Hey, just wanted to show you my ongoing project. It's my first cabinet, but i enjoyed the process so im already thinking of doing one more it the same style (maybe Popeye, not too many of those around). It's not that important to me to make 100% accurate replicas. For instance, i didn't have white T-molding but i did have some chrome, so i went for it. Im currently working on the Hyperspin setup as well as some finishing cosmetic touches like a Coindoor Inside sits a i5 with 6 GB RAM and a GTX 560. The monitor is a 19" LCD, with an SLG3000 Scanline generator. I have 4 hidden buttons under the front panel for enter, esc and coin 1 & 2.

First of all, hello everyone! So as the title says, I've decided to create my own cab from scratch. Since I've never had too much experience with cabs I did a lot of research for the last couple of days. To my understanding Sanwa is the way to go regarding sticks and buttons but the prices of genuine Sanwa parts are too steep for my budget (I'm from Bosnia so you can probably imagine that budget is TIGHT). I've looked around on ebay and there are plenty of 2 player Sanwa lookalike (fakes) kits that would cover all my needs, but I'm afraid I will be disappointed with the playing experience/responsiveness etc. Can anyone who had some experience with that kind of parts sh…

Ok, so I posted a question if I should get a used Xion Ba cabinet to rebuild it to a Hyperspin cabinet. I got the cab for 150€, not bad i suppose. The cabinet is in pretty good shape and i actually like the size and model of it. I can sit in front of it on normal chairs and the screen is pretty big. So I'm starting a project thread on this mostly because I have really no idea about what I'm supposed to do with this. I'm no arcade guy to start with. My wife is actually more of the gamer in our house. I guess it's a good combination, I like working on stuff like consoles, computers and she likes to use them, its a win win situation I picked up the cabinet earlier today …

Hello everyone My name is Alicia deBoer and I am hoping one of you wonderful guys can help me. My best friend, who I love more than anything in the world purchased a Legends 1 Arcade cabinet after New Years. He purchased Hyperspin a week and a half ago. We can not find anyone in our area that can help him install it . As you can probably imagine, he has had his heart set on this for months. I have some techie friends and a friend that works on gaming machines (soldering boards etc.) but no one that can get this done for him. I have looked high and low on the internet, called the local guy that's supposed to be THE man to call.......I am at a loss. I would like to find so…

Hello... I've a trouble about setting my CRT cabinet to remove stuttering sound and tearing in scrolling games (fix with Vsync enabled on .ini files) I've find good solution with MAMEUIFX, but when select (from GUI) Synchronize audio with video, this worked only if play a game through GUI, when launching game from Hyperspin (HLHQ) back to stutter. My settings are: OLD CRT 15Hz arcade monitor + ArcadeVGA 5000 + Ultimarc Driver + Win 7 64bit + Good PC Any other settings, good for arcade feeling, are welcome (only for mame emu)

Hey all. Just wondering if anyone has or has seen a cab with a smaller LCD in the CP for card directions and such? With small LCDs being so cheap and dual monitors not being much of an issue why not? Also not sure how to get HS to display this on the 2nd monitor during play.. Thoughts?

Hi, I'm trying to reproduce the Taito Letters for my arcade side art. I cannot find any HQ image online. I'm about to do it manually in Illustrator, but I want to ask you guys before if someone has already done it for a game, cab, Wheel art, theme, etc. If someone knows the name of that Font, that would be even better. Thanks

I bought this shirt at Burlington Coat factory for $8.99! It came with this tiny little sticker. Now it's on my cabinet. It's like 2 gifts for the price of one!

Hi all I'm just starting my first bartop arcade cabinet, based on the Degenatrons mod of the Weecade. Is it possible to bottom mount the joysticks without using a bolt through the CP. The cabinet is made from 12mm MDF and I would prefer to have a smooth top on the CP. Thanks

Guys I have a burning desire to build another arcade machine, but could never justify another cab in the house, so I'm toying with the idea of building a large 4 player control panel with a pc inside which you just place on a coffee table and plug into the tv. I've seen loads of control panels that are usb but none that have pc's inside. I'm thinking something like this There would be a small draw with a hdmi and power cable. And a handle to carry it round. Portable gaming!! What do you think?

