I recently upgraded to MAME 159 and run Lottes Shader to simulate the crt look. I love it for most games, but there are some like newer 3d or some vertical games that don't look right with it. Does anyone know if there is any way to specify video settings by rom in hyper spin? All I would need to do is revert to gdi for these ones but can't seem to find a rom specific setting anywhere. Any help would be much appreciated. Edit: I tried the Global Settings Editor for MAME and used the rom specific cli "-video gdi" but it does not seem to change from opengl.

I use two frontends which are HyperSpin and GameEx. I have been working on a theme that works with both FEs but one of my problems is actually sharing the theme. As a member to both sites I naturally just used the artwork I liked from both sites as well as the HS ftp. My thought is that if share my theme on the GameEx site I will be sharing artwork from Gibbawho's psds, a couple THK psds, and maybe some other random things I can't remember. The flip side is that I also have some artwork from GameEx incorporated into my theme that HS would use. Could I be granted permission to share this theme if they too granted me permission? My alternative is separating artwork sources…

Seems that hyperlaunch is running in the background after exiting some emulators such as Nintendo 64 and SuperNintendo. Doesn't happen all the time. Is there a fix for this?

Hey Everyone, Since HyperSpin 1.3 released I have been asked a few times if there was a default HyperSpin intro video available in MP4 format. I didn't want to just convert the FLV, but I found the master of the video on my hardrive from back in 2009 and made an MP4 version of it. Here it is, Enjoy! http://emumovies.com/video/Intro.mp4 right-click save-as EDIT - It seems HS doesn't support this quite yet, I contacted BBB to see if we could get a fix. EDIT 2 - BBB confirmed this will be fixed in the next HyperSpin update.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. I was making a MAME theme game and thought I start with Keith Courage in Alpha Zones ( I guess you could also use this for the TG16) I just wanted to get everyone opinion. Is it good enough to submit??????

So my setup is a converted Ultracade cabinet with real arcade monitor, a PC with an ArcadeVGA 3000 and Windows 7, all was working fine. I upgraded my computer to a newer, faster one and just moved the ArcadeVGA from the old computer to the new. The new computer (not really new but newer) has a TA790gx motherboard with integrated ATI HD3300 graphics and everytime I install the driver for the ArcadeVGA I get a BSOD as Windows is starting (ATIKMPAG.SYS is the cause). Hello, So since I cannot get hyperspin to realize my Ultimarc u360 controllers are running and able I resorted to using Xpadder. Now the funny thing is it is screwing up my fusion for sega. I used to have it work properly but switched my u360 sticks to be the buttons(Wire harness to the joystick instead of IPAC). I did this in hope for gamepad buttons for future games and it resolved some issues I was having with lowering game screens on button combos. So I have xpadder loaded but now it screws with my sega/fushion emulator loaded. How do I get this to close or shut off if I enter a game? I think there is a way for this. Thanks Conrad

Hello, I have been trying to register for 2 days now. I have tried on every single device that I own as well as three different computers. The spam bot puzzle does not show up at all. There is no way to answer it and because of that I cannot register nor can I contact anyone to ask for help please. I was only able to post via Tapatalk just now. But that means I still cannot register or pay as a gold member. please help.

Just wondering if anyone can recommend software for copying files over to another drive. I just bought a bigger hard drive and I'm afraid of getting the windows file path name too long errors. So more looking for something that will copy everything over and trust worthy. Specially with all the work and time I've put in so far. lol

Hi All, my arcade rig is currently running on a Pentium K Anniversary G3258 using the onboard graphics of a MSI Z97 PC Mate motherboard and all has been pretty impressive considering the spec (MAME performance and most other emulators). However I'm now exploring HLSL in MAME and finding the onboard graphics are not up to it, therefore I'm looking for graphic card recommendations. Ideally:- * Nothing ridiculously expensive. * Low noise, rig is pretty much silent so no huge jumbo jet fans. * No cards that require a dedicated power station to run.[/li] Any ideas? Thanks Andy.

The new released version of the program now automatically mount the disk image and does not allow you to create a fixed virtual drive, this is giving error at all hyperspin modules that use it. http://www.disk-tools.com/download/daemon

I'm new and I'm probably way in over my head trying to build a cabinet but that's not going to stop me. (it never has before) I do have a question about this I-PAC board. I've noticed there's a 1A and 1B slot but have no clue what that is for? Is it a enter/back button? Can someone please explain this to me?

For some odd reason whenever I try to purchase a platinum subscription I get this error when redirected to PayPal "You will have to come back and confirm your bank in order to use it to make payments. In the mean time, please enter a credit card to continue" Which is really odd because my bank account is already setup and confirmed in paypal. I in fact purchase things online all the time with my bank debit!! through paypal with no hassles. I only get this error with Hyperspin. Has anybody else come across this issue when donating? Helping out a friend and came across a small problem, He's using Hyperspin v1.1 he's running Sega Model 3 , i cannot get it to run fullscreen inside hyperspin. I have searched the forums with no luck. I have TurboGrafx 16 running in Hyperspin but I have 2 problems. 1) How do I switch to fullscreen and keep it fullscreen forever more. 2) Is there anyway to keep the controller mapping settings. how do I make it where hyperspin runs before windows starts? I wanna be able to turn on the computer, and after it gets past the loading bar screen, boot directly into hyperspin. then when I click esc and yes to exit, It can boot into windows. right now I have it setup to auto boot after windows starts by placing a shortcut in the startup folder of the start menu. but that loads after everything else finishes loading in windows and takes alot longer. lol btw, im running windows vista home premium if that matters
