I bought a Seagate Backup Plus 5tb drive to do this, but so far I'd say it's a slow piece of ****. So I'm looking for advice on the best way to do it. What/how do you guys back up your own drives? In my case it would need to be external usb 3.0 since I have no way to add more internal drives.

Hello there, HyperSpin Community! I am new here and i am not sure if this is the right place to ask questions like this. BTW, sorry for my awful English. I am trying to add some CD systems to my HyperSpin but the emulators (Or modules) just don't want to work correctly. Firstly i tried to emulate PC-FX and TurboGrafx-CD via mednafen, but it says that games are too big. Then i tried more specialized emulator - Magic Engine FX. But this one don't even want to see games and when i try to launch game through RocketLauncher it just opens itself. Almost same problem i have with Neo Geo CD. I am trying to use Raine64 but is shows a lot of errors with missing files and then c…

This is the third KS project by Nicola Caulfield & Anthony Caulfield, I have backed From Bedrooms to Billions and From Bedrooms to Billions the Amiga Years and can vouch for the quality of both productions. So if you have any interest in the history of video games then please go and back it now, well worth it. There are still some early bird slot left and the cheapest pledge to get a digital copy of the film is £10, bargain. Cheers Giga https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1195082866/from-bedrooms-to-billions-the-playstation-revoluti

Hey guys, So im about to buy an i7 6700 processor, with hopes to build my own gaming pc piece by piece. My question is, what is a good motherboard to go with that? Or is that processor not a good choice for a gaming pc? I know most of you guys on this site a very tech savvy, so I figure this would be a good place to ask thanks guys, Caleb.,

Not the biggest deal from a security standpoint as it's very tricky to exploit, but to be safe everyone should update their version of 7-zip (7z) to at least version 16.0 and recompress all 7z files with the patched version. http://www.zdnet.com/article/severe-7-zip-vulnerabilities-cause-top-security-software-tools-patch-panic/ http://www.bit-tech.net/news/bits/2016/05/12/7-zip-vulnerabilities/1 http://betanews.com/2016/05/16/7-zip-major-vulnerabilities/ This is one bad side effect from open source. When something is popular the bad guys pour through the code for ways to exploit it.

Anyone run into this malware? I'm having a heck of a time trying to get my arcade up and running again......I wasted around 10 hours reinstalling HS and Windows the first time I had it.....had mame all setup, was working on hyper marquee and malware bytes said it blocked a malware attempt like 3 times in a row then bang I noticed some files were renamed to .crypt and encrypted.......any foolproof way to keep this virus away? I noticed that it happened as soon as I tethered my iPhone and am wondering if my carriers network is spreading this crap.....I think this time I'm just going to download everything on my MacBook and transfer to the arcade through external drives.....…

Hey guys I'm wondering about what types of pc's you run in your cab? I've had my cab for years but interested in building a HS specific pc... Rock solid with NOTHING else on it. Anybody have ideas? I've never seen the guts of the "high end" cabinet makers and what they use for their pc's and controllers. For me currently , just a tankstick and cabinet basic PC. But now that I know my system in and out, would like to upgrade. I've noticed on some cab's that people commercially make, you don't even see windows running.... Everything HS related is accessible with button commands???

Well looks like it takes the users Hyperspin and does what is should be doing. Nice to see some devs working and advancing things. Should be a snazzy little thing to try out. Hats off to them if it does what it says on the tin, although my French is terrible anyone translate ?? I have also been told scrapers are being made too. Sooo much good news right now

After mostly completing my Hyperspin setup I figured I would move on to a virtual pinball machine. I figured get a cheap pinball gut it throw some monitors, speakers and a computer in it and life would be great! I had the opportunity to attend a arcade auction and figured, hey I would get something cheap and if I could score a Theatre of Magic (my all time fav) I would do that too. Well I did not do enough research and the auction was not one I was use to and you could not view the machines you were bidding on ahead of time the day of the auction, which was a bummer. The day before you could go to where the machines were and view them (I had to work so that was a no g…

This device comes with Windows 10, has a built in joypad with analogs and keyboard (analog right thumb can be used in mouse mode as well). Might make a good portable hyperspin setup.

Has anyone tried to get things like SiriusXm (Canada) to work as a launcher? Currently, I have a pinned tab in Chrome that autologs-in- but I wouldn't want all my other tabs to open (treat it like a dedicated session). Exitting chrome would also be interestingly accomplished. Steam and Kodi don't really seem to work with my setup for some reason, either. Steam Big Picture _will_ load, some days. It takes it's sweet time (up to 20 minutes, when I forgot I launched it and am doing something completely different). Kodi? Nope. I've been mucking about and trying to find where I went wrong, but seem to have something set wrong in my settings. TLDR; want a dedicate…

I'm using my dolhinbar in mode 3 (gamepad mode) to play Wind Waker using dolphin. I have to put it in mode 3 before I start the game or dolphin won't see the controller. Is there a way to keep the controller listed in dolphin even when it's not in mode 3?

So if anyone seen my post about the xp i brought well its givin me more fits then it was worth good thing i only paid 25 dollars for it, i would be hpaay if i could get ahold of the person that had the disc they use to set it up inititially but i assume pigs would rather fly. so i used a pirarated xp disc to because alot of the programs and what nto that came with pc was was not familiar to with me, that just made the pc mad so i decided to take the hard drive out after i zeroed it, the serial ata cables, and the cmos battery which was pretty new and the ram and get my vista running again. So i get everything back in the vista to include the original hard drive and…

Hey lads. Do you listen to electronic music? Do you like to find new stuff? Well I do too. So I figured why not have a music topic on the forums to kill bits of free time. : ) Drum n Bass, electro, techno, rave, progressive, trance, synthwave, house, everything will do. I encourage to share your new discoveries, old musical loves and favorite tracks. : D I'll start with some 80s vibes, both literally and metaphorically. The drivers to install an Xbox One controller to the PC have been released. They will be pushed out in a future Windows update or you can manually download them here. The site indicates to use it plug in the controller via USB. Does not mention anything about wireless connectivity. From what I understand the Xbox One controller uses Bluetooth so it shouldn't depend on any proprietary adapters like the X360 did. Would love to hear from anyone who gets this working, wired or wireless. Note that this controller is supposed to be compatible with all existing PC games that support the X360 controller. I would hope this would mean swapping it in and out of my Hyperspin setup sh…
