I was thinking of having Both Analogue & Digital Arcade sticks like this Having an Ultrastik 360 and a normal digital, as the Ultrastik uses a USB to connect and the ipac 4 also uses a USB (Just incase i decide to go 4 player) for the digital sticks. Does anyone know of any problems doing this..? i know the Ultrastick can do analogue with profiles etc, but this way i can just leave it setup for analogue only.

I have several monitors 17 ", but a 17" monitor is too small for two Spare play, oh I had the idea Desert model, in addition to all two screens is more beautiful and comfortable .. The purple part is separated and can serve up as a closet. Eu estou pensando em fazer um arcade... Tenho vários monitores de 17", mas um monitor de 17" é muito pequeno para duas pessas jogarem, ai tive a ideia dese modelo, alem de tudo duas telas fica mais bonito e confortavel.. Just wanted to share with everyone how I went about making my controller holders. I have seen a few sites with controller holders that you can screw to the wall or your cab or something, but then I was just browsing through a few local thrift stores and had an idea when I saw an old metal shoe rack. Well three different old metal shoe racks to be exact, and each one ended up being perfect for holding controllers. With some coercing of course. The cool thing about this shoe rack, which has one line from another rack just to show how it would look all together, is that the back of the metal rods are threaded and have wing nuts to easily secure it. Not all of th…

Hello all. I'm in the early stages of building out a deicated racing cabinet and I'm looking for some friendly advise from others who have already started or completed their own. My questions largely sourrounding the Wheel, Pedal, and Shifter solutions that are out there and how they related to the emulators. I see many people have settled on the Logitech G27 while others have gone bigger with equipment from manufacturers like Fanatec. My goal is to simulate the original arcade experience as close as possible and perhaps even improve upon it from a force feedback perspective. The setup will be primairly used for emulators with perhaps a few native PC racing ga…

Since it's so hard to get a 4:3 lcd flat panel, i will be going with 16:9 flat panel. I was curious if this is the right move? also, can a 16:9 monitor be set up in hyperspin to show 4:3? How is everyone doing their screens nowadays? I'm looking at a 23 or 25 in widescreen. but would want to set it up to show 4:3 if that is possible. Or leave it widescreen? Thanks!

These are a few of the arcades that ive built. It is truly a labor of love because all the time it takes to make one vs. what you could sell it for is lopsided.

I have an old cabinet that was painted black over the original decals, etc. I took a sand belt to see how easy it would come off. not so easy. i just did it in a couple areas on one of the sides, hard to get to the bare plywood. (from what i can see, it looks like an old defender cabinet). What is best practice? Just seems really hard to take off all the paint. is this what most people do or is there something that i am missing? I am using a 50 grade sand belt. Very interested in other people's opinions. Thanks!

Look, I know it sucks compared to everybody else's cabinets I've seen here, but for not having a handy bone in my body I think I did OK. Started off as an old Capcom Bowling cabinet... not sure what the previous owner was thinking with the control panel: This was the only control panel I could find relatively cheap that fit my cab... testing out button placement: Here's the CP again with the custom CPO I made: Here's the CP in place with the custom Marquee I designed: And finally, here's the mounting of the monitor. The thickness of the monitor coupled with where I wanted to mount it from (metal frame around the inside) would have put the monit…

I just finished my first arcade Cab. From Hyperspin setup, graphic design and cab plan and build its taken around 7 months of spare time to complete. I always wanted an arcade machine of my own and I pretty happy with the end result. Next build will be a lot easier as you guys would know you learn a lot on your first build. Anyway thanks for taking a look!

Hello guys, Just wanted to post a few pics of my finished cab. Its been a very challenging and rewarding experience, but totally worth it. I've learnt lots, and thank you to all the contributions and invaluable advice on here. I'd estimate that all in all its taken around 3 months to complete, and cost about £600 total. Currently being enjoyed in the lounge, but according to the wife that is not an "appropriate permanent home"!! Can't wait to get started on the next project! Thanks

Here details of my latest project Well I was not as happy with this purchase. I made a purchase in the dark and bought it with out seeing it working and without getting a proper look at it In the daytime and I can now see the cab is in poor condition and a few things not working. I must mention these old cabs don't like to be moved,So I wasn't shocked to see a rom error or the monitor colour problem. After cleaning it for a few hours I kept finding dirty parts every where it was so grimy And the inside is showing age the power supply needs a good clean and the wiring loom has more joints than Jamaicans cigarette tin. But that's a easy fix with a bit o…

I am pretty far along on my project so I thought I would share some pics, and say thanks to everyone here. You have all helped me out TREMENDOUSLY. I wanted a pedestal so I could use my TV, and also move it around when not in use. I found an old Tekken 3 cab that was the style of the pic below someone was throwing away, and was in bad shape. I removed the front monitor part and got to work on it

I just finished up this project and wanted to share the progress. It breaks some of the rules of traditional arcade building. Overall, I'm very happy with how it turned out! The 50" vertical screen makes a huge difference for playable real estate.

Latest project pictures: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all, since I was a kid i've been facinated by arcade machines. Once I grew older and got a job I've always wanted to buy an original arcade cabinet. However, time flew by and money was short so I never got to buy one. Recently I discovered hyperspin and the urge to get myself an arcade cabinet got bigger and bigger. As time whent by I met myself a girl and got married. She doesn't like the looks of an arcade cabinet so the final option I've got to get my dream is to build one myself that my wife doesn't find "ugly". I wi…
