Hi, HS has not been updated for a long time. I do not ask for major changes since whoever wants a different frontend already has other options to choose from. But there is an issue from the beginning that has supposed a great dilemma, because many themes only exist in 4:3 version, but nevertheless, most users have 16:9 monitors. For this reason, I request a small modification to the code that allows to maintain the aspet ratio of the 4:3 themes when HS shows in full screen. I know there is a "fix", the HS Bezel, but it not works really in fullscreen, and also, it causes problems with certain configurations when using intermediate programs with the em…

I've watched a number of the tutorial videos and I have either missed something or am doing something wrong... I installed DonkeyMe on my PC. I added it to the PC Games.xml database. I added it to the PCLauncher.ahk module in RocketLauncher in both the global module and the system specific module. I can launch the game from RocketLauncher, but the game doesn't show up in the PC Games wheel in hyperspin. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If it's in one of the tutorial videos and I missed it, if you could point me to that particular video, I'd take that too. Thanks a ton!

ok so im in a bit of a pickle... dons rename tool only recognizes 70 of my 1400 ps1 games. i thought id create a new xml list with my rom names. though now my media (images and videos) arent matching my xml names now and i cant rename them either! is there any trick to getting my roms renamed? heres a text list of my roms. its a bit of a mixed batch. i just dont understand why Dons tool doesnt have a simple feature where it could 'match all with the best possible answer.' because '2xtreme-ntsc-u-scus-94508-' is obviously '2Xtreme (USA)' in my XML!! in my head its so simple but maybe im missing something. ive got the standard ps1 xml in…

Hi Guys. I just recently started configuring HyperSpin. I've made some themes which I'm pretty satisfied with and people seem to think so too. (Crash remastered trilogy, Spyro reignited and ducktales remastered) I've made themes for some of my PC games, but now I want them to go in the appropiate "PC games" wheel. I don't know where to start doing this. I've searched far and wide and nothing has really helped me so far. To be clear, the way i want this to look is this: Wheel: PC games -> Game A, Game B etc. Hope this makes sense and I've put this post the right place.

Hi, Am very new to all this and hope someone can please help!? I have just gotten a fully set up 8tb drive with Hyperspin, Rocket Launcher all installed and ready to go. It works fine but, although I have managed to get the MAME games to work with HLSL and they look great, try as I might, the Neo Geo MVS collection although the wheel and the games run, in spite of them using the same MAME emulator and I have used the same .ini file and the same path for both, under the Global Settings tab for MAME too. Funny thing is, I initially thought I was doing this for MVS but I was changing the .ini file for Neo Geo Classics and that worked!!! Any help on where I am …

Trying to understand the XMLs more. I have several different arcade cabinets running MAME; each with different controllers and button configurations. I am trying to create an updated 214 setup for each system based on players and buttons as well as genre. I have a mamelist.xml that has all of the data in it for the number of players, buttons, etc. When I use a tool like Don's Hyperspin Tools Fitler Hyperlist it isn't showing anything in the buttons column. I have the source xml pointing to the mame.xml in the hyperspin database folder and the mamelist.xml pointing to the one generate by MAME (verified to have all the data). Any ideas? Im having trouble getting hyperspin to launch when windows start. at first i tried just putting it in shell:startup and shell:common startup. neither of these worked. then i tried going the shell launcher route and setting HyperSpin.exe as the shell. still nothing. the thing is, hyperspin launches manually no problem at all. it is on D:\ drive, which is an external USB drive. which may have something to do with it. but ive made sure drive is set as non removable and indexing enabled etc. and i dont think this is a hyperspin issue but more a windows issue. just wondering if anyone else had this issue, ive tried some searches but nothing comes up. Hey I have just added Darius Burst to teknoparrot and configured to run thru hyperspin, no bezels are setup for Teknoparrot as games generally run fullscreen . Dariusburst runs in a weird widescreen window and i have the png file for a bezel. I have messed with bezel settings thru RL but have not managed to find a place that sets the bezel per game can anyone help?

