Hi there! Im thinking of making a hyperspin cabinet but i have alot of questions. I want basically everything so im thinkinng of buying a 16tb NAS to store everything. Would i be able to use the nas in different computers? So basically the cabinet would play general games but still having acess to everything and i could play for example wii u on my bedroom. Would a g4560 and a 1050ti hold um majority of the games? Doesnt need to run on max, as this is the system im going to put in a cabinet. Also how much time would it take to basically fill all the 16tb? Like 1 month? I was also thinking of buying pre configured from a guy called **** ***** but i heard he…

just finished graphics and installing Hyperspin on my pedestal. I added a power button on the front for the computer and have 8 usb ports (4 on the front and 4 on the side. I also added the power button and ethernet port (just in case). It's hard to see, but on the sides I cut clear acrylic and put vinyl stickers of mario, sonic and mortal kombat (black vinyl). it was a fun build. I only need to get my controls to work properly through HyperHQ, Rockerlaucher and Joytokey. Everything else works great.

First of all let me apologize if I am posting this question in the wrong subsection Let me first explain what I want to do.....I am building an arcade game cabinet and I would like to use LED Blinky for accent lighting, None of the buttons on my control panel will light up. LED Blinky does have one function I do want for MAME and that is, it announces the name of the game. This is something that I will incorporate into my cabinet. In my game cabinet I have a jukebox program and I want to use LED Blinky for accent lighting using RGB tape light as seen below in my pictureIn the next picture is how I want the RGBLED tape lights to be locatedI think the setting “color intensit…

Hi all, I wanted to share my recent build with Hyperspin frontend. I bought a used Dynamo Showcase HS-15 cabinet with a 34" monitor, marquee and a Tsumo Mega Kit in it. The monitor needed some adjustment but it was working, it probably still could use a cap kit. The cabinet included a Ultracade VGA converter and 2.5mm audio amplifier which made hooking up the PC easy. The control panel I ordered a kit from Monster Arcades (I know, I took the easy way out). It came with two Minipac encoders. I got the control panel overlay, cabinet decals and marquee from Game On Grafix. For the PC I bought a used Dell Optiplex 7010 small form factor w/ Core i5 347…

EDIT: Go here to see progress of the build... http://www.flickr.com/photos/sorhp/sets/72157629793066224/ I have to give a shout out to Koolbrez! and RidicRick! dude your'e nintendo vs theme was the inspiration behind this build, it took over a year, and I almost didn't finish it, I put the cab in storage for 6 months, and then one day I was back in HS and played some Rush-n-Attack in your Nintendo theme, and it brought me back to wanting to finish this cab, even though there are several mis-cuts on the wood and the design I had in mind never seemed quite right when I started to get things put together, I actually went back to the drawing board several times during the…

in the research/planning stages of building my first cabinet a pinball one and want to know what size screen you all recommend to go with for the playfield? Also is it better to go smaller and go for a higher quality/name-brand screen? any specific specs I should look for in a tv? I assume 1080p is enough? Any other advice or cabinet plans? I live in Israel and unfortunately getting parts is hard here unless I pay crazy shipping an customs

Hi, New to the forum. Just built a cabinet for the family for xmas and very excited to get it up and running. It looks great however I'm at the point where I need to finish the control panel and get it up and running and gotta admit I'm kind of out of my league. LOL. So I have a few questions. 1. I installed a suzohapp joystick with the microswitches on the bottom. One of the joysticks i noticed isn't completely depressing the microchip on bottom or it isn't clicking completely. Not sure if that means its not going to work? Also don't really understand the difference between 4 way vs. 8 way. Is that something that will affect the games I w…

Hello everyone. First time poster here. I recently built my first bartop arcade and am slowly putting together hyperspin. I've run into a bit of a snag with Retroarch however. When launching RA through HP to play some PSX games I'll get an .exe error with RA. This only happens on certain games. Others launch correctly. If I launch the problem games directly from Rocket Launcher they run fine? So the issue is somewhere in Hyperspin. Is it an issue in the .ini? Something to do with the RA module? I'm running RA 1.1. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I managed to get this to work with one player via IPAC keyboard controllers but the game doesn't allow you to map a 2nd player with keyboard. I tried looking into xbox360ce etc. to see if I could get them to work but had no luck. Has anybody had any luck getting this to work on their setup? I was thinking about trying a PAC LINK adapter but wasn't sure if that would be what I need.

Can someone please tell me how to map / configure a logitech mom racing wheel so i can use the foot pedals etc on all emulators in Hyperspin? I plugged everything in an with zero mapping i can use the wheel but the accelerator never works (I might have to use the buttons on the arcade. I know I need to do something in Rocketlauncher then key mapper but not too sure how. Any help is greatly appreciatedl -Sheineken

Was looking to build this first before discovering the whole MAME/VP World, but ended up building the Mame & Pinball Cabinets First. I have not had my G27 Racing wheel out since October, and I think now is the time to build this rig here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Collapsible-Gaming-Cockpit/ I am going to modify it slightly to accommodate for the gear shifter, but still have it fold down for storage. Will update soon with images and measurements as I go along. Draft Plans:

Trying to sort something out and hoping someone here can help. I have an older Arcade Emulator cabinet that was running MAME on an old PC. I've now upgraded to a newer PC (w/ Win 10) and have put Hyperspin, Rocketlauncher, etc on this new PC and everything is working great. But when I plug it into my cabinet TV (via VGA) the resolution (frequency) is out of range. I get an initial boot screen where I see the Dell logo and everything is fine but then the monitor (TV) says '48.1 kHz/59.7 Hz Freq out of Range. Try other resolutions.' I have a Geforce video card in there and tried creating a custom resolution (640x480, 50Hz) setting but that didn't …

Hi to all! Great community here, it's nice to be a part of it! I always wanted an arcade cab to play my favorite arcade and console classic games. I'm not very strong in carpentry, so I'm not ready yet to build an arcade cab, but I tried to make at least a controller for playing with friends. And now it's time to learn to set up a Hyperspin Do not judge strictly, this is my first experience. Thank you Prototype: Let's do it

Hi Guys, It's been a few years since I worked on the Lego Batpin virtual pinball cabinet, and I was getting the itch to build something new. I went back and forth on the different styles of arcade cabinets out there. Full size, bartop, pedestal, etc... I finally decided on a pedestal after seeing the X-arcade / Funglo pedestal. I really liked the look and design of the cabinet. Whatever I ended up building, would also have to double as my VR machine as well, and the pedestal seem to be the perfect fit for that. Before buying anything, I had to see if I could figure out how to build this thing based off just a couple of pictures I could find out there on the…
