Is there a way to set up hyperspin so when you run a particular system it will shut down xpadder or disable it. In my xbmc settings in hyperlaunchhq, i have expadder set to false but its not disabling it.

Hi Everyone, So I am new to all of this as of about a month ago. Before that I never had hyperspin or my arcade I have now. So cheers to that and the great work everyone on here has put on here to give us such a great experience. Now I would like to get VP working in Hyperspin. I have followed the installation guides on VP and the program works with the few tables I started with on their VP9 latest software. How do I get it going through Hyperspin? I haven't seen anyone really posting any artwork or a how to guide on this. Seems like just about everything else is talked about. So can anyone show me where I can start? i am currently doing my build and am getting my library up and organized and the such and i have a very extensive 360 collection my buddy has found a emulator for 360 which he swears by i am wondering if anyone has dabbeled in this particular one or can recommend one possibly i am aiming right now to get off the disk and full digital for a true all in one system =) my other questions would be that if i can do this build would it be advised to store all roms and emulators on a dedicated raid nas system or hdd with backup harddrive? again first build first thread so please be gentle and if i have broken any rules by asking please advise me on what i broke so i can learn t…

Hi Everyone, So I built a 4 player arcade cabinet and am newer to all this. It all started with my father wanting to buy me a 30th birthday present which was a dream arcade. I looked at it online and with research told him no way.... Let me build it and get the better components and a full size cab etc. With that said a month later I have a full running mame cab built to my liking with everything I could want. My only dislike about the whole unit so far is running some 4 way and 8 way games. Hi All, Anyone help me out with this one I am running HS on an Arcade monitor at 15Khz, GroovyMAME, VMMaker set to 90 resolutions. When I start HS all's well, I go in MAME wheel and load a game, no problem. I exit the game back to HS and no other game in the list will load until I reboot. Also sometimes when I select a game it reboots the PC almost like I have hit the reset button? Any ideas?

I think this is impossible, but I'll ask anyway. Is it possible to display the MAME or MESS menu (Tab key) on a second screen? The reason I ask is that, on my 2 monitor system, my main game screen is a rotating screen so I can choose the best rotation orientation based on vertical or horizontal games. When I load the menu for a 90 degree rotated game, the menu is not rotated which leads to a neck cramp while I configure. I'd like to be able to display this menu on the marquee second screen since that never rotates. Alternately, I guess another question would be to see if rotating the menu itself was possible, but only for those games which I have set to rotate. I'm …

Hi all, I have managed to get the bulk working however Super Nes is a pain in my butt. I bought a new computer for sole use as a hyperspin machine. I tried the following emulators: zSNES - it loads but man does it lag on load. higan - hyperspin cannot find a config file (higan does not have the file hyperspin is looking for Bsnes - tries to boot but nothing. Assistance would be greatly appreciated as i spent the day downloading every game and renaming for hyperspin. Kind regards CJ

So im installing MAME the nonag+ from ftp and upon adding games through audit or adding directories Mame crashes and gives me a error message stating that the application has requested to terminate the program in an unusual way, this is new (to me) and i havent found really anything matching in the search option. Im sorry if this has already been answered. Oh crap, i also think i posted this in the wrong area can a Mod move it. Sorry

On Future pinball, or Daphne I just don't have the need for genres. But I do on my other emus. so I get the black screen can not find genres.xml. I tried making an empty genre.xml, but I'm not sure what code goes inside. If I leave it blank, the an empty black screen comes up and freezes HS. The wrong code, and then I get an error saying invalid xml or something. Can someone please paste the contents of a "Blank" Genre.xml that will send the system back to the emu's main wheel if the genre button is hit. Or perhaps explain how I can re-word the "cannot find Genres.xml" to something like "This system does not have genres".

hello guys i thought i would share my small build of a mouse i turned into a trackball.. since i didn't want to spend a lot of money for a real trackball that i would only use on occasion.. so i set out to build one i found on Google using a roll-on deodorant ball and an optical mouse i bought at a local goodwill, some scrap wood and glue.. everything i used was stuff i had laying around or i bought but i spent less than $5 for the build.. i was surprised how well it worked, it actually works better than i thought.. all i did was invert a few things in mame and it works perfect.. on mine i also desolderd the tiny micro switches and hot glued them to a button on…

hello i am going throught the nec systems using mednafen as much as possible bezel working great for nec pc engine nec pc engine cd but with nec pc-fx..it shrinks down and only takes up a little chunk of the open bezel space played with all the settings anybody have bezel working for nec pc-fx? settings? thanks

Anyone out there have a MAME XML where they have cut out all the duplicates and are willing to share with me. I weeded out all the #s and As but thought i would ask before i embark on B-Z.... It would save me ton of time.

hello i like the "look" of notepad over wordpad for working with database files however only wordpad opens it up all nice and neat and in order notepad opens it all jumbled together but if i open and save it in wordpad the next time i open it in notepad it looks ordered anyway to tell notepad to open it all nice and in order straight awaY?> THANKS