Hi, My girlfriend studies architecture and they got a cnc thing there, and she said she'd help me with it. So I've been looking for plan on the net that would suit my needs without much success. My needs are: bartop for 2 players 6 button hori style, pinball buttons, 19" lcd. The best plans I did find, are degenatrons's version 2.1 bartop(http://coinopsproject.freeforums.org/bartop-kit-cnc-plans-t1038.html), but they are made 17". Any tips?

Hello mighty cab builders! To start with I'm not a big cab player. Finland never seem to have been a big arcade country so I haven't even heard about most of the MAME games everyone is talking about. I have built two HS systems so far, one inside a NES box with 4 different kinds of controllers and one generic computer case with some PS3 controllers. Recently I saw some old arcade cabs in a bar nearby and they just looked so awesome I started thinking of getting one myself. First I started looking for company's selling used and scrap cabs to get into the hobby right away. But I didn't get any answers form the companies and all the working cabs where around 1000€ upward…

Hello, I've finally decided to build a 4-player MAME-like cabinet running Hyperspin (Can't wait to get the family together for the classics like Mario Kart 64 and Mario party). Planning on having systems up to PS2 and Wii (maybe even some new PC games). So, considering it's a 4-player cabinet, what monitor size do you recommend? I was I have a spare 24" 1080p BenQ, but I'm not sure if 24" is big enough for 4 players? I was planning on using something like this for the controls: http://pokit.org/get/?1b5f6cbfc7df88cf8a3087e4f01f0d00.jpg Is it possible to also use a PS2 controller for the PS1/PS2 emulation, if the game requires more buttons than available on the this c…

OK, so here is where I stand. I've got a Galaga Cabinet with a 60 in 1 Jamma board installed. Cabinet has a Lenovo LCD Monitor installed VERTICALLY. I've got Hyperspin with Mame and Daphne systems functional on my desktop PC (just tweaking at this point) I've upgraded to a platinum membership and HyperSync is currently doing it's thing for all media. Current plan: I'm going to pick up a used 3GHZ Core 2 Duo E8400 Desktop PC with 4GB ram running Windows 7 64 bit tomorrow. I've got a third button ordered for the cabinet. I'm going to order a J-Pac device I'm going to pay for a membership with emu movies and let HyperSync download all the videos Concerns: Am I goi…

[X-Posted to /r/Hyperspin, /r/Mame, /r/Cade, hyperspin-fe.com and emumovies.com] Hi Everyone, I have been gearing up to begin my first 2 player cabinet construction in the coming months and I guess this is my introductory posting to say hello and to express my enthusiasm at joining the hobby. This is going to be a long one so bear with me, please, I’ll try and make reading it as easy as possible. I have crossed posted this to other forums and sub-reddits to scoop a wider range of opinion. I apologise if this offends, it is not my intention just starting out and trying to garner knowledge from people wiser than I on the subject. I’ll highlight all my questions in bold-…

Hi, does anyone know, if the Samsung SyncMaster 214T monitor automatically powers on, if the AC is restored? Or do you have to push the power button on the front each time? I'm looking for an screen upgrade from 19'' to 21'' for my cab and need a monitor which powers on when AC is restored. Thx and greetings, Duglim

This is a project I took on. I traded about 15 Super Nintendo Games for the cabinet. It was already setup with a laptop with Mame and Mala front end and a Xin-Mo two player board. I gutted it and after lots of hard work now have a new pc in it running Hyperspin. Anyone able to tell me the origin of this cabinet. I've tried to find some info on it but can't find any pics of a Neo Geo with chrome t-molding on it. Still a work in progress.
