A post from arcade controls yesterday a guy said he got his code emailed to him after payment guess maximus arcade is still alive. I was a maximus user many years ago. But since discovered hyperspin there is no going back, I just hope hyperspin is supported for many more years to come and won't suffer same fate as maximus arcade

Not sure if this has been discussed or anything but how come there are so many people on YouTube and such selling a "service"(precompiled hard drives) with hyperspin on it? Is this a popular/profitable thing, getting people to do everything for you? Where is the sense of achievement with that :l

Kinda getting tired of it and I know for a fact people feel weird when they call me "Hunk" lol it's a reference to the 4TH survivor mini game in Resident Evil 2 where you play as Hunk. Hello everyone. I normally don't go about throwing my personal business on the intarwebz, but there are quite a few of you that I feel I know/knew fairly well over the years minus the last two or so, and a few of you that I know/knew before HS. I started out here making a few MAME themes, which I was very proud to see are now a part of HyperSync. I also made a few other random things whenever I had the time. i was just testing controls after an upgrade to my cab! the Atari 2600 controls got stuffed up some how. i decided to test it with a random game. i used x-man, too my surprise i see this sprite which looks like a man sprite with an erection. ive had to remove it. lol got a 3 year old that plays my cab.

So I think its about time to replace my p1 p2 joysticks. Some of the dudes at work playing KoF13 and SSF4 have been working those sticks to death. p1 joy is just super loose, and looking under the CP, theres all kinds of powdered plastic dust from where the d clip at the bottom of the stick is rubbing the restriction plate. My cp is 3/4 ply so I need to find a long shaft joystick that I can replace it with. I'd like to find a nicer one. I just bought the cheap 10 dollar zippy ball tops. Any suggestions? I'd like to not have to modify the cp if at all possible.

Just thought I'd share my latest littile build i did. It's full fledged gaming machine in an NES cart I took an NES cart and modified it. Then took a raspberry pi and removed some components to shrink it down. Soldered some new USB ports to fit in the cart, and bypassed the micro usb power port so it can be plugged in the front. Cut some slots for hdmi and a place in the back to remove the SD card if ever needed.

With the PD event coming up next week I'm in the market for a HDD newegg has the 3tb WD green drives on sale. I know their a slower drive and go to sleep frequently. Does anyone have any experience using them in a Hyperspin setup? All of my media is stored on a SSD. I wonder if I would be better off to get a 4 Tb WD elements external drive for about the same price and decase it.

I normally do not make threads like this but I really have to vent this out because it's to the point where it's funny. So in this hobby, we all can admit that when we build a cab, we spend money. Then we spend the time learning Hyperlaunch, HS, ledblinky, all so we can have the best experience for ourselves and family and friends correct? Or am I the only one?
