Hey guys Frustrated. How do I get mame to fill my screen inside hyperspin? I've got bezels turned off I think everywhere...but no dice it's layed out like I think bezels are still on true. I've got it ticked to "wide screen stretch" in mameuifx as well. Stupidnoob issues

Hello everyone, I am just curious about this laptop's specs and whether you think it could handle hyperspin and emulation from mame up to PSX1 or N64. The highest I want to really go is Gamecube, but im sure it cant handle that?. I configured hyperspin and rocketlauncher today for my 4 player cabinet build only to find that the old desktop computer was extremely laggy in HyperSpin. I am trying to use this laptop to prevent having to build a computer at this point and time..... What are your thoughts. Thank you so much for the help.

has anyone tried Hyperspin on an Alienware Alpha? I know it has full windows 10 capabilities in desktop mode, just wondering if this is an option as I look to get a strong gaming pc without a crazy pricetag. If you have other good options, please let me know! Lastly, I am looking to utilize Hyperspin with Moonlight (stream to other devices). I have a raspberry pi3 and a shield tv. This alienware alpha would work as my "hub" where hyperspin lives and the streams would go to the seperate systems via moonlight (or perhaps through Steam? Idk if thats a possiblity). Anyone working with this set-up or have any ideas there if it should work or not? Thanks in advance!

Am I missing something ? I have numerous systems that randomly decide when I launch a game, to jump out of Hyperspin and play in the background on the desktop. Is there a setting I am missing or is this just a bug with Hyperspin ? I have tried many other frontends and they just don't do it, just Hyperspin. Hyperspin is now my main frontend so obviously it would be nice to find a solution. Any info appreciated Thanks

Hey guys, total noob here but i watched all of simply austins installs i have installed hyperspin along with rocketlauncher and rocketlauncher UI and such. at first i couldnt get any game to start *meaning the "enter" key did nothing, after some research i finally got it to work... but... if i select a game it open the "rocket launcher 1.1.1.1 execuable file.... which is where it says "command line... then you pick a system name and rom. i cant seem to get past this part currently i have only 1 rom which is the simpsons game. also.. the only way i was able to get passed the "cant start a game... eneter button does nothing.." was to go into hyperhq..…

With the default MAME controls for player 1 including the ctrl, alt and shift buttons, I am finding that the screen will rotate when playing multiplayer games. This is particularly noticeable in fighters where both players often hit several buttons at once. Screen rotation is easily disabled by right clicking on the desktop, selecting Graphics Options and Disabling hotkeys BUT there are many functions that windows can read with the aforementioned button combinations. As a result, is there a way to confine button presses to the currently active program? Or, if not, can I disable that functionality?

i posted this a while back and no one responded so i though i would give it a go again I have 2 aimtrak light guns set up in mame and for the most part work good except when i enable any one of the following "triple buffering, "sync to monitor refresh rate" or "wait for vertical sync". i have tried numerous versions of mame but with the same outcome. all the mame builds are with forced direct input. once i enable any one of those options, i encounter huge input lags. if i disable all of them then the gun sights move smoothly and track along the screen properly. however i then get a lot of screen tears. zombie raid is horrible to play this way i am running windo…

Hey guys, Been working to get my joytokey configured, and have a problem that I can't figure out. When I launch a game from within Hyperspin, Mame launches the game but in the background. Configuration is latest Hyperspin, Rocket Launcher and Mame. Any suggestion on where to start? Thanks, David

I recently upgraded my mobo and cpu and after the migration was done I can no longer launch games from Hyperspin and joy to key no longer autostarts with HS. Couple of things, yes I've already checked the settings.ini path- it reads correctly. My copy of rocketlauncher is at the root of c: and reads: Hyperlaunch_Path=C:\RocketLauncher\RocketLauncher.exe I checked rocketlauncherui and the fronteend is pointing to Hyperspin. I can launch games from RL and rocketlauncherUI I'm at a loss and just not sure what the issue is

I've searched and searched, and I can't figure out how to disable transitions. I'm making a custom system theme, and the random pan/zoom transition as I switch from system to system on the main screen isn't what I was hoping for. Is there a way to disable it? I've tried renaming the Media/Front End/Video/Transitions folder, removing all the files from the folder, and also unchecking everything in the optimizer tab. What am I missing?

Hi All, So I have been messing with Hyperspin for a few months now and wanted some help picking systems that have a time worthy games library. I have never been a "gamer" casual at best in the past but since I found Hyperspin I have really enjoyed checking out different systems I never had before. So what are MUST have gaming systems? Just a PSA. I switched from Xpadder to Controller Companion for my arcade cabinet: http://controllercompanion.com/ It's so much better. The Xbox Home button is bindable and works, it supports secondary bindings using a modifier key, and there's no ridiculous auto-profile and focusing issues to deal with. The only thing it can't do that xpadder does is support custom bindings for multiple controllers (multiple controllers work-just not with independent bindings). But I have yet to think of a reason why I'd ever need this.

I have many years ( since 2011 ) setting and enjoying Hyperspin , but in recent months I have seen that Aeon Nox is visual , aesthetically and functionally better then traditional theme of vertical movement of Hyperspin. I think it would be a good idea for the future HYPERBASE Live had an option to upgrade using theme of Aeon Nox . I am looking for one of the altered MAME XML files from an "older" version of MAME, specifically 0.171. I'd really like to not have 7000+ games showing up on my Hyperspin wheel and I really don't want any casino or mahjong games. Where can I find a MAME XML 0.171 -no casino -no mahjong?

Hi- Is it possible in MAME with Hyperspin to turn off the game version/revision info that appears in the bottom left of the Game Theme screen along with the game title? I'd like for it to say, for example, "1942" not "1942 (rev B)". I think I read something about that but can't seem to find it now. Man, the more I learn about this whole thing, the more questions I have! I'm using MAMEUIFX 173, by the way.

Hello, I am new to the forums and HyperSpin in general, so I apologize if I accidentally break a rule that wasn't touched upon in the general forum rules. I am curious to know if there is any option or setting or some such that I can do in order to create a hidden menu that isn't normally select-able, but will show up upon entering a sequence of key presses/inputs. For example: >scrolling through lists like normal >decide to enter Konami code... >BOOM! I am entered into a secret list of extra games. Is that possible to set up? Thank you and/or sorry in advance!

Does anyone know of a way to port your steam pinball arcade tables to a older version of the pinball arcade non steam version exe so you can launch them individually with hyperspin? ive bought all the tables and would love to be able to do this.

Hi guys, girls, whoever else...? First of all, love the program and idea, I've recently ordered the parts for my first gaming PC and plan on using it as a full-on home entertainment system (demanding modern games, older games via Hyperspin, movies, TV, streaming services, etc all via Mediaportal) which are due to all arrive within the next three days - excited as hell about that!
