My plan for this weekend is to embark on an epic journey through Final Fantasy 8, emulated via retroarch. My concern is that I'm going to get to disk 2 and my saves won't work or transfer over etc in RA. From reading around, I gather the best route is to use an m3u file pointing to cue files. I'm doing this, but wanting someone to confirm this works, and if this doesn't, point me in the right direction to a reliable way to swap disks / saves via RA. Thanks!

Hey, So Ia m wanting to learn the electric guitar, alway have wanted to and I think I will try. I tried once before (much younger) but I gave up. I don't want this to happen again. I have a friend who is going to do lessons with me about twice a month, but wanted to work on things myself via book? website? video's? I have seen so many sites etc that claim they can teach me guitar but I am confused as to what is the best way to go. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations? thanks Jim

Been trying out this new emulator called MEmu, I ran across it over at the xda site, I've tried Bluestacks and other android emulators but this is waaay faster. for my test I downloaded the drastic.apk, and tried out a few DS games, I tried two Castlevania - ran full speed, and Bowsers inside story- wanted to run but quickly closed, id imagine because how big it is. But fun to play around with at least. Give it a try, it will definitely be one to keep an eye on for sure! http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/memu-powerful-android-emulator-to-play-t3157906 developer forum http://www.xyaz.cn/en/ Website

Pac-Man Pack Theme (5.4MB): https://mega.co.nz/#!iwIRnBRQ!XinLKk...c25SI8HfPvXlC8 Pac-Man Pack xml (work in progress) (rev4): https://mega.co.nz/#!yhQllB5A!IP7C3Rw0WKeRdv98CHDLSFbDFtMbeK2kmtroAyXwiJs This little project is going ok so far. My goal is to have a ton of just pac-man games in one 'system'. If you look at the image here-I have a section named: "Pac-Man pack" Each of the games you see launch through hyperlaunchhq and hyperspin. I basically make significant use of 'alternate emulators' and point other emulator's rom paths additionally to my pac-man pack-where I have roms that are named with numbers like 0001 Atari 2600 Pac-Man. This numbering scheme i…

The Electric Playground has come to an end after 25 seasons on TV in Canada. This was the best and in recent years only Video Game show on TV for those living in the best part of North America. Sad to see it go. For those who like video games check out their youtube channel: They have tons of videos from recent and past shows. https://www.youtube.com/user/EPNetworkTV

I don't expect to get any responses from this thread but because I love Tim Wrights work and it's part of my nostaglia I thought everyone should at least be aware of this, even it you don't know his work. Tim did the bulk of the music from the early WipEout games and is reworking the tracks from WipEout, Wipeout 2097 and Wipeout Pure. There is a time limited on the preorders so don't delay. Thanks. http://www.coldstorage.org.uk/chillout/

For some reason I have always assumed everyone here updated every release and that's why they only have the latest xml. But I have begun to realize that there may be more people like me who really dread updating. For the record: I am running .158 but with the recent MAME/MESS merger I will likely be updating within the next release or two. I have never used MESS so I am unsure of what will be added but more games can't be a bad thing right? Feel free to post what some of the games I have been missing out on are. Or what games to stay away from LOL. I am also looking for feedback on how people manage their MAME. Do you update MAME every release? Proficient with clrma…

So I enjoy hosting lan parties... Rather than busting out all my disks, and using my typical Windows 98 rig. I was thinking hey why don't I use Exodos use a version that has the NE2000 support like DOSBOX_SVN_MB6 or another version. I found a rocking list of IPX based games on moby so I could limit my meagre library to just the ones that are IPX only so I came up with a process to call network.bat in the autoexec section of the dosbox.conf per game like the collection has that would mount another drive with my networking stuff and load up the lsl, ne2000, ipxodi, etc. I had all of this working very well and was pretty stoked because I wanted the whole thing isol…

Hey Guys, Our van has a built in DVD player but the kids are constantly scratching the dvds. The player has avi (yellow/red) in. I am looking for a cheap portable player that can plug into the jacks and watch movies. I am guessing I would have to run a power plug to a cigarette lighter plug... any suggestions?

Hey everyone, Wasn't sure where to look for help with this one, as I didn't find much on google. I recently got BlueStacks up and running on my PC and hyperspin. I downloaded Fruit Ninja to test it out, and it works great. I downloaded Chaos Rings from the store, and when I attempt to launch it, a box in the top right says it is "Preparing to use App", cycles through a few things, and then closes. Does anyone have any experience with apps that are a bit stubborn on BlueStacks? I know some just won't work, but I read at least one other place that mentioned the game Chaos Rings does work. Any and all tips and help is appreciated

I think we all have our epic stories when finishing the game for a first time or beating an all-time highscore or just getting past that one bit where we were stuck forever. I would like this to be the place where we can share such stories with each other. Back when Gran Turismo 4 came out, it was the very first time Polyphony Digital introduced 24hrs endurance races. A buddy and myself decided to give it a go at the Nordschleife, better know as the Nürburgring or notoriously named by Sir Jackie Stewart as the "Green Hell". I made a racing cabinet back when GT3 was released so we installed ourselves and set about to tackle this fun racing track. For those who are not …
