hi all this is my second build, for a time back i make a pinball arcade with future pinball, now i have vacation. I want to make a arcade bartop with the buttons from the pinball build and i buy 2 joysticks this all for my 2 lovely kids. I just recently purchased a very nice Gauntlet machine that is in pretty good shape and am very satisfied with it....but of course there is always the desire for more. The monitor has some burn which is not a major issue since I can replace it with an lcd monitor. That said I am curious if it is possible to pull out the Atari bezel and put in a full sized screen that fits nice and flush with the dimensions it could potentially hold. Specifically 23 1/2" long by 20" tall. I know, it could be a tall order, but it would be pretty cool in there.....and look awesome. As it stands there is a Game Elf 620 board which has some nice ga…

What's up guys! So I'm happy to say I got my tekken retro fitted and working flawlessly in my place of work. Now onto to my next idea and was wondering if anyone has tried this out yet. has anyone tried doing a complete mobile mame arcade setup? I'm not saying like controller only. Hi all !!!! first of all a want to thank all the hyperspin community for all the info shared... plans... media... wheels etc... i started this project on my pc at home... so when i realized that the hyperspin was getting all space on my hard drive i decided to rebuild an old trash arcade into something new. this was my first attempt.. some little mistakes was made such work with plexiglass, but after 2 attemps i got it!!! So i decided to modify lot of things and create a hyperspin theme. In theses photos you can see all the proccess. thanks all !!!

I am looking for a USB bulkhead. I plan to build a console with the computer inside, so I would like to extend the USB from the box through the sidewall of the console for accessories. The ones I find don't have the connection I want. I want a USB A from the computer to a pass through fitting with another USB A. If you have some suggestions, I would appreciate it. Thanks

Hey everyone, Here is my new project. I found this at a local hardware store. It was used years ago as the cabinet that held the paint matching computer and monitor. I saw it in the back with a bunch of other junk and the owner said that I could just take it. The guys there used a forklift to get it in my truck. It will sit in my shed for a bit while I finish some other work in our house. Thanks for checking it out!

Hello everybody. I've been doing a ton of research for a hyperspin arcade cabinet build and I have the cabinet design down but I am struggling with the pc build. I will be running Hyperspin along with emulators for Atari classics, NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, & PS1. Maybe a little PS2, Gamecube, & Wii as well. I am getting one of these: Xtension Sit Down Pro Arcade Machine "Emulator Edition" for the kids downstairs. It comes with their Xtension Two Player Control Board "Emulator Edition". Looks like will work with MAME right out of the box. My question is if anyone else has this controller and if so how easy to setup for RetroArch and other EMUs?

Hi All. Whilst I know how to disable the default wheel sounds whilst scrolling through the wheels I wanted to ask if anyone was aware a less annoying sound pack. Whilst the sounds that come with hyperspin are cool they do get on my nerves after a while. Anyone aware of any sound files a little more subtle? Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Finally have a chance to try and finish my marquee (after years of using a faded MAME one). Been using photoshop 9 CS2 which has Imageready and I'm ok at doing most this in PS but can't seem to grasp the vector graphics part. This is probably the first time I'm using VG. I have an idea I want to go with, which is something like "Arcade Time Machine" but written in the Back to the Future font. Not sure If I want to add anything else from BTTF. Anyway, here is what I have so far...let me know what you think add change move...etc... And this time I'd like to incorporate HyperSpin somewhere in it. My neighbor gave me an empty cabinet he had stored outside under an awning for quite a long time. It is not in the best shape but I figured its free so I might as well do something with it. My plan is to build a super cheap MAME cabinet to keep in my garage for when I have company over. I have a Intel NUC I plan on using to power it. Had it laying around and seems to do just fine. Purchased some buttons and an I-Pac controller to use as controls. I plan on expanding the control panel at some point. Im more focused on getting it setup and working at the moment. hey guys im going to try to make this as easy to understand as i can. I'm a bit confused by the I/o led section. I have daisy chained my positives all around the panel and pinned into the first "+" on the I/0. No problem there. I have 6 blue player one buttons, and 6 red player 2 buttons. 2 white/2green/2yellow up top for admins/coin etc. I am confused how to run single colour led's on the board so I can properly run led blinky. The board is being weird. The first row, where the daisy chained positive is channeled to the first"+" pin, pins 1,2,3 light up p1 buttons 1,2,3. Nothing wrong there. Second row, only pin 4 works (R)…

My brother-in-law came across a MegaTouch XL Cabaret that looks like this: It is in fair shape at best (Was left in the snow recently) so repairing it is out of the question. hey guys quick question not sure if im posting this correctly. so im working on my arcade and i bought a button setup from gameroomsolutions which came with a xin mo i have everything configured as far as hypserspin and hyperlaunch. now my issue is xin mo to mame. only real issue is the player start and player select/coin ive gone and edited all within mame and such but no success. heres what im doing (which works but its a longggggg process) basically i go within each game, edit the control for "this machine" then exit the game; this creates the cfg file, then i go to the cfg file and make it "read only".…

As the title suggests I'm now in the developing stages of building my first pedestal cabinet but before I go full at it i have a question. I'm hoping to have 4 xbox pads for 4 players (recessed bays to sit them in) two wii remotes,trackball,spinner and custom arcade controls that will sit inside cabinet and fix on top when playing fighting/mame games with all these controls is this possible or am I dreaming too hard?

Just finished my 4-5 month bartop cab project (Just doing some software tweaks and making sure everything works) All in all, I'm pretty happy how it turned out (It went through a LOT of iterations...it was initially meant to be a TMNT inspired cab lol. I made a few mistakes due to not building anything since I was playing around with technic lego decades ago, like putting hinges on the outside of the door (had this idea at the end of putting everything together and couldn't be bothered to take it apart to install the hinges lol) but I'm happy. Hello there. Not exactly a cabinet itself but I have a lot of (noob) questions on lightguns for gun games. 1) I suppose I should setup the WoW ActionMax wheel, since these games are for lightguns, correct? 2) Which lightguns should I use/where to buy? I would like to avoid wiimotes and have a gun instead in my hand even if it's toylike. 3) How do these work with a LCD screen? Where should I put the lightbar, considering I'm running my Hyperspin Box on a 60" inch screen? Below it? 4) Which emulators support these lightguns?
