I've tried to piece together the rules regarding torrent based distribution of Hyperspin art/wheels/themes etc., but I haven't succeeded yet. Some things I found on the forums: - There is a torrent floating around on the torrent sites, but it's very old content. - There is a torrent in the download section. (I haven't been able to find it yet, but that may just be my failure) - Hyperspin content may not be re-hosted. - Feel free to create your own torrent and distribute. So, is there a torrent based distribution of the Hyperspin content? Is it up to date? If not, is anyone planning to create an up to date torrent in the near future or would it be allowed to do so you…

Hi All, First off, this community is just great. I have been doing Mame related stuff for years and just gave HS a try. Love it and love the helpfulness I have seen. Here are my questions. While I have been doing Mame stuff for a while I have only ever played off MameUI and this is a whole new level. Here are my questions... 1. I have a complete .151 set. But in reality I just want about 100-150 games. I have done my homework and have the ROM names. I know I can remove everything ... but ... I just got all of my artwork setup on the full set. How do I prune down my Rom and not scramble HS. Or will it scramble HS? 2. Forgot...no clue. Thanks!, David

Hello- I'm a total NOOB here, but I've been following SimplyAustin's EXCELLENT tutorial to configure hyperspin and setup MAME. I have my xbox 360 controller mapped to be able to play MAME games launched through HyperHQ, but when I launch the Hyperspin front end, my controller doesn't work in navigating through the wheels. I'm assuming that I need to enable something in HyperHQ to get this to work? Also, I'm running this on a 60" TV through a Windows HTPC machine and the screen resolution is too low as it only uses about half the screen. Where can I change the resolution settings so I can stretch it to the full screen? Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, If i keep my Drive letter of my hyperspin hard drive the same, am i able to change the OS on the SSD that has only the Os system on it, leaivng my hyperspin drive intact. Has anyone done this and should the only issue be some emulators?

Hi guys, I'm new here. I've been using Hyperspin for a while now and I haven't turned it on in months, but this week I decided to play around with it again. I used to have the same configs in Windows 7 and it worked properly but since I moved on to Windows 8, it doesn't work properly anymore. I tried everything, updated Hyperspin, changed the controls in Hyper HQ, nothing changed, it just scrolls endlessly and only enter and ESC are working, it's a nightmare. I tried to look for a similar issue on the internet but I haven't found it. What can be done to solve this problem? Thanks in advance. ps: I can make a video of it, if needed.

Hiya as a new member who has asked a few questions and very much appreciated all the help, I am so lost. Looking through the forums where is the guy who made hyperspin??????????? Does he come around and then disappear for years???? Why is it such a big no no to ask about him???? I noticed when ever someone asks about him they get mean responses from moderators of the site. The reason I ask, I was going to pay for the platinum but am scared, scared if I ask the wrong thing I will be kicked off the site, or outcasted and then I wasted my money. Using Hyperspin and it works well. PC is a beast, GTX 980, i5 3570, etc. Mame works great EXCEPT in Killer Instinct 1 and 2, during certain parts (like knocking someone of the roof or during the FMV Vs. screens, etc) the sound will stutter, game freeze then go back to normal. Example - just as I'm about to hit someone off the stage, the game freezes slight, sound stutter and then resumes. Same for when I'm doing a fatality. I've tried to fix it by changing configs of mame (turn off vsync, make sure no other programs are running, etc) but it's still there. Any suggestions on what else I should do to fix it? I have been configuring Hyperspin on a new machine I recently built and have now found out that my Intel Core i3-4130 Haswell Dual-Core 3.4GHz LGA 1150 54W Processor with Intel HD Graphics 4400 won't play .mp4 videos in Hyperspin due to the Intel 4400 so now I need to purchase a video card to have videos in Hyperspin. Will this card be sufficient for Hypersping and MAME? I don't won't to purchase it to fix one issue and end up causing other issues? I would have to say this has been the hardest one so far, struggled to find a clean rom set, the naming convention for the roms and media ( wheel art, cart, video etc ) are not correct. I currently have a mix match with lots of missing stuff due to naming. Has anyone shared a clean complete set of roms and media ? which is 100% matching

Trying to get Super Mario Brothers X AHK to work for clicking the start game button. When I try to launcher the game through RL Windows 7 pops up asking me what file to open the AHK file with. Any ideas? Thanks

I'm using my wireless ps4 controller for everything in hyperspin. Almost everything uses direct input with the exception of NullDC which doesn't support direct input, but does work with xinput. My current solution is to exit out of hyperspin, start inputmapper (which gives my controller xinput) and then go back into hyperspin and play Dreamcast (NullDC). I really want a something that is automated (so my controller automatically goes to xinput for NullDC and then reverts back when I exit out of NullDC and back to hyperspin), but I've come to a road block. I've written a batch file that starts inputmapper although I have no idea how to get it to launch with Hyperspin…

I've seen a lot of people install a power button on their cabinets to boot up the PC when it's pressed. I know you hook that button up to the motherboard, but how would you do that? Is there a special wire I would need?

Hi all, I took PaintNothing's idea and recreated or redesigned his KoolJeep style classics wheels to better suit my regular style wheel art. These can be used with his classics themes in your main menu or as genre sub wheels in MAME which is what I'm doing. I also included a wheel I made for 4 player games which I also plan to use as a genre in MAME. Just thought I'd share these in case anyone is interested. The images can be found in my FTP folder.

From my post's you can see I'm really new here. Reading for a year+. Memeber for a few months. I grew up in the arcades and the passion and support of the Retro Gaming community has blown me away! I've looked around and havn't really found an answer to this question: How can I help? or What does the Community need? There must be others who are wondering the same! I can do some things. Communication, Accessibility, Look and Feel, In my line of work we talk about On-Ramps. Ways to get new volunteers to where they fit. and so I'm thinking there must be lots of people out there like me who want to help but just don't know how.

I have came to the conclusion I have messed up my order of how I want my systems in Hyperspin is there any way to change the order without going back and re-configuring all my systems from scratch.
