Nostalgia runs fine in fullscreen. But in windowed mode I get the following error. DirectX is correctly installed as far as I know. Anybody have this happen? Fix? thanks craig

So I've been sitting on a bunch of amazon gift cards and been waiting to take the plunge and buying a PC just for running hyperspin. My goal is to keep it pretty retro, so no need for anything past Dreamcast. That being said I know the recommendations are dual core and at least 4 gb of ram so I was at this this. From what I can tell it meets my spec requirements and has decent reviews, but I am interested in what people think. If you have better suggestions, I am looking to stay around that price, but willing to go a bit higher if needed, but limited to amazon. Thanks in advance!

evening, I have a config in place but it shows me the WAE @OK@ to config before starting a game and its a pain and removes the whole glory of having my cab be seamless..anyone got pointers how to remove that?

Hi Guys, I'm well into my build of my Retrocade using the 2 player kit from Tippers and the gorgeous artwork from MikeKim -- I'll be making a separate thread tomorrow with progress reports, but I thought this problem/solution were worth a separate post. When planning out my build, I knew I wanted a removable control panel, but I also knew I wanted it to be superr sturdy. I saw a few people using velcro and mounting blocks. Personally, I didn't quite trust velcro and the mounting blocks were a huge disappointment (more on that in my build log). So after selling my cab and playing the other games of life, I decided to come back and build a small HyperSpin setup. I see A LOT has changed (on the forum and with HyperLaunch). My question, is there a thread or somewhere someone can point me to that will catch me up to speed? I started again from scratch, getting roms and artworks, no issues there. My problem is with HyperSpin, actually, probably HyperLaunch. What the heck happened to the previous simple, out-of-the-box and ready to go setup? I setup 50+ systems in the past, but now I can't even get MAME to launch. Any tutorials?

Hi guys, Few questions and hoping someone can help; I'm a bit confused over artwork and which type of XMLs/romsets to use. I've downloaded HyperSpin and downloaded all artwork for the 'default' systems on the Wheel, so I'll be moving onto other things next, like the Amiga/Atari ST etc. I haven't configured any emulators at this stage, I just want to get all my artwork in place first. 1) I read that HS works best with No-Intro romsets as this is what the artwork naming is based on - is this correct? If so.... 2) Is there a definitive list that shows us what type of romset each system has its artwork named after? E.g: If I download the Amiga XML from HyperList, how do I …

Not sure what happened, but my Kangaroo theme comes up fine under MAME, but the .flv won't play any longer. Other game videos and corresponding themes come up fine. The flv is in the folder with the others and is named kangaroo.flv. Any ideas? Thanks, Jason

I'm looking for a pc to run my 85 system cab.....I used to think amd / intel...same thing right?....not according to the benchmark scores. Or am I just finding biased websites? I don't want to blow a wad on cash twice so I'm thinking about just eating a couple more hundred dollars and doing an i5 build...any thoughts? I have it set to run from hyperhq. I'm using an ledwiz-16 with led blinky. and it works fine on HS and mame. But I'm having issues getting it to dance to the music. When I have the ledblinky configuration tool open, and I run a test, it will ask me to play some music. So if I open xbmc directly OR open HS and use my wheel to open xbmc in HS, all the dancing lights work to the music. But without the configuration tool open. when I re start HS, no dancing lights in xbmc. I tried running it from a batch file like described HERE. It runs fine but still did not get it working on its own. Any suggestions?

Would it be OK to simply start a thread where people could share their xpadder profiles for systems/games? Then folks could use those profiles as a starting point on their own systems? Would probably still have to tweak them, but still would be a good starting point. thanks craiganderson

Is there a way to set one default manual for all games under one system within hyperpause. For instance i have one PDF that has all Atari 2600 game instructions within the one file. No matter what game I am playing, i would like this manual to be displayed when i go to hyperpause. Any help would be appreciated. sorry if the answer is somewhere else.