So i got my wireless xbox360 controllers working in retroarch and a couple other emulators. I want a controller to be able to navigate hyperspin with. I followed a guide and installed joytokey, setup a default,hyperspin,and rocketlauncher profile under global/keymapper in rocketlauncher. Set joytokey to launch with hyperspin and it is working now to control the hyperspin menu but as soon as i select a game i get a loop of the same error message saying keymapper is set to joytokey but joytokey.ini is missing or joytokey is not up to date. It happens everytime i try to play a game. Is it because i dont have a profile set for that system? I just wa…

Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to create a database, that is, an XML based on folders. Since I have to create one of PS3 and there are 1200 folders. Each game is a folder that has files and folders within it, and when I try to create an XML everything goes blank. Any ideas?

Hi! I have the eXODOS pack (MS-DOS) installed. Does anyone of you guys have the complete media (4:3 for themes)? This System seems to be not much loved. Beside of the video snaps (slideshows) I found real videos for a part of the games. A lot of the wheelart and themes are missing. There is a lot more media in the forum where the links are dead. I think I will at first go through the xml and get rid of the games that I’m not interested in and have a look how much missing media will be left, but since I saw a few youtube videos where they seem to have most of the media, I have hopes that someone here can help me out. when in hyperspin not any emulator. When pressing buttons i have to wait about 8 seconds to press the next. Example if exiting i press escape then i have to wait 8 before i press the button to accept yes or no also have a bit of a delay between choosing an emulator and the games list showing. Hi everyone, a number of my MAME games for my Arcade cabinet are too dark, like the shading has been cranked up to 11! It isn't all of the games that are impacted, just some important ones like the X-Men arcade game. Is there a way to fix shading issues (if that is indeed the problem) on select titles/roms? I don't even know where to start. Thanks in advance. I have attached an example picture, the shading issue is even worse in real life than the picture shows.

I am changing out my PC and will be running Windows 10 in my arcade machine now. I cannot get Hyperspin to launch. At first glance, it looks like the same issue that everyone was having after updating Windows 10 to version 1803. Clicking on either .exe file just makes it clock for a second and then stop. I made sure that I had the correct version of Hyperspin (1.5.1.0) and I even went ahead and downloaded the upgrade files to be sure. Any idea how I can diagnose this problem? Thanks

Hi , I have added this pc game to HS like normal, game runs fine , no issues , I have set no stick mapping profile to run with Pc games as i use the xbox one controller fine My issue is as follows In the game the B button is back /brake ( as it is in many games) , My issue is that when i press the b button then Hypersin sees it as escape and dumps me out of game and back to HS menu other games can use the b button as back and do not do this . Am i missing a setting , or is there no fix? TIA

Hello guys, I'm facing some weirdo error. Recently I tried using 1.5.1 HS and got some error. I'll put the screenshot of it. Before the error I was using 1.3.3 HS with no problem at all but it seems like when I use the 1.5.1 some paths change and it begins looking for files on weird places. THis is my Tekken Collection wheel. The default emulator is "Tekken Collection" but each game has its own config on what emulator to use, all through RL. Hi, I'm very confused... I'm coming back to Hyperspin after an 8 year gap & have set it up along with RocketLauncher & Mame Plus Plus. No matter what I do though, every single Mame game shows up on the wheel. I want the wheel to only show my games. In HyperHQ I have my wheel setting set to single. - Mame. I've filled in the Rom path & put zip, into the Extensions box. In RocketLauncher I've configured my Mame settings & pointed to the Mame Roms directory. Hi Guys! Just to report (I've seen a couple of Spanish people also reported in Spanish) and I can confirm that Hyperspin doesn't work on 1903 Windows 10. It just doesn't start. Starting from Rocket Launcher works normally. Basically same thing that happened last year with 1803? version. Hope someone can make a patch.

got eveything setup uniform, theres no earthly reason why when i go to hit enter as norma to start a game, any gamel, nothing happens. no error, no response what so ever...i think I might go mad!
