Hi everyone! So, i've taken a good few months out from doing my Hyperspin system as I've been spending the time instead designing my side art for my actual cabinet. That is now off at the printers (yay!) so i'm back to Hyperspin... Turns out, much of my knowledge on how to do things has evaporated Thankfully, most of the systems are already set up, and I remember how to sort through the artwork etc. BUT (and here is the question) - what I want to do is create a separate, main wheel entry, for Light Gun games. I'm using Xarcade setup ( so close to rewiring going with I-PAC 2 ). But when people play games like street fighter or other fighting games and get into button mashing MAME will close or min minimize. So on screen it's back on Hyperspin and you can hear the game still playing over the speakers. Is it some hotkey issue or something? The setup at the moment Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey everyone, I have assembled some useful Windows Batch Files to help with the automatic zipping for roms and other tasks. To create the .bat file simply create a text document within Windows and name it what you would like and make sure the extension is .bat Then you want to right click and press 'edit' in order to add text to the document. Simply copy and paste one of the following code and save it. By default windows doesnt normally allow you to see extensions of known file types so you may have to do a quick Google Search on how to show file extensions on all files If you would like to change the compression type to either 7z or zip, simply replace the …

for some reason when I try to click on a nes or snes game in hyperspin it wont go into the game. Mame works perfectly fine. Everything work well in rocketlauncher. I also get no error messages when clicking on a nes or snes game. The extensions are set in hyperhq and I also have the path of the roms. I cant figure this out.

My I first ADD WOW to this. so impressed with the development of this. I am going to be creating a arcade cabinet. started to gather materials to do this. I have just started to create the hyper spin set up. Hopefully this will be my last newb question for a while. I've gotten the trackball to work within mame, I've gotten highscores to save, I've figured out how to sort by letter. Now next on my list is to change the look by installing a new theme. I downloaded one from here HyperSpin Redesign - Chicuelo (20130727). I dont' see any guides on how to make these work so I'm a little lost on how to go about it. Do I need to download any artwork or anything? I've not yet donated here and emumovies but I do plan to in order to use hypersync. Hi All, I have downloaded ScummVM, its all setup in Hyper HQ & Hyperlaunch, ive downloaded brokensword 1, game found in hyperlaunch. Problem is I cant get it working in the ScummVM emulator first? can anyone help. What format should the game / file be in? When I open scummvm it wont let me click on any of the game files, what should the main game file be? Really appreciate any help thanks

Hi All I hope you can help. I'm having some issues getting mame (uifx 153) to launch with scanlines, they work fine when launch from mame but not when using hyperspin Mame games look different, it appears that hyperspin isn't using the mame.ini. *Please not this is just the scanline artwork and not HLSL or GLSL as my rig is not capable of running these modes. Thanks in advance for any guidance you can offer.

Hello, I am interested in starting a new project. I have a Seagate 4TB external hard drive I want to reformat with FAT32 so I can use it with WiiFlow on Nintendo Wii and also use HyperSpin on PC at the same time. This way, I believe I would only need one set of roms and possibly art. I believe I will need two sets of emulators so I can setup the controls separately on both (PC xbox 360 conrollers) (Wii wiimotes/gamecube controllers) I plan on using everything in the default wiiflow folders and then use RLauncher to route everything in the Wiiflow folders for HyperSpin. Obviously I will use the Wii Backup manager for wbfs for backups of my wii games to keep it u…

Has HyperHQ become redundant, may sound like a stupid question but it has ceased to work on my PC, will not launch. Did a search but cannot find much info on it. It had been working fine. I have windows 7 64bit, all updates installed and latest drivers.

Apologize for my ignorance. Still learning tons about Hyperspin, but I am quite lost with how everything ties together. I did become a paid member here and at emumovies to get HyperSync going and I have my MAME setup working quite well with RocketLauncher. I have menu wheel artwork, videos, etc. However, I'm trying to add a few PC games to Hyperspin and am not sure the best way to get that done. Hi all, I have a 2 player cabinet that I built and I quite like playing Gauntlet on it. However, I can only pick the first 2 characters (Warrior and Wizard I think is the other one). I wondered if there's a way to 'switch' the controls so I can start with Valkyrie or Elf? Is this possible? Sorry if this is a daft question and thanks for any help you can give me. Cheers :-)

So after using Don's ROM Renamer to audit most of my games, there were about 70 missing. I didn't really want those 70 in the romset anyway so I deleted the .7z files from the ROM location and replaced them with the .nes files from my temporary folder. After that, I went back to RLauncher UI and for some reason, after even rebooting and performing multiple system audits, it still sees those games in that folder and says they're still missing. What's going on? How can I get these games to be recognised? What exactly is RLauncher UI seeing and how can I fix it? Please, I really need help, so some would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!!~

Hello everyone, I have a quick question, im not sure if this has been posted before or not so i figured id try my luck and post about it on my own. Ok, so i am running hyperspin with mame and retroarch (the build followed my austins videos) and i use a xbox 360 controller for all my games. I have NES SNES genesis mame GBA gamegear and N64 set up. Everything is running through retroarch except for Mame. Now that you know my setup im looking to find a way to save games after launching in hyperspin. is there anyway to set that up so i can save and load my states. I'm not sure where to ask this so I hope it's okay here. Can somebody who is familiar with the Famicom Disk System games answer this question - I see the current No-intro set for the FDS has almost 100 games that are marked bad. From everything I have been told, No-Intro sets only contain good dumps, no bad ones. Yet that doesn't seem to be the case at all, at least not for the FDS. Some of those games aren't marked as bad in the Tosec set for FDS. Is the Hyperspin XML for the FDS based on No-Intro? Because my FDS set checks out 100% with the latest Hyperlist DAT, yet if it's based on No-Intro, wouldn't that mean many of them were marked as bad? Most of the g…

Hi there, I have a cabinet that I've built and Mame is working brilliantly through Hyperspin (along with a few others... Future Pinball, Daphne etc). I would love to play some old spectrum games that I bought years ago. I tried to play Atic Atac the other day and, apart from having to use the keyboard to press "0" to start, the rest of the game played well with the joystick and buttons on the cab. However, I then tried to play Jetpac and it wouldn't work at all. Is there a way to set up the games so that I can play them through the cabinet. How do other people do it? Hi, I'm having an issue where some Taito Type X games are minimizing to the taskbar when launched in Hyperspin. Some examples are: Chaos Breaker and KOF '98UM. All of the games launch and exit perfectly in Rocketlauncher and on their own. I'm thinking this is maybe a switching resolution issue in HS, and something simple, but I just can't figure it out. I am running Hyperspin 1.4.16 at 1024x768. I also don't see anything weird in the log about the crashing. Other info: I have GTX 750ti and have a HP LP2065 monitor Any help or advice is truly appreciated.

Hey guys, how are you? As the title says, is it possible to shuffle themes (in my case, will be for systems)? Or maybe the artwork inside of them? I have a lot of artwork for my systems themes, and I would love for those to be random (on each HS launch, to have different Artwork1 or 2 showing up for my systems). Can this be done? Thanks!

I've just overcome some teething issues getting Hyperspin to run on my set up at home. The root of the cause turned out to be ArcadeVGA display drivers, the symtom? Game intro videos showing up as green screens and then the Hyperspin frontend crashing immediately. At any rate, I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and I have been struggling with HyperSpin all day because I thought there was some sort of set up or software problem.
