't deny it.Heck, I have 83GB in the last 12 days that I can't account for. That's a lot, especially with data caps in Canada. Hi Guys! I'm working on two "demo-pcs", which will have Kodi and Hyperspin as well as "Moodagent" (mood-based musicplayer, similar to a Jukebox but very nice) on them. What I'd like to have is a auto-login on these PCs (both running Windows 7 Pro), which should lead to a screen like on the screen shot. A little while ago I was reading a review on a Samsung 8TB Archive drive and the review said that the write speeds were slow but the read speeds were alright. I was wondering if this kind of drive would be okay for storing ROMs/isos/etc to play off? It might take a while to copy all the data on to the drive but if the read speeds are okay, would I be correct in thinking that running games off it would run fine or am I overlooking something?

This is something I've been thinking about for a while. In my opinion there are one or more members on here that seem to have the attitude "I am great and everyone else is an idiot". Some people seem to have a very hard time to make a single post without beeing arrogant towards people. I think it would be a good thing if we could change that. Whilst my internet was off decided to start on another project I was putting off. I have been swatting up on the Pi as much as possible and was looking at some of the more adventurous possibilities. I have then been trying my hardest to get them all to work together with a natural flow. Hey guys, so I went to boot up my htpc last weekend and well, wouldn't post with my cpu led lit up red meaning "Cannot see CPU". Wonderful. Make a long story short after replacing the mb and metering my Power Supply and ruling out memory, looks like my poor i5 4670k...is dead. I don't know how the hell this happened....it was water cooled and my temps hovered around 75-80 C under full load @ 4.4 which I thought was considered acceptable. my mother board died yesterday in the cab! now you know the story when have to re install windows and setup every thing again, knowing if you use the original drive from the old board it will get the blue screen of death. I've decided to create a bootable hard drive using windows live cd like Linux live! and set up hyperspin on that. so if future boards break down it's just easy to swap out boards retaining a fully working hard drive that works as a plug n play device.

Hey fellow HyperSpinners, I have a question for the Germans amongst us (or dutchies who already have experience with what I'm about to ask) I want to organize a whiskey tasting and need to buy some bottles and it happens to be the case I live a stones throw from the German border and I know for a fact spirits are cheaper there. Enough to warrant a visit when buying a couple of bottles of strong liquor (also, I did this when living in another city near the border as a student and hopped the border for just this purpose frequently) (also it doesn't hurt I can pick up some good German beer as well as it's mostly represented in our stores with the standard boring stuff) …
